I like the color idea of this blush but it is just WAY too pigmented. All you need is maybe two bristles of a brush dipped into the pot and you've got bright fushia cheeks. Seriously, I've not found a single method of application that doesn't leave a clownish look on my face. Also, I was hoping it would be a true red when applied. It's more like fuschia. Too bad because, like I said, I really like the idea of a true red blush.
I love the shade and texture of this blush. It's a very flattering, neutral and muted baby pink. Usually, Nyx cream blushes are too pigmented for me to wear. This one is different! I normally just dip a stippling brush into the pot and swirl it on my cheeks. Very easy and hard to over-do it because the color isn't intense. It leaves a natural and sweet pink glow on my cheeks. I mean, literally it glows. If you don't like a dewy sheen on your cheeks...don't get this blush. The only downside is that it only lasts maybe 3 or 4 hours on my face before it just disappears. For that reason alone, I will not repurchase. I can't see trying to touch up a cream blush at work.
Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Clump Crusher mascara
PISALISA 6/9/2013 10:13:00 PM
I usually only use tubing mascaras because all other types either smudge or flake on me. This is literally the only non-tubing mascara that doesn't leave me looking like a panda. The bonus? It really doesn't clump!!! My lashes look very big and healthy with just two layers. Love this mascara and will certainly purchase again!
I don't get the hype with this blush. It barely shows up on my NC25 skin. Also, it's incredibly frosty and not flattering when it settles into my pores. I have and love the Orgasm Multiple and there is just no comparison. The Orgasm Multiple has more color and isn't as glittery. The powder version of Orgasm is probably the least useful item in my makeup collection.
Bronzers -Too Faced - Endless Summer 16 Hour Bronzer
PISALISA 5/27/2013 9:10:00 PM
Too Faced Endless Summer is the new (2013) long-wearing bronzer which promises 16 hours of wear. I bought this bronzer to replace my beloved Chocolate Soleil, ( which I have loved HARD for over a year). I purchased Endless Summer in hopes that it would not melt off during the hot and humid summer on the East Coast. Honestly, I haven't worn this bronzer for 16 hours, so I can't tell you if it lasts that long. But I can say that it gives me solid color for the entire day, until i take it off in the evening. In comparison with Chocolate Soleil, this bronzer wears nicer. By nicer, I mean it doesn't cake or eccentuate my pores. It is very smooth and only has the slightest bit of shimmer. Color-wise, this bronzer is quite a bit lighter than Chocolate Soleil and more brown. Honestly, I can see this becoming my HG bronzer...mostly because of how flawless it appears and STAYS on my face. Love it!
This is a very unique fragrance. It's sweet maraschino cherry scent is very pleasant and instantly picks my mood up. It does kind of remind me of Luden's Wild Cherry lozenges... but I like that. The staying power is better than most Escada fragrances. Overall, this is a great Spring/Summer scent and I will definitely repurchase again.
Lipstick -Maybelline - Color Whisper in Petal Rebel
PISALISA 5/18/2013 10:06:00 AM
This is the shade and formula that I've been searching for. Petal Rebel is the ultimate "my lips but better" lipstick. Even though it is a light blue-based pink, it is NOT opaque...and that is what I love about this shade! It's not at all frosty and is extremely comfortable on my lips. It's not greasy, sticky or heavy. This has become my go-to lippie because it imparts the prettiest pink glow on my lips.
Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Lilash - Purified Eyelash Stimulator
PISALISA 5/6/2013 12:56:00 PM
I am comparing this product to Rapid Lash, since I have tried them both. Lilash is considerably more expensive than Rapid Lash. I noticed growth, but my lashes grew nowhere near as fast or long as Rapidlash. Lilash definitely irritated my lash line and stung horribly when I got some in my eye. Don't get me wrong...it works. But why spend more than twice the $$$ on such a harsh product, which also gives mediocre results? I'll stick to my Rapid Lash!
Treatments (Eye) -Promaxyl - Eyelash Renewal serum Rapidlash
PISALISA 5/6/2013 12:49:00 PM
Listen up, ladies...this product is AMAZING! I was very hesitant to spend $30 on an eyelash growth serum because I was skeptical of it's claims. I can tell you, with 100% certainty, this serum has at least DOUBLED the length of my natural eyelashes. It's incredibly easy to use...just a swipe of the brush on each lash line, before going to bed. I started noticing a difference in length after about 1 1/2 weeks. The full results were noticeable after about 4 weeks. I would have never believed that longer lashes would increase the attractiveness of a person's face this much. I wish that it would thicken them too but I am still thrilled with the results. I have very sensitive eyes and have accidentally gotten this serum in my eyes a few times. It did not burn or irritate my eyes at all! I'm hooked...I can never let these lashes go away.
I want to scream "HG" from the mountain tops! This deep conditioner has left my hair in the best shape it's ever been. Nothing, and I mean nothing, has ever made my hair so soft and easy to style. This deep conditioner cost me about $4.00 on sale at Walgreens...but I would easily drop ten times that amount because the results are stellar! I've tried K-pak, Morrocan Oil mask, and every other high dollar conditioning mask on the market...nothing compares! I'm going to buy up as many tubes of this as possible before they sell out!
I have found my HG foundation, and Nars Sheer Glow is IT! Absolutely amazing. Flawless coverage and the most natural skin-like finish. I have to admit, when I ordered this foundation, I expected it to make my face look dewy. It actually leaves a kind of matte finish, BUT, it still leaves the most gorgeous glow on my face. Most matte foundations are very flat, masky and not at all flattering on faces with fine lines. This foundation makes me look radiant without the dewy look I thought I needed to look fresh and youthful. I don't know how Nars did it but this foundation is pure genius!
NYX Milk is a very creamy white eyeshadow pencil. I love that it glides on so smoothly and lasts most of the day on me. The shade is a true white color (without blue or yellow hues like some whites). It is completely matte, which is a hard quality to find in a white shadow. I use this pencil almost every day on the inner part of my eyes and on the water lines. It leaves me looking awake and fresh all day. The only (but major) gripe I have is that it is near impossible to sharpen because it is plastic and very thick. But, for the results, this pencil is still worth it.
This is probably the most flattering blush I own. I love buying new and exciting blushes in trendy shades but none of them make me look as flawless as Dusty Rose. This blush is a staple in my makeup collection. It's my go-to blush for when I want that "I'm sexy but didn't really have to put any effort in to it" look. NYX makes some amazing blushes and I will certainly keep this one in my stash for a long time.
Foundations -Wet 'n' Wild - Coverall Cream Foundation
PISALISA 3/16/2013 10:35:00 AM
***Edit*** I bumped this up two lippies because it works very well when applied with a wet Beauty Blender. This definitly helps with preventing the caked-on overly matte look. I am really liking this foundation now... I might actually LOVE it. I currently own more than 15 foundations and I reach for this one every day! **Original Review** This is a decent foundation for those who like a VERY matte complexion. I do not like completely matte foundations so this will never be a useful foundation for me. It gives great coverage and lasts very long. This foundation still looked the same on my face 6 hours into wearing it. Applying it was a pain because it dries too quickly and any layering resulted in extreme cake face. Also, the color selection is horrible. I will not repurchase simply because this formula does not suit me at all.
I admit that I am somewhat of a high-end blush hoor. I have spent a pretty dollar on many big-name blushers and never really bothered with drug store brands except for Milani. I read the reviews on the Fit Me blushes and mostly what people do not like about it is the fact that it is not deeply pigmented. This is EXACTLY what I love about this blush! What a concept...a blush that you cannot go overboard with! I prefer the shade "Light Mauve" to "Dark Mauve" but both blush shades give the most understated but beautiful glow. So what if I have to dig my brush into the pan...it's only $4.00!
