Blush -Milani - Baked Blush in Dolce Pink
rated 4 of 5
NishaDS 5/20/2012 4:25:00 PM

Dolce Pink is candy pink blush which gives a lovely, healthy flush to my NC35 cheeks. I use this with a light hand and the shimmer gives a subtle glow to the skin which makes me look alive and refreshed. The pop of colour really wakes up my skin on days when I look tired and worn out. I usually do not go for bright pink blushes and I am glad I made the exception and picked this one up. It is a great addition to my small collection of blushes. I am very impressed with this range of Milani blushes.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - EXTRA VIRGIN Coconut Oil (All brands)
rated 5 of 5
NishaDS 5/20/2012 2:27:00 PM

Coconut Oil is a true godsend. I have been using this stuff since I was born. My Mum used to rub it into my hair and I have been using it regularly for most of my life. It is the reason I have healthy hair and nails. Coconut oil tends to solidify so I usually put it in a bowl to float in a larger bowl of warm water. This warms up the oil gently and is perfect for rubbing in. I rub the oil into my hair and scalp and wrap it up in a towel for 30 mins or even overnight. This treatment makes my scalp healthy and my hair strong and glossy. It is incredible. I also rub this into my nails and it keep my cuticles soft and nails strong. Coconut oil is also great for dry skin patches on elbows and knees. This is really cheap in South Asian grocery stores which is where I always buy it. Coconut oil is one of nature's gifts to us. Definitely give it a try!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Vex
rated 5 of 5
NishaDS 5/19/2012 11:54:00 PM

MAC Vex is a complex eyeshadow which reminds me of an abalone shell. It is a grey base with pink and green duochrome shifts. Such a unique shade! It looks great on the lid and changes when used in combination with other colours. It applies smoothly and is highly pigmented. Blends well and brings a beautiful brightness to the eyes. Love this one and I highly recommend it!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Club Eye Shadow
rated 5 of 5
NishaDS 5/19/2012 11:44:00 PM

MAC Club is a beautifully complex brown eyeshadow with blue-green duochrome shift. It seems to change depending on the colours it is paired with and is very versatile. It also looks great by itself. The blue-green shines when used over a dark base. It applies like a dream and blends easily. I love how complex and mysterious Club is. IMO it deserves a spot in every eyeshadow lovers collection!

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter
rated 4 of 5
NishaDS 5/19/2012 11:19:00 PM

I own Berry Smoothie, Peach Parfait and Lollipop. They go on super smooth and make my lips feel moisturized and enriched. They are wonderfully pigmented and look great. Berry Smoothie and Peach Parfait are nice for everyday wear. Lollipop is a bright fuchsia, a little too bright for me so I usually just use it as a light stain. I do wish they lasted a bit longer on the lips but that is a small complaint. These are definitely worth buying for their smooth texture and high pigment. There is always one in my purse!

Blush -Milani - Baked Blush - Rose D'Oro
rated 5 of 5
NishaDS 5/19/2012 11:00:00 PM

Milani Baked Blush in Rose D'Oro is a beautiful rose with coral leanings and gold veining. It gives my NC35 skin a beautiful, healthy flush. I don't even need to use a highlight with this blush because of the subtle sheen it gives my cheeks. It has great colour pay-off and is best used with a light hand. The packaging is a little bit clunky and loud for my liking but I can live with it. I don't use the included brush but it is nice they included one. This was a great addition to my small blush collection! Love it!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Woodwinked - veluxe pearl
rated 5 of 5
NishaDS 5/19/2012 10:21:00 PM

MAC Woodwinked is an oh-so-smooth coppery gold eyeshadow. It looks absolutely gorgeous on my NC35 eyelids all by itself. It brightens up any eyelook when used in the middle of the lid and when combined with darker browns in the crease, it looks super dramatic and gorgeous. It really brings out the sparkle in my brown eyes. I love Woodwinked! It's a staple in my collection and a must-have IMO!

MAC Patina is a beautiful and complex antique gold. It seems to have both cool and warm tones within it which makes it very versatile. It looks great by itself or with darker taupes or golden browns in the crease. This applies smoothly and blends well. It looks very refined on my NC35 eyelids. A definite staple in my collection. Love it!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Tempting (LUSTRE)
rated 4 of 5
NishaDS 5/19/2012 10:00:00 PM

MAC Tempting is a beautiful browny bronze. It is a lustre but applies well and looks fab on the lid or crease. Unfortunately, I seem to be allergic to this eyeshadow and have had to take it out of rotation. I took a lippie off because of this.

MAC Cork is the perfect daytime crease colour for my NC35 skin. It is medium brown with matte finish and applies and blends like a dream. It brings a subtle warmth to my eyes and never looks too harsh. It has won a spot on my daily neutral quad. Love it!

Eye Shadow -MAC - Grain
rated 5 of 5
NishaDS 5/19/2012 9:31:00 PM

MAC Grain is a lovely light warm beige with a unique sheen. It brings a subtle light to my NC35 eyelids which looks quietly polished. It is like my eyelids but a touch lighter and better. I usually use Cork for my crease and they make a great pair. Grain has a satin finish and applies well and blends with ease. My perfect everyday neutral lid shade!

Cleansers -Neutrogena - Fresh Foaming Cleanser
rated 5 of 5
NishaDS 5/19/2012 8:46:00 PM

Neutrogena Fresh Foaming Cleanser is HG for me! It cleanses all my makeup on my face every night, even my Revlon Colorstay foundation which tends to be stubborn. It is very gentle on my sensitive skin and doesn't break me out. It foams very little but still gets the job done and doesn't dry out my skin. One squirt on wet hands usually does the trick but two is better for heavier makeup. I usually foam it up in my hands and then massage it all over my face. I sometimes add a little sugar for some gentle scrubbing action. I then rinse clean with splashes of water. I've used this for years and always come back to it when I stray. Highly recommended!

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked 2 Palette
rated 5 of 5
NishaDS 5/4/2012 12:46:00 PM

I love the Naked 2 palette! I can honestly say I use each and every one of these shadows. They are rich and creamy with great colour payoff. They are not overloaded with shimmer or glitter and apply easily with the duo brush. The blending brush side is really good. The packaging is solid and snaps closed. The large mirror is perfect. A great palette for on the go!

Scrubs -Unlisted Brand - Sugar
rated 5 of 5
NishaDS 4/6/2011 3:09:00 PM

Sugar is one of the easiest and cheapest scrubs to use and I have been using it for years. I put a teaspoon of sugar in my palm, squirt some cleanser on it and massage the mixture on my face in circular motions. I rinse off with warm water and a washcloth. It scrubs gently and effectively, leaving my sensitive skin soft and smooth. Try it and you'll love it.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Honey
rated 5 of 5
NishaDS 4/6/2011 2:06:00 PM

I have been using honey as a face mask since I was a teenager. I put it on my face once a week for 10-20 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Honey always leaves my skin feeling refreshed, moisturized and glowing. It also helps to heal and soothe any skin irritations or blemishes I might have. I am always amazed at how effective it is. Liquid gold.
