Loose Powders -Philosophy - Amazing Grace shimmer puff
Paintedbears 4/18/2006 1:07:00 AM
I agree with the previous reviewer. What is the point of this tee tiny little puff? I lurve me some AG, so had to have one...snagged it on eBay (way overpaid at $13) and was so disappointed. Faint scent, tiniest amount of powder when I tried to apply it...sigh. Just a waste, IMHO.
My very favorite of all the Lush items! I simply cannot get enough of this one! Sat in my tub last night until the water grew cold...I just love the sweet spicy scent so much. Contemplated dunking my head below the surface so I could get the aroma everywhere! Turns your tub water the color of tea, but well worth it in my opinion. Not a pain to clean up either, unlike some I could mention. This is a true thumbs up all the way up!
Okay, I didn't even get rubber until reading the reviews here, then when back and smelled it, and BAM...there it was! But I do not find it off-putting. I adore this scent! A fabulous MUAer sent me a sample and I almost didn't try it on myself! SO glad I did! I adore it! Kept sniffing myself all day long! Didn't last as long as I'd like, but while it did...ahhh...bliss! Deeply sweet, not cloying. I get a hint of black tea and exotic spices...softly wafting vanilla musk on the dry down...slips of sandalwood...teases of bergamot.
Fragrances -Earthen Treasures - Moisturizing Body Mist in Warm Vanilla Sugar
Paintedbears 3/26/2004 7:18:00 PM
My first order from ET and I am pleased as can be! This mist is just right - not too overpowering, not too subtle! I got it in Warm Vanilla Sugar and the scent is dead-on! Barbara is a doll and a very conscientious etailer. Her items are quality and she has found a new customer in me!
Lotions/ Creams -Earthen Treasures - Super Moisturizing Lotion Bar

My first order from ET and I am pleased as can be! This lotion bar is soooooooo smooth and moisturizing! I got it in Warm Vanilla Sugar and the scent is dead-on! Love this type...the push-up lotion as opposed to those that come in a tin (too messy). Barbara is a doll and a very conscientious etailer. Her items are quality and she has found a new customer in me!
Okay, well, I did try to like this...was so excited to get it! However, several things make it useless to me: 1. The colors are blah and just like many I own aready, and as Groovynub pointed out, not finely milled at all. IT got all over the place with the brush provided, even after repeatedly tapping to get the excess off. 2. I do not need a stencil to show me how to cover my eyelid base with a darker color, then highlight with a lighter color under the brows. What I need a stencil for is the middle ground...shading. How to accent with a medium color. Found no help here. While a medium color is provided for this purpose, there is no instructions and no stencil for it. 3. No mirror...hello? Need to see what I am doing here! I will not buy this again. And have requested a refund and return after one use. Not impressed at all. I can already do what these stencils show you how to do...and most gals can, I think. A waste of money, IMHO! UPDATE: Emailed several times requesting a refund and never got a response. Total rip-off!
Pretty impressive! I have been searching for body items with a genuine marshmallow scent...and this is it! Very mellow but sweet (not cloying) marshmallow scent and tiny mica sparkles...beautiful! Not too glitzy...smells awesome and tastes good too! Two thumbs way up!
I am so not impressed! Seemed like a cool idea...but while I dig exotic vanilla fragrances, their quiz seemed to think I was more suited to cloyingly sweet floral girly scents. Simply nasty and a waste of time and money.
Primer/ Corrector -Philosophy - The Present Clear Makeup
Paintedbears 10/1/2003 2:35:00 AM
Okay, I was skeptical after reading the reviews here...but danged if it didn't work fabulously for me! My lumpy, bumpy skin looked smooth as glass! I waited about 5-7 minutes before applying my foundation, and it just glided on. And stayed where it was supposed to all day. No shine, no grease...just lovely matte skin! A new HG!
This is not the scent of your cedar chest...but the freshly cut timber from a live cedar tree. Slightly sappy, clean and earthy. Only reason I wouldn't repurchase is because I can find nothing to layer it with, but it gets major points for actually smelling like CEDAR!
Takes me back to being a kid, sitting on the back steps, snapping string beans from our garden for dinner. Every time I snapped the end off one, THIS scent wafted up at me...and stayed on my fingers for hours afterwards. This is the organic green scent of real string beans...not store-bought!
Fragrances -Demeter - Tangerine pick me up cologne spray
Paintedbears 9/19/2003 7:03:00 AM
Another favorite for layering with other scents. Those of us who have actually picked a tangerine from a tree (not those pitiful, tatseless things you see in the grocery stores) and held its warm skin to our noses and breathed in...we know Demeter is spot-on with this scent. Light, faintly citrus, clean and a little floral. Two thumbs up!
I didn't think I would like this, but it has certainly grown on me! There is a hint of clove, easy to identify, but it is more complex than that. There is definitely some wood smoke, a hint of metallic sharpness, a tad bit of wet green wood, and its laced with a gently sweet, dried floral. Two thumbs up.
Just got my third bottle of this...love it...crisp, slightly green, and really smells like fresh carrots. I find it interesting to layer this with other scents to give them just a hint of green.
Bath Treatments -LUSH - Prince of Bathness Bath Bomb
Paintedbears 9/19/2003 6:52:00 AM
Kind of a disappointment after reading the hype on the website about this one. Was expecting a stronger scent (hardly smelt anything), more moisturization (very little) and for my water to turn yellow (not even a pale yellow). Why Lush calls this their "best - bar none" I cannot imagine. Nice in a generic way. Nothing to get excited about.
