I am actually thoroughly impressed with this. I wear toenail polish always, but I never wear fingernail polish. I'm a guitarist and an artist, so my hands are always busy working with something, so nail polish is always brutally chipped within a day. I picked this up because it was only $3, and the color was so unique...I tried it out on my fingernails, two coats to get it opaque, and I am amazed. I applied it on Saturday, and now it's Monday night(well...Tuesday morning, technically :)) and it is in perfect, and I mean perfect, condition. And that's with no base or topcoat. Seriously. Good gracious...that's a miracle, for me :p I'd definitely buy this again.
I actually like this a lot, I was picking up some face wash at the store and saw this, thought the color was super pretty and bought it impulsively. It takes 2 coats for the color to show up properly, which seems pretty typical so that's not bad, and it dried quickly. I was a little weirded out by the brush at first, it's almost like a tiny paddle brush that you'd use for foundation. I really, really like it, especially for my toenails. The consistency of the polish was a little weird, kinda thick but runny at the same time, as someone else said, so it got kinda messy, but nothing that can't be fixed so I'll only detract 1 lippy from that. The gorgeous color makes up for it. Personally, I like it and will probably use it pretty often.
Liquid -Neutrogena - Skin Clearing Oil-Free Makeup

I really like this product. I use this to even out my skin tone BEFORE I use concealer. My skin recently started breaking out, and it seemed that the foundation & concealer I was using was making it even worse. I tried this, and it's really helping a lot. However, I can't use it every day, all over my face. I'll use this on current blemishes before concealer or if I feel like I'm about to break out, but it's really drying for me considering I use an acne face wash and moisturizer, plus, my skin is dry, especially in this dry winter weather. This is great, I would use it every day if it didn't dry me out so bad :(
I love this lipstick! I got it around Christmas, and I wore it to play guitar on my Christmas Eve church service. It lasted decently all through the service, AND through the party afterward where I ate a few things, so the staying power is good. It's a gorgeous pink color, and it's bright, especially on my pale skin, but not scary-bright. It's a beautiful lipstick, I'll definitely buy it again :)
Lipstick -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Lipstick in British Red

I picked this up because I was looking for a good bright-red lipstick for retro, pin-up and other eyecatching looks. The price was great, so I figured I had nothing to lose. First applying it the texture was really nice, and the lipstick was very pigmented. It glided right on, and the color on my lips was exactly the way it looked in the tube. It feels very good on my lips, very moisturizing. The scent is interesting, but not unpleasant, it reminds me of baby shampoo/baby powder, so it's a clean fragrance. This is a fire engine red, so if you want something subtle, this isn't for you, but this is an awesome shade. So far I've had no problems with it. :)
I got this after I heard some good things about it. Well first, the packaging is a pain because it doesn't have a pump. So I wasn't happy about that, but of course that's easily remedied, you can just buy a pump for a few bucks. I got the lightest shade, because I'm very pale, and it matched my skin quite well. It does dry very quickly, so you have to rush to blend it in. It has a pretty good amount of coverage, buildable, but I don't like wearing anything too heavy on my face. After a few days of using this, I had a really bad breakout. I read the reviews and saw that someone broke out using this, so I'm scared to use it again...but this is a good foundation, I miss using it. Edit: I use this every once in awhile if I need more coverage. It seems that every time I use this, I have a breakout shortly afterward. This is a good foundation, but people with sensitive skin beware. :(
I absolutely love this cleanser. I have large pores on my cheeks, and occasionally struggle with minor breakouts. I was using all of the pore minimizing and acne products I could get a hold of...being the obsessive, driven person I am I did overdo it, and my face made it's opinion clear to me by revolting and breaking out. (too many products/chemicals used) My brother uses this, and he told me that it was very gentle, so I started using it. I couldn't believe it, because not only did the breakout clear up but the pores on my cheeks actually got very noticeably smaller. It's kind of ironic, this is the thing that works and it doesn't even advertise that, and all of the pore minimizing products didn't work, haha. Anyways, all and all I couldn't ask for a better cleanser. I do try to exfoliate at the very least every 2 weeks, which removes all the stuff that this cleanser doesn't get off. No complaints here :)
Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF15
ObliviousK 8/19/2009 11:49:00 AM
I started using Cetaphil when my face started breaking out a few weeks ago, because I was trying to take it easy with the chemicals on my face, and my brother recommended it. So I've been using the Cetaphil wash, and this moisturizer. I actually like this a lot, it moisturizes very well, and I had no complaints for the first 2 weeks or so...but lately, I've been noticing that my face burns when I apply it after washing my face in the shower. I was glad to see that I'm not the only one who has this problem. I deduct a lippy for the burning. In my opinion, the pump dispenses a bit too much; that's when it looks greasy, so I do about half of a pump and that's adequate for me. So that's another deduction. The first time I ran out(I was using my brother's half empty bottle), I bought another one because I really did like it(this is before the burning)...but I wouldn't buy it again, just because I want to see if something works better without the burning. Who knows, I may come back to this product.
Eye Shadow -MAC - Mineralize Eyeshadow in Family Silver
ObliviousK 8/1/2009 11:00:00 PM
I love all the Mineralize eyeshadows, because for my every day makeup, I don't want to look like I'm wearing much makeup. With the Mineralize eyeshadows, they're versatile- I can apply them dry for a sheer, but fun look, and wet for a more dramatic look. This is my favorite. I use it every day. The texture is great, and it's nice and sheer, though buildable. The only downside to Mineralize eyeshadows in general, is that they are all different. So it's really based on luck as to whether you'll get what you want or not, especially if you're ordering online.
Not a big fan of this. I'm pretty fair skinned, very white, and the shades are impossible to tell...I bought the wrong one the first time, and gave it to a friend. I finally got the right shade(well.."right" shade, close as I could get)...and I'm not too happy with it. It looks kind of cakey no matter how I apply it, I have to really blend it out for it to look natural, and then I don't get a lot of coverage, and I do use it with a brush...This is alright, but I won't buy it again...
This is the first paint pot I ever bought. I was captivated by the color, and I've seen a lot of looks used with this paint pot. I really like it as a base, and I'll wear it as an eyeshadow, but the application is kind of strange. It doesn't apply very evenly, but it's not incredibly noticeable or anything that's not able to be fixed. I don't really see myself running out anytime soon, that's the only reason I'd never purchase this again. I think this is a great base when you're using golden eyeshadows.
Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero
ObliviousK 7/24/2009 11:10:00 PM
This is my favorite eyeliner. Creamy, easy to apply, and it stays on forever. However, I do have normal to dry skin, if you have oily skin this will just melt off of you. However, you can set it with an eyeshadow and it'll stay just fine. This stuff stays on even when I've been sweating, or have been at the beach all day. Perfect for the waterline, just don't blink immediately. :)
I really like this! I just bought it today and am wearing it for the first time. First off, I'll say that I am VERY picky when it comes to lip color. I don't like anything too heavy-feeling because it's annoying, however I really like this. I've been looking for the perfect nude lipstick that will easily erase most of the pigmentation in my lips...this does the job! I used a sheer, light pink gloss over it to add a little color and shine(I didn't want an overly dramatic look) and it is absolutely gorgeous. As long as your lips are exfoliated and moisturized, there shouldn't be any issues- the staying power is normal for a lipstick, nothing miraculous. Overall, I'm very satisfied.
