Lip Treatments -eos - LE Strawberry Sorbet & Passionfruit 2-Pack
OhsnappitsEm 6/23/2012 9:46:00 PM
I am reviewing the strawberry sorbet balm now that its in the permanent collection.Like others the cute packaging lured me in, I thought that I would fall in love with this lip balm because of how much hyped up it was. What really attracted me to it was the all natural ingredients and how organic it was. Besides the cute packaging there's nothing that special about this lip balm. The scent smells pretty artificial but like strawberries and it didn't taste awful. Initially it felt pretty good on my lips at first but I wasn't that smooth and didn't glide that well, I imagine the more it gets used up the more easier it will be to apply. However the moisturization it gave didn't last that long and I would have to reapply every 15 minutes at least. I really wanted to like this but with constant use my lips started to get drier and irritated. This might be ok if your lips are in good condition but I don't think its suited for dry or chapped lips.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Xtreme Wear Lacey Lilac 270
OhsnappitsEm 6/23/2012 6:01:00 PM
Perfect color for spring and summer! I have tried a few of the Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear line and so far i'm very impressed. They are around $2 to $3 depending where you get it and the formula is great for a drugstore polish. Lacey Lilac is the prettiest pale lilac purple and I get compliments on it all the time. It looks great on my fair skin but I imagine anyone can wear it. Surprisingly this isn't that streaky for being a pastel polish and it only needs two coats to be opaque. The lasting time is pretty good and the polish holds up pretty well. I love this color and I know I'll be getting a lot of use out of it.

Lips -Nivea - A Kiss of Milk and Honey
OhsnappitsEm 6/21/2012 4:29:00 PM
This is the newest lip balm in my little collection and it is one of my favorites. Nivea lip balms have always been one of my favorites since discovering them a few years ago. This is my third one in addition to the kiss of moisture and the kiss of smoothness that I have tried. I've always been curious about this one and since it had great reviews I decided to pick it up. I really like the packaging it looks cute to me at least and it goes up all the way so you can see how much product you have, in addition to that you get more product than your usual drugstore lip balm. This balm is yellow and I was a little hesitant about it at first but it doesn't leave a yellow tint at all and goes on clear just like any other balm. It does not have any weird taste and the smell is decent,a little floral with a hint of honey. It goes on buttery soft and I can feel it moisturizing my lips the second it goes on, the moisture lasts a pretty good amount of time and it actually sinks into your lips rather than just sitting on them. Another great thing is that after it wears off my lips don't feel as dry and I don't feel like I have to apply this right away. I use this one on days when i'm just at home and its great to use at night as well. The only con would be that it doesn't have spf but I have my kiss of smoothness for that. This is great for the occasional dryness but I don't think it would help anyone with severely dry chapped lips but its a great daily lip balm and overall I would reconmend it.

Lip Treatments -Nivea - A Kiss of Smoothness Hydrating Lip Care
OhsnappitsEm 4/19/2012 2:31:00 PM
A did a review of this lip balm quite awhile ago but I figured I would redo it since this seems to be reformulated. The older one I got and wasnt so pleased with had an spf of four and the tube was a bit more of a lighter blue. A few months ago I needed a new lip balm and came across a two pack of these at Walmart so I picked it up. The newer ones have an spf of ten and I prefer these ones over the older version, in fact I have repurchased this a few times already. This has the typical vanilla smell and feels very nice and smooth going on. I love that the spf has been highered and I feel like the newer reformulated version last longer. I always have a tube of this laying around and it is good as an everyday lip balm.

Lip Treatments -Palmers - Cocoa Butter Formula Moisturizing Lip Balm w/Vitamin E & Spf 15
OhsnappitsEm 4/13/2012 12:34:00 AM
Terrible lip balm. I mistaked this for the cocoa butter stick every raves about as a lip balm. Everytime I would apply this I had a weird reaction to it and it would sting my lips and make them turn all red and irritated, looking at the other reviews im not the only one this has happened to.It has a hard consistancy and just feels like a thick layer of wax on my lips yuck! The scent of this wasnt too bad but over time it would get sickening sweet. I had to toss this out after a few uses because it was that bad.

Conditioner -Aveeno - Nourish + Condition Leave-In Treatment
OhsnappitsEm 4/7/2012 9:48:00 PM
I got this a few months ago but have been constantly reaching for it lately. My hair is straight, normal and pretty healthy since I dont really do anything special to it but it can get a little dry at the ends. This comes in a spray bottle and its just a white liquid. The nozzle works pretty well you can just evenly spray it in your hair but I prefer to pump about two to three sprays in my hand and run it through ears length down of my hair after its a little bit air dried and it detangles my hair wonderfully. I tend to alternate this with another leave in condtioner because it does have a little bit of protein in it and it is more of a treatment. It leaves my hair feeling soft and strong and leaves a little volume too I have also noticed that when I use this often my hair seems to grow a little faster because in my experience it helps prevent breakage. Even though the bottle doesnt look that big it has lasted me awhile and it is worth the few extra dollars.

Scrubs -Aveeno - Skin Brightening Daily Scrub
OhsnappitsEm 4/6/2012 11:28:00 AM
Nice gentle scrub! I use this once or twice a week depending on how my skin feels and it gets the job done without scratching and irritating my sensitive skin. The beads are just the right size and it foams up just a tiny bit and most importantly it doesnt dry my skin out like many other scrubs tend to do. It smells very fresh and its a nice treat for my skin at the end of the day!

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - jessica simpson FANCY LOVE 2009
OhsnappitsEm 2/21/2012 11:30:00 AM
This is my everyday scent. I read some greats reviews on this particular scent and once I found it on sale at Kmart I fell in love. On me this smells like a very nice clean warm scent and just a few squirts last me the entire day. This is described as a floral oriental and is enougth for the day without being ovepowering. I loved my little bottle so much I recieved the full sized bottle for my birthday and couldnt be happier with this scent!

Eye Shadow -Cover Girl - Eye Enhancers - Mink
OhsnappitsEm 2/3/2012 2:45:00 PM
This is such a gorgeous everday eyeshdaow thats perfect for work or school. For the longest time this shadow was always sold out when ever I tired looking for it. I finally found this shadow at Kmart last week and I have been wearing this nonstop as a lid color just for a nice shimmery neutral eye. Ive heard this is a dupe for MAC's all that glitters but I have never tried that shadow so I cant compare the two. This is a very nice shimmery bronzey color with maybe a tiny hint of pink. I just use the sponge applicator included and it applys nicely. This makes my blue eyes pop and I can imagine this working for almost everyone. This shadow isnt the softest one I've used but the pigmentation is great for a $3 eyeshadow and it stays on all day even when I dont apply concealer underneath. I'll have to try more of these!

Lotions/ Creams -Aveeno - Skin Relief Moisturizing Lotion
OhsnappitsEm 1/22/2012 12:42:00 AM
This lotion has done a great job of getting me through the cold winter here in the East. While this lotion is intended for very dry and itchy skin I dont really have dry skin at all. During the fall I started getting very itchy skin and it only got worse in the winter. I was torn between getting the regular Aveeno lotion that also has great reivews and this one, I eventually ended up getting this one and I couldnt be happier.I put this on after I shower and also in the morning while getting ready. I really apperciate that this is fragarance free since it doesnt compete with my perfume. My skin feels alot better and soothed after I use this it sinks in fairly quicky and doesnt leave any flimy feeling. I also get really dry hands during the winter time that tend to crack and peel and this really helps keep them hydrated. This is a daily staple that I can't reconmend enougth.

Polishes -China Glaze - Swing Baby
OhsnappitsEm 1/22/2012 12:18:00 AM
I absolutely love this nail polish during the colder seasons! Swing baby is a very pretty shimmery champagne/taupe color that is right on trend for the winter and fall. The color changes depending on the lighting and it also has little specks of glitter that are not chunky in the least bit. The formula of this one is a little thinner compared to my other China glaze polishes but it went on very smooth and even and only two coats were needed for it to become opaque. I wore the China Glaze base coat under this and it lasted for about five days with the slightest bit of tip wear before I wanted to change my nails up. If you could only have one color for the fall and winter I would totally suggest this one! I can't wait to wear it again!

Shampoo -Nature's Gate - Herbal Hair Shampoo
OhsnappitsEm 1/21/2012 11:56:00 PM
I really wanted to love this shampoo but for some odd reason it just doesnt work with my hair. My hair is pretty normal it is about bra strap length and tends to be a bit dry at the ends, it is not color treated and I do not heat style it. I saw the bottle at my supermarket and remembered seeing great reviews on this one so I picked it up. This is a really great deal for the amount you get, Organic shampoos arent the cheapest sometimes but I managed to get the huge 18 oz bottle for only six bucks. The one that I have says new and improved and is sulfate free. Like others have mentiond the smell is very strong and woodsy it also tends to linger in my hair for awhile so if you dont like strong scents I would avoid this. This foams up surprisngly well for a sulfate free shampoo and while my hair was drying it felt more moisturized. However in less than 24 hours my hair would get greasy at the roots and it looked like it needed to be washed again. This was very weird since I can go every other day without washing my hair. I tried using a clarifying shampoo and then started to use this again and I still had the same problem. I can see this works for many others so maybe it just doesnt work for my hair. The chamomile and lemon verbena one works better for me.

Shampoo -Suave - Professionals Dry Shampoo Spray
OhsnappitsEm 1/20/2012 10:44:00 PM
At $3 a can this is a total steal! I wash my hair every other day and would usually use regular baby powder for 2nd day hair when it got a little greasy. I was in the market one day and came across this dry shampoo it was pretty cheap so I threw it in my cart and hoped for the best. I have never used an actual dry shampoo before so I have nothing to compare this to but after using this a few times I dont think ill be trying any more out. This works great at absorbing oil and giving my roots some volume. To my surprise this doesnt leave a white or gray cast in my dark hair at all. This has a grapefruit smell and while others may find this offensive I think its ok allthough I wish it wouldnt linger and compete with my perfume. Over all this does what a dry shampoo is intended to do and I will repurchase.

Scrubs -St. Ives - Green Tea Scrub
OhsnappitsEm 12/24/2011 1:02:00 PM
This is my favorite scrub as of right now! I use to have the apricot scrub but it was too harsh for my sensitive skin and would just tear my face up. This one however is ideal for pretty much any skin type, its gentle enougth for my sensitive skin but it skin manages to deep clean my pores and leave my skin feeling baby soft. It has that thick consistency of tooth paste and the scrubing particles are densely packed while being small and gentle enougth. It smells so fresh and clean and is a pick me up.I use this once a week and it is a little drying for me right now during fall/winter seasons but its nothing moisturizer can't fix. I believe I paid $5 for the 4.5 ounce tube and I still have alot left since ive gotten it in August. This has become a staple in my skin care routine!

Deodorants -Dove - Ultimate Clear Sensitive Skin Deodorant
OhsnappitsEm 12/21/2011 6:54:00 PM
This is great for everyday. Shaving and regular scented deodorants did a number on my under arms and I started getting razor burns and constant irritation. After switching to this the irritation went down and my under arms began feeling soft and silky again. I apply this every morning and it keeps me dry and stink free the whole day. I dont get any annoying white marks on my clothes and it doesnt flake. Two thumbs up!
