I've used this about a dozen times. My base routine is Cerave PM moisturizer, Elta MD physical sunscreen, then whatever foundation I'm using that day. Typically I'll use a UD optical blurring brush, though I use my fingers pretty often too. The foundation stays on me all day but causes an awful lot of flakes on me and by the time I get home just looks generally weird. My application is very light-handed, meaning I use a pea-sized blob on the back of my hand, from which I dot my face in a few strategic locations and then blend out fast. When that's done, I'll add more to cover the odd pimple, that mole I dislike, etc. There's almost always a little to be wiped off at the end of application. I've used fingers, brush, disposable sponges and none of these produced good results for me. I've sheered the foundation out with my Cerave and with my Laura Mercier oil-free TM and neither worked. Maybe I should be using more instead of less, but the more I use the more physically irritating the experience of wearing the foundation is for me. I would have stopped using this base even if it'd looked good because I experience intense itching and tightness a while after application that lasts until I take it off. It's very unpleasant and I don't have the sort of willful masochism in me that it would take to endure such for the sake of good-looking skin. My skin's unusually sensitive, so I'm not at all surprised that my result is different from most people's. I hope they never discontinue something that gives good results for so many. I will say that this product keeps me very matte from morning 'til night, which is a quality I prefer in my foundations.

This really doesn't do it for me--it's just a bunch of flowers, and it's nothing I haven't smelled a hundred times before. Not distinctive at all. The bottle is really gaudy, too. The original Boyfriend is my favorite scent so I was looking forward to the sequel, but for me this perfume is lacking.

There was no coverage or evening out of skintone. It's full of glitter, which I hate, and didn't look good at all. I tried it as a primer for liquid foundation and it didn't improve application or mattify. It also gave me the itchies in the usual places, so even if it'd worked for me I couldn't have kept it. I had no luck with this.

Two of these cloths get all makeup off for me, but I find the lingering perfume too offensive for me to consider buying this product again. Probably end up throwing some away in the end. I think I'll try the Sephora brand wipes next, see if I like those any better.

Fragrances -Givenchy - Very Irresistible L'intense

I'm not equipped to discuss the artistry behind the perfume, but I will say that I like this perfume an awful lot. It's the only rose perfume I've ever found tolerable. It's extremely durable, too: I can apply at 5 a.m., right before I leave for work, and still smell it wafting out of my cleavage while I make supper in the evening. The smell stays pleasing through all those hours. This is an impressive perfume.

Shampoo -TRESemme - Fresh Start Waterless Foam Shampoo

This stuff reeks powerfully. I can smell it hours after application and the scent is not at all pleasant. It does not degrease at all; in fact, it makes my hair feel slightly oilier than it was before I applied the product. Plain cornstarch is more effective.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Volume Exact [DISCONTINUED]

This mascara applies easily, does not clump, and has a good color. The mascara doesn't bleed onto my lower lids but is very easy to wash off at the same time. The brush works as it should. However, it begins to flake badly within an hour or two of application, and this both spoils my foundation and causes a lot of eye irritation. It's a real pity, because I like the look of it when it's freshly applied, but I can't make it work for me.

Top/Base Coats -Revlon - Multi-care base and top

This stuff takes hours to dry. I applied it midafternoon and it was still tacky at midnight, when I went to bed. Of course when I woke my nails were spoiled by impressions of my bed linens and fingerprints. I live in a blazingly hot desert, so there was no humidity to interfere or anything like that. There was no difference in the amount of time it takes for the paint to flake off, either. This product is a failure.

Lip Gloss -Maybelline - Color Sensational Lip Gloss (All Colors)

Mocha glaze from this line is my default lip color. It's an orangey sort of pinkish color that suits my complexion well. There's some shimmer, but not too much, so I don't feel like I'm using something too young for me. It feels good on the lips and shows up wonderfully. It does not last long on me, but that could be because I bite my lips when working--nothing ever lasts on me. I've rebought this several times and have never regretted doing so. I also tried Touch of Toffee and didn't care for it, but that's just because it was too close of a match for my own lip color for my taste. The feel of the product is just as good as that of Mocha Glaze.

Conditioner -Desert Essence - Coconut Conditioner

I enjoy this product. Paired with the shampoo my hair has remained soft; the ends are not at all crunchy and I haven't experienced a weird buildup or anything like that. Coconut fragrance isn't something I care for all that much, but this version is tolerable. Several people have told me that they like how it smells. I like how it feels. Also, as someone with very bad eyesight, I appreciate that the tube for the conditioner has dark pink highlights and the tube for the shampoo has green. That helps make the packaging user friendly.

Shampoo -Desert Essence - Coconut Shampoo

This works well for me. I've used it for about a month and my hair doesn't seem any drier than it was before and there's no weird buildup or anything either. I've never cared for coconut scented products, but this version is more tolerable than many. I will continue to use this shampoo for the foreseeable future.

Liquid -Shiseido - The Makeup Dual Balancing Foundation SPF 17

The color is a good match for my skin tone and it applies easily. My skin doesn't like it, though; after half an hour or so I start feeling my skin react. If it weren't for that sensitivity I'd keep using it.

Shampoo -Desert Essence - Fragrance Free Shampoo

I appreciated that the lack of sulfates and fragrance did not irritate my skin, but this shampoo is too harsh for my hair. It's become dried out even with my formerly sufficient conditioner and weekly camellia oil routine.

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Fresh Air Makeup Base

This stuff doesn't make me itch, doesn't give me a rash, and so far, I haven't suffered any acne outbreaks from it. This foundation also looks good on my skin. I have a sort of light-medium skin tone and the shade Linen Beige suits me well. It's long-lasting and easy to apply with both a brush and a damp sponge, depending on my mood that day. The biggest thing I dislike about this foundation is the cloying scent to it that lingers all day. Perfumes really aren't something I care for. Also, it baffles me that my skin likes something that reeks so much, since in the past it has made its objection to scented products very clear, but if it works, it works, I guess.
