Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Galderma - Epiduo (aka Tactuo in Canada)

I'm giving this product a 4, for now. It's been 4 weeks, I didn't have any burns, or dry skin issues initially caused by this gel/cream, it actually started to take effect in the first few weeks, however it doesn't do much to prevent more breakouts. It definitely reduces the size of my bumps and pimples but I find myself waking up to new pimples every week which is frustrating, cause as they leave, more acne scars are surfaced onto my face! I think that part of the reason why I am getting breakouts is because I am currently using a harsh exfoliant weekly, that may interfere with the ingredients in Tactuo. My derm did instruct me to take a low dosage of two times a week, nightly, so that's what I've been doing. I really hope this continues to work. And I hope I'll see major improvements by the 8th week, when I revisit my derm. EDIT: Silly me! I just realized that my Olay Gentle Cleanser contains Salicylic Acid in it, which interacts with Benzoyl Peroxide and irritates the skin even more, so that explains WHY I've encountered so many break outs, but even so, Tactuo has been effective in reducing/drying out my pimples/bumps. I'm on my 5th week now, we'll see how well my skin reacts to eliminating Salicylic Acid out of my skin routine. My derm did say that Tactuo gets rid of black spots too, but I've done some research and learned that BP can actually darken if not increase acne scarring/dark spots. I'll continue using it, and update on the 8th week what additional changes I may see :)

Hair -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Therapeutic Lavender Nourishing Shampoo
Nirita 11/8/2012 3:33:00 AM
As a first timer of using organic shampoos, my hair didn't cooperate so well with this product, my hair felt like straw the first time, and it was a bit drier than my previous shampoos left it. I guess it's all apart of the detoxing process. In my opinion my Dove shampoo and Argan Magic shampoo didn't seem to damage my hair at all even with the sulfates in it. I guess I wanted to hop onto the anti sulfate wagon because I would do anything for my hair to reap any benefit it could get at this point. The shampoo isn't bad, it does cleanse the hair, it does have an amazing scent to it, but the lather isn't that great and it does make my hair kinda slippery, leaving the strands more prone to breakage. I feel like it's done a lot for my hair growth, and it has added much shine to my hair. I think I will continue using it.

Conditioner -Avalon Organics Botanicals - lavender conditoner
Nirita 11/8/2012 3:27:00 AM
My hair has never been softer after trying this product. I recently decided to switch to an organic hair regimen, and Avalon Organics Lavender seemed like the better option, seeing as it has Beta Glucan, essential oils and many other ingredients that caught my eye. I'm giving this a 4 because the bottle is just too small for my hair. My hair needs lots of conditioner, its been less than a month and its already finishing. I leave this conditioner on for as long as possible. I love the smell, it leaves a tingling sensation and after just one use my hair was so much stronger. I've gotten hair growth with this too! I do want to continue to buy it, only because I feel like there's no better product for me to try, however my hair hasn't been reacting so well to the silicone in this. I feel like I have to wash my hair constantly.. But so far, the benefits outweigh the few cons.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Biotin (All brands)
Nirita 11/8/2012 3:20:00 AM
I'm so happy I found out about Biotin. My hair has grown so much healthier. It feels thicker, softer, bouncier, more hydrated etc. Due to the fact that my hair regimen is so strict and I have so many factors contributing to my hair growth, I can't say exactly how many inches I've gained with Biotin, however after 3 weeks I noticed thicker eyelashes, slightly thicker eyebrows, and my hair was also an extra inch and a half or so - so I'm guessing it could have been the Biotin. I haven't experienced crucial breakouts with Biotin, I already have bad acne anyways. My water intake is pretty high, and I always try to eat a meal before I take Biotin, as it absorbs into the body better when it feeds off of other nutrients in the body, so I've heard.

Brows -Unlisted Brand - castor oil
Nirita 11/8/2012 3:13:00 AM
Ever since I found out about the Multi Purposes of Castor Oil, I couldn't wait to experiment with it, took me a while to find a trusted brand and organic version of Castor Oil that I'd be pleased with, eventually I settled with a 16oz bottle from GNC - Now Solutions brand for 12 bucks. I did get my hands on the pharmacy version, however the size was way too small and I was not willing to pay almost 5 bucks for a tiny bottle that was refined anyway! I saw about an inch or more of growth after a month of using and massaging this oil into my scalp RELIGIOUSLY. My naturally sparse eyebrows have instilled so much insecurities within me over the years, I've tinted them with pencils and mascaras which in turn only pulled my eyebrow hairs out even more! I almost had no eyebrows, seriously. I saw results within days. But because my eyebrows were so sparse to begin with, I have been consistently using it day and night for about almost 2 months, and I'm happy to say that I'm getting there! For my eyelashes, definitely reaped benefits with this oil! Saw results after days, initially my eyelashes fell out and looked very sparse, however I wasn't concerned because my eyelashes tend to grow pretty decently and they already are pretty long. I stopped using it for a bit then tried it again one night and woke up with thicker, longer eyelashes, eyelashes that were long enough to reach my eyelids. I still use Castor Oil on my lashes occasionally but at times it irritates my sensitive eyes, so I make sure I apply light amounts to my lash line. I will never give up on this oil!

Scrubs -St. Ives - Apricot Scrub Blemish and Blackhead Control
Nirita 11/8/2012 2:58:00 AM
HOLY GRAIL product! Got this for about 4 bucks at my local grocery store, decided to try it back in August and it is the ONLY product that has been able to get RID of my dark spots. I just love it! The smell brings back a lot of nostalgia to me as I used this way back when I was 14 while on vacation, so it doesn't quite bother me. I've recently decided to add it to my regimen again and I'm happy with the results. I used to wash my face with this twice a day and leave it on as a mask, now, due to the fact that I've been prescribed with other acne medications that interact with Salicylic Acid, I've reduced my usage to about 1-3 times a week, depending on how badly my skin needs the exfoliation.

Other -Unlisted Brand - Zinc
Nirita 11/8/2012 2:51:00 AM
My skin has never looked better. Honestly, my pores have shrunken greatly, no other product has been able to achieve this. I've been taking Zinc for about 3 weeks, I got quite discouraged in the beginning but I realized that the other products I was using also contributed to the worsening of my acne. So far, Zinc has given me a really nice glow, more even toned skin, my pimples and bumps are reduced and is slowly fading away dark patches. I plan to stop at 4 weeks due to the fact that excessive Zinc may be detrimental. However, I will probably just take it once a week, or twice a week, depending on how much more improvement my acne needs. So glad its apart of my skin regimen now :)
