Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Extended Moisture Hand Cream
NotUnusual 4/30/2012 9:25:00 PM
Holy Grail Hand Creme. I have found you. After about two days of using this at night, the dry, painful cracks I had in on my fingertips are completely gone, as is the weird dry patch on my left elbow that I've had for at least 5 years. I thought I had found the best foot cream with Barielle but this blows Barielle out of the water. For me, nothing else as worked this well, this fast. I am in love. When I got my tube, I also saw it in a tub (like the typical Nivea tub) and I'm going to start buying it both ways and stashing it all over my house and in the cars.
Lipstick -Laura Mercier - Healthy Lips Sheer lipstick
NotUnusual 3/20/2012 9:44:00 PM
I was disappointed because it looks so pretty in the tube, but it also turned an insane NEON fuschia color on me (NC20). It was an impulse buy - I should've checked MUA first!
Well, I really liked this cleanser. I was most impressed that I only had to use a tiny amount, but the results were very effective. My skin is rather sensitive, and I didn't have any odd reactions. Just soft, clean skin. It is pricey, but I use so little that the bottle has lasted for months.
Treatments -Unlisted Brand - BORBA Mangosteen Skin Balance Water

I got this as a free sample. I read the reviews and thought that it sounded bad. But I decided to give it a try rather than throwing it directly into the garbage. It is vile. It tastes like some sort of weird banana-berry sugar free punch. (Kinda like Crystal Light.) Thank goodness I didn't have to pay for it!
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Murray & Lanman's Florida Water Cologne
NotUnusual 2/13/2007 4:28:00 AM
I am really sensitive to perfumes - anything that smells artificial or chemically gives me horrible headaches. Angel and Poison are what I call "a migraine in a bottle." I LOVE Florida Water. It just smells clean and fresh. There is a slight spiciness to it, which I love. I wear it all year - it smells warm in the winter, and fresh in the summer. It's so inexpensive, just try it. If you don't like it, you'll only be out about $3. I wear this much more than all my expensive Guerlain and YSL.

I gave this a 5 on price because although it really wasn't that expensive, it was SO not worth the money. I checked the samples I was given against the list of products "Guaranteed to be in every box" -- I was missing several. There's also a list of extras that *might* be in the box -- you're supposed to get at least one of them. I got exactly NONE. (This was a brand-new, sealed copy from Amazon.) And I'm really not impressed with the samples I did get. I could have called for the free DHC catalog, gotten the same stuff, and saved myself $14.00. I haven't even looked at the book yet.
Polishes -Rimmel - French Manicure with Lycra and Minerals in #442 French Rose
NotUnusual 10/10/2006 1:56:00 AM
I love this color. I think it's more pinky than CICC (which seems more peachy to me). To me, it seems more like Essie Mademoiselle. Great, smooth application. Nice, natural color. I'm sort of obsessed with MNBB, and this definitely fits that description.
Polishes -Rimmel - French Manicure Cafe Au Lait 464
NotUnusual 6/24/2006 4:29:00 AM
Excellent MNBB for those of us who find Essie Mademoiselle just a bit too pink. I was devoted to Revlon Sheer Nude, but since that seems to be discontinued -- this is an excellent substitue. Plus it wears well - must be the lycra in it.
Lip Treatments -L'Occitane - 10% shea butter anti-drying lip balm
NotUnusual 5/24/2006 4:58:00 AM
Wow, this stuff is awful. It doesn't moisturize the lips at all - it has the exact opposite effect! I get much better results for much less money when I use Rosebud, Vaseline, or my Autumn Harp Un-petroleum. The L'occitane is totally overpriced - I'm trying to use it up on my cuticles, but we'll see if they get dried out, too.
Polishes -Rimmel - Lasting Finish Nail Polish in Beige 366
NotUnusual 5/14/2006 3:01:00 AM
I picked this up because Real Simple Magazine listed it as the best beige nailpolish. According to them it works on almost everyone. I like it, but I have warm toned skin. I'm not so sure this would work on other skin tones. So to sum up, pretty but ultimately, it's nothing that special.
Lip Treatments -Blistex - Complete Moisture Lip Balm
NotUnusual 4/26/2006 3:53:00 AM
I really wanted to like this. I love the citrus smell, I liked the cool feelign while I put it on. HOWEVER...this has got to be one of the worst lip balms ever in terms of actually moisturizing. I'll stick with Rosebud and Vaseline next time.
Ok, you guys sold me on it! I have very oily skin but I use this sparingly and it works well as a concealer. I'm another NC20 that can back up the recommendation of using #121 "Nude Ivory."
I love this color so much that I keep it at my desk, in my gym bag, in my purse, in my other purse, in my overnight bag, etc., etc. Very wearable - sort of a rosy bronze. Very flattering to this NC20.
Lotions/ Creams -Crabtree & Evelyn - Gardeners Hand Therapy

Excellent stuff! Very healing and it doesn't wash off.
Cleansers -Olay - Age Defying Daily Renewal Cleanser
NotUnusual 4/1/2006 4:23:00 AM
I have very oily skin, but if I don't vary my routine in the winter I can get a bit dry. This is the perfect winter cleanser for me. (It's a bit too creamy for the summer.) I love the beta hydroxys in there - very effective on my skin.
