Mascara -Jordana - Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara
Nurken 4/5/2013 4:57:00 AM
Wow, what a mascara! Dirt cheap, blackest black, nice volume and lenght. It also seperates lashes real good....and on me, it doesn`t smudge. I compare this to Diorshow mascaras, or Lancome Hypnose. Really, it gives massive volume - and loads of drama - if that`s what youīre after. For me, this has replaced higher end-mascaras, like the ones mentioned... The only con must be that I don`t find it holding a curl properly...It`s too heavy for the lashes I guess....But still - my fav at the moment, absolutely HG material. Oh, and I forgot to say I`ve worked as an SA for loads of brands, and tried a whole bunch of mascaras...so believe me, this is super :) I get a lot of comments on my lashes using this one...Go try! :)

Crčme -Graftobian - High-Definition Glamour Color Creme Foundation

Ok, so this has good reviews, and I can agree on lots. Yes, it has a natural finish, yes, it`s easy to find a match, and it`s great with the neutral, warm, cool - palettes. Also, it has loads of ways to use - you can sheer it out (with your moisturizer), or you can apply it heavy, for full coverage. For me, this is not good enough. I think it`s too matte, no dewiness, no fresh feeling. It feels a bit too heavy for my liking, and can`t wait to get it off. It looks natural and good though, but I just can`t stand too matte foundations. Also - it tranfers bigtime! I wore my black jacket today...when I got home, the colar was greyish....Meh...! Youīd need to set this with a powder....which is also a downside for me, can`t stand too much powder, makes me feel too made up...and drylooking / cakey skin. Nope, will not repurchase, but glad to know what the hype`s all about. I stick to more dewy foundations....

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - They're Real
Nurken 3/27/2013 1:35:00 PM
Nah....this is totally overrated IMO. I had superhigh expectations for this, as I am a masaraholic, and have tried most of them. I was sceptical to the wand, but the wand is actually ok. It separates great, and the tiny bristles at the end is good to have. BUT the masacara is too wet - it`s a messy kind of masacara, and if you spill somewhere (like I always do), it`s not easy to get off. Also the lashes clinged togehter after 2 coats, which I hate! I love the long, feathery, vomuized lashes...this gave me lenght, that`s about it. Not happy with it and will be giving it away (and swapping another....bought a duo, smart me...). I actually think the $5 mascara Jordana Best Lash masacara works wonders compared to this.... The hunt continues....

Wow! Just received a sample of this wonderful fragrance - which I totally love! It`s kind of a fruity - floral fragrance, and it lasts real long on me. At first it`s mostly fruity, and real fresh without the citrus scent that many frangrances have - and then it dries to a fruity-floral mix..Not the powdery -musky scent, just a wonderful, light fragrance. . It`s totally feminin and classy. Will buy the whole bottle!! :)

Liquid -Unlisted Brand - FACE atelier Ultra Foundation
Nurken 10/23/2011 1:29:00 PM
This is a total HGproduct for me! Iīm a foundationjunkie, have tried hundreds, have worked within makeup and always looking for a better one...But after I was introduced to this one, by a lovely MUA`er, thereīs always this one I compare all the others with. First - itīs a must to use the right moisturizer under this one. Use one with loads of oil, and the foundation wears off too soon...Oilfree foundation needs oilfree moisturizer and vice verca.. Second - you do not need a primer! Thereīs a built-in primer which makes this foundation so great. It goes on so smooth, itīs easy to blend - and youīll get the best result if you warm it up a bit on your hand before applying. I love applying this with a skunk-brush - but sometimes also fingers. I donīt like the sponge, it seems to suck up too much of the product. What a waste. Itīs kind of expensive ;) I love the finish, itīs between dewy and satin and you donīt really have to set this with powder. But if you do, just set it with a tiny bit - this foundation is supposed to look "fresh" and not "powdered" or mat. It does not settle into pores, it does not accentuate fine lines or wrinckles, it is just smooth, flawless and a great, great foundation. Itīs even waterproof and I find it to last like 8 hours - but then it needs a touch-up. Blotpowder might be a good thing for those oily ones out there. Actually I do think this is a better foundation for the normal, combo or dry-skinned woman, as it might tend to shine a little after a while. Iīll buy again :) Oh, and Iīm nc20 (mac) and Iīm using Ivory in winter, but in summer wheat would be perfect. But then again - thereīs a genius thing with the zero minus and plus.... Go get a sample of this one, itīs totally amazing :) I even use it under my eyes(which I donīt with any other foundation) and it wont settle into lines, and does not look cakey. SUPER! :))

Concealers -Garnier - Anti-Dark-Circle Eye Roller
Nurken 5/28/2011 4:50:00 PM
Thank you all MUAīers for all the good recommendations on this product! I just bought this the other day, and I totally love it. Iīve been using the YSL touch eclat, the Dior skinflash and the Lancome effacernes - all of them good, but missing something. The Effacernes is too drying as well..I find this concealer to be moisturizing, concealing real well and it has a smoothing and lifting effect. I love it - will repurchase when itīs finished. And the best thing, which I find really hard to find in a concealer, is that it does not settle into fine lines, and is not drying. I feel younger when Iīm wearing this. Go try, ladies! This is dirt-cheap compared to high-end concealers - and is just as good (imo) Edit: Still loving it and using it all the time, but cuts off one lippie, due to the coverage...I donīt really thinks itīs supposed to cover real well, itīs more like highlighting and light to medium coverage, but still...I hoped for a tiny bit more coverage...Still, a real good product :)

Liquid -Estee Lauder - Futurist Foundation
Nurken 3/11/2011 9:55:00 AM
This is the first EL foundation Iīve ever tried, and I must say Iīm really pleased so far! I went to the store, told the SA that I needed a foundation that made my skin look natural, not made up, pore and line-smoothing and hopefully hydrating...Could she help me?Yep, Iīm demanding...but she made me a sample of this one (lightest color, and Iīm Mac NC15-20 for ref - suited me perfect). When I first put it on, it felt as if it melted on my skin. Supereasy to blend and my skin was really glowing. The colortone was actually a bit orangy, and it made me scared, but nope, the orange color disappeared on skin. BUT I did notice that it was important to shake the little sample-bottle well, so the color wouldnīt separate. So I guess you need to rememeber to shake the bottle well! My husband even told me my skin looked really beautiful with this on. Really natural, medium coverage and really hydrating. No flakes,no dry parts, no big pores or lines. I loved it! Untill now, Chanel Vitalumiere(clair/cameo) and Diorskin Nude(021) have been my favs. I find Diorskin a bit drying and a little "made up" (even though itīs called nude), and Vitalumiere a bit oily...but this, especially compared to Vitalumiere, made me just WOW! I`m still not sure if I buy, just because the stayingpower on me, was a bit bad...5-6 hours, and itīs more or less off my chin...but...still, I love it...just need touch ups during the day then... Go try it out! (And please, send me a mail if you have any foundation-suggestions for my picky skin!!)

Liquid -Boots - Lifting & Firming Foundation SPF 15 [DISCONTINUED]
Nurken 3/11/2011 9:43:00 AM
When will I learn - that when it comes to foundations, my skin can no longer go for the cheap ones - or drugstore, I guess. I was so extremely happy to get this in the mail. I purchased it in "blonde" some weeks ago, but I instantly swa it was the wrong color, and swapped it away. Now - I`ve got New Ivory, which is perfect in color (Iīm Mac NC 15-20, for ref.). BUT, this foundation popped into all my pores (which are really small) and made them seem bigger. I also think my lines are showing more, my skin looks drier and absolutely not glowing. It covers well, glides on well, and yes, I do like the bottle - but I would not purchase again. This made me look really made up, and I hate that. The more natural, the better. Iīm really, really picky about that and I donīt seem to find many foundations that does the work. So far, the closest must be Futurist by EL, but if you have any suggestions for me, please, please mail me!! :) No, I donīt understand the hype. It must have been a makeup-youtuber or a blogger who recommended this ;) hehe - and wow, people run to the stores...Yeah..as said, when will I learn. No more drugstore from now on... 2 lippies for right color, ok to smooth on and blend and cheap.. This is on for a swap.

Fragrances -Fresh - Fig Apricot
Nurken 11/8/2010 9:40:00 AM
Absolutely hate this scent! I recently got it in a swap, and I was so eager, because I usually love fruity scents - but this? Really not much fruity to it. I just cannot describe the smell, but at first itīs kind of fresh, but after 1 hour it smells horrible, just horrible. It made me nearly throw up...yuk...donīt know what I reacted to, but nevertheless, hated it!

Blush -Everyday Minerals - Salon Fun
Nurken 11/6/2010 9:31:00 AM
Next to the Cargo Tonga, this is also my HG :) I use the Tonga for allround natural looks, like at work or so - but this for going out and when I need to look even fresher. Itīs a great cold color, a bit mauve-ish berry-pink-plum-color ;) Itīs not suitable for those with a warm compelxion-tone, I guess - but for us with light, medium, fair skin with cold tones, this is just super when you want to feel really fresh and "awake". I think I look a bit younger wearing this actually...it reminds me of my school-days ;) Itīs super, and I use the Mac 187 to put it on. :)

Blush -Cargo - Tonga
Nurken 11/6/2010 9:26:00 AM
Love this blush! All the rave about it, and the good reviews in here, made me purchase it without being able to test it out...Cargo is non-existant here in Norway, and therefore I had to buy online...It was a gamble, but hey, the best gamble ever. Itīs an awsome blush, and it does what I hoped the Nars Orgasm would do to my looks. It gives a nice glow, and I find the color to be a cold pink-ish with elements of cold brown/peachy-ish. Hard to describe, but it really makes you glow. I think this blush is hard to over-do, and itīs totally buildable. You could go for a sheer look, or a more made-up look if you like. I know that this will become my everyday-blush, when I want to look just natural, like at work. I get lots of compliments on how healthy and fresh I look with this on...Nice! Itīs satiny, and I also love the tin can, which is huge, btw. Oh, I do not think this blush is suitable for those with really warm complexions, as itīs on the colder side of the scale...in my opinion, that is ;) Go buy!

Fragrances -Dolce & Gabbana - Fragrance Anthology L'Imperatrice
Nurken 11/6/2010 9:07:00 AM
Iīm in love with this fragrance! Iīve been looking for the ultimate fruity-floral, and this is it! At first spray, I thought it tended to smell a bit too much alcohol, but in a few seconds there was a peachy tone to it...and a tiny bit, not much, lemon-ish, and a bit rhubarb. Quite crisp and fresh! After just 5-10 minutes, the smell is even better - as the smell "grows" on skin, and blends with own skin-smell, but this will off course differ from person to person. To me, It smells like juicy-fruity-candy-smoothie-floral-shampoo-ish. I just love it. The dry-down is sweet grapefruit, perhaps some sweet melon, a bit musk and peach. Stayingpower is so-so actually, and thatīs the only negative thing about it. I donīt really love the bottle either, but itīs all right. The name which means "the emperess" is a good match to the smell - you feel like a classy woman wearing this. My husband just loves this smell on me...Yummi, thatīs my all in all verdict...Yummi! :) Oh, and this fragrance has nothing to do with the Light Blue. I totally disagree with another reviewer here who meant that...not at all, this is in another class.

Treatments (Eye) -Mavala - Double-Lash
Nurken 11/2/2010 7:02:00 AM
Iīm really surprised by this product. I had no expectations really..but I used this every night for about 4 weeks - and THEN I started seeing results! And now, after 7 weeks, the results are really good. My lashes used to be quite thin, and medium long - they were also really, really sparse with areas that looked like Iīd lost a bunch of lashes. Now, my lashes are a whole lot thicker, they are a tiny bit longer (approx. 1-1,5 mm), but the best part is that the sparse areas without lashes is gone. I have a full and nice lashline now. Iīve not noticed any darkening of lashes, nor have they been curled - and I donīt think this product gives super-super long lashes - you have to try something else for that , BUT it gives you fuller and healthy looking lashes. Iīll re-purchase, absolutely. Love this, I really donīt need volumizing mascaras anymore...This is super :) Ps. Donīt like the applivator, it should have been a soft tip to use along the lashline...I use the brush on lashes, and an eyeliner-brush along lashline as well.. Good luck ladies, and yes, try this. It works :)

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Nude Hydrating Makeup SPF 10 [DISCONTINUED]
Nurken 10/12/2010 7:51:00 AM
This is quite close to become my new HG. I must compare it with Chanel Vitalumiere, because that has, so far, been my HG. I find this foundation to be medium coverage, and buildable. The CV (Chanel Vitalumiere) is more of a sheer to medium, and not really easy to build. This one is also not so dewy, itīs more of a semi-matte, and you donīt need powder on top of it. It blends well, but you have to be quite fast, because it dries pretty fast. I use a stippling brush with this fdt, but fingers work really well too. The brush makes my skin look more flawless though and airbrushed. Really nice result and I think my skin looks younger with this on, without looking made up! Itīs really natural. Iīve got the 021 linen, and I`m fair with yellow undertones. I now use the CV on days I feel like less makeup and a very natural style, and this is the one I grab for when I want a little more coverage. I love this, you should try it too. And yes, there are loads of colors in this fdt, so you should be able to find something that works :) Edit: What was I thinking over here..? Tried this again some days ago. Received it in a swap. Now, I must add that Iīve been on an intense HG-search in foundation lately, and tried a lot. A LOT! Which leads to that this foundation is no longer HG-status at all. Now I find this fdt to make my skin look slightly older, drier (even though it says "hydrating") and it settles into some pores and lines. Took away 2 lippies and no, I would not buy this again. Compared to other foundations Iīve tried recently, this is really not what I want on my skin...Itīs up for a swap btw... ;)

Makeup Brushes -MAC - #187 Duo Fiber Face Brush (Stippling, Skunk Brush)
Nurken 10/12/2010 7:42:00 AM
I guess Iīm in minor about this brush, `cause I just donīt understand the rave. I got this due to all the positive reviews, and used a couple of times for my liquid-fdt. Absolutely not good enough! The brush is too soft and has no resistanse what so ever pressing againt skin. I had the E.L.F powderbrush that I used as a stipplingbrush before, and Iīm going back to that one, itīs way better. Really, this is too expensive and too soft. Compared to e.l.fsībrush, the 187 is 2 runner up. I do love this brush for loose-powder blushes, though, or blushes that are really pigmented. This brush takes up just a small enough amount of product, and you just get that light touch of blush - and can repeat and repeat. Therefore 3 lippies, as a blush-brush. Would not repurchase.
