Palettes -Too Faced - Summer Eye
rated 4 of 5
Nirat 5/7/2012 7:52:00 PM

I really love this palette. The colors are truly perfect for summer; especially the coral and teal shade. Also, though this isn't the most important thing, the packaging is super cute with the ocean water and seashells on the cover. The smaller shadows are very nice and pigmented and blend very well. Sugar sand is also very nice and reminds me of sin by Urban Decay or kitten by Stila. However, peach fuzz and sunbeam are very sheer and have small flakes of glitter that do fall out. Primer is necessary for these two. Not all the glitter falls off during the application but I would say about half of it ends up under my eye. This is my only complaint, other than that I say get it while it's available!

Blush -Physicians Formula - Happy Booster™ Glow & Mood Boosting Blush in Natural
rated 4 of 5
Nirat 3/5/2012 6:45:00 PM

This blush is lovely! It shows up pretty pink on me and has a bit of a sheen, so sometimes I use it more as a highlighter than strictly a blush. It lasts through the day for me, though I might reapply if I'm going out later. I also really love the scent, it's such a nice detail.

Concealers -Maybelline - Super Stay 24 Hour Concealer
rated 2 of 5

This product isn't for me. I have the shade light and it's a bit too orange toned for my skin, and I think I'm fairly neutral toned. I also find it quite hard to blend; it looks pretty cakey on me. It seems to sit on top of blemishes and eventually slide off to the side defeating the point of the product. I plan to finish the tube, not very happily though.

Styling Products -TRESemme - Waterless Foam Shampoo for Dry/Curly to Normal Hair
rated 1 of 5
Nirat 1/23/2012 10:14:00 AM

I wanted to like this product and followed the directions on the bottle to a T, but all it did was make my hair wet and even more greasy. I've magnanimously tried to give it a few more chances but it's the same every time: greasy, limp, and a guaranteed hat day. Do not bother with this, just use a bit of baby powder or corn starch.

Masks -Queen Helene - Mint Julep Masque
rated 4 of 5
Nirat 1/23/2012 10:05:00 AM

I do like this mask very much, however there are parts of my skin that it burns like crazy. I can use it on most of my nose (not around my nostrils), the inner part of my cheeks around my nose, and forehead. My skin is mostly dry and a bit sensitive but my nose can get oily. The mask does a great job of cleaning out my pores and makes my skin super soft. It is very drying though so moisturizer goes immediately after removal. So I like it as a spot treatment and not so much as an all-over-the-face mask. It's super cheap so I would absolutely recommend trying it out; you'll definitely find some use for it.

Eyeliner -The Body Shop - Eye Definer
rated 1 of 5
Nirat 1/23/2012 9:38:00 AM

I have to agree with many other reviews on this product. It deposits very little color and fades quite quickly. I also find it difficult to apply because it does not glide on smooth so it tugs at my skin and feels kind of harsh. The color I got was white; I figured I could use it as a brightener. I can't stand to throw products away so now I use it as an inner corner highlight when I actually do use it.

Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter
rated 5 of 5
Nirat 12/6/2011 1:41:00 PM

These live up to the hype and more! I am a lip product junkie - of discerning taste I like to think. The colors are gorgeous, the payoff is great, and it feels wonderful on my lips. I don't feel like I'm wearing a lipstick when I'm wearing one of these. If feels like a regular lip balm; not deep intense moisture, but definitely hydrating. I have the colors Creme Brulee, Peach Parfait, Red Velvet, and Tutti Frutti. All of them are consistent in pigment and feel. I'm going to try to restrain myself, but I would absolutely buy more!

Moisturizers -The Body Shop - Carrot Cream
rated 4 of 5
Nirat 11/30/2011 4:58:00 PM

This is a great product for the price. I have combination/dry skin and this works quite well on the majority of my face. I get super dry and flaky around my nose and chin so I spot treat that with something else. It pretty much does what it says: hydrates the skin without being greasy. I think this is viable for most skin types, just not the extreme ones (super oily, super dry). Definitely worth a try!

Concealers -Garnier - Anti-Dark-Circle Eye Roller
rated 5 of 5
Nirat 11/30/2011 4:48:00 PM

I'm a huge fan of this concealer! It feels nice and cool and refreshing when I put it on in the morning; and sometimes I store it in the refrigerator for an extra boost. It's very yellow toned so it neutralizes the blue around my eyes really well. I find it easy to blend out with my ring finger (yay for simple and easy-to-use products). This sometimes creases just a little by the end of the day, but that's easily fixable with powder. Highly recommended!

Moisturizers -Clinique - Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief
rated 3 of 5
Nirat 11/30/2011 4:38:00 PM

This product honestly didn't do much for me. I got a hold of it from a friend who didn't want it; so at least I'm glad I didn't pay for it. I understand that it isn't a moisturizer exactly, but something to use on top of it. I mainly put it around my mouth and chin because that area is super dry and tends to flake. For maybe an hour I don't experience any tightness or dryness but afterwards it's back to the way it was before. Perhaps this is meant for more normal skin types; I wouldn't recommend this to really dry ladies.

Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Nivea Creme
rated 5 of 5
Nirat 2/11/2011 12:21:00 PM

The best heavy duty moisturizer I've ever used. I am a 22 year old university student with very little money, so I can't afford really expensive HE creams. In America, Kansas specifically, it isn't easy to find the German version of this but I have succeeded! I actually have not tried the version sold in America; I probably should so I can compare the two. But I've heard raves about the German creme and a lot of rants about the American one which made me resist buying a pot of it from Walmart or Target. Luckily, I found the German product in a European shop. I have dry, sensitive skin that is prone to acne every now and again, specifically one week out of the month. A lot of the moisturizers I've tried in the past burnt my face and were really unpleasant to use even if they did work. With this there's no burning and my skin feels great and flake free. Yes, it is very thick but that doesn't bother me because of the dryness of my skin. It does take a bit for my face to absorb all of it but, again, that doesn't bother me. I'm so happy with this product! The search for moisturizers is officially over - until I get restless.

Mascara -Lancome - Definicils Mascara
rated 3 of 5
Nirat 1/6/2011 4:22:00 PM

This mascara is okay. I like the pigmentation, very nice dark black. However, I feel like it clumps up and a few hours after application it starts to flake off little by little. It looks nice from a distance though. Overall, I can find a dozen drugstore mascaras that do more for me. I wouldn't bother spending the money on HE mascaras when I can get a great, cheap one at Target.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Million Lashes
rated 4 of 5
Nirat 12/26/2010 6:19:00 PM

I'm a big fan of L'Oreal mascara and this was no different. I get volume, length, and curl all from one coat from this. But it is still very build-able if I want a more dramatic look. I don't think it actually will "millonize" your lashes but I get good separation and minimal clumping. So far I have not noticed much flaking. I only have one complaint which really applies to any mascara with a large brush. It's difficult to apply on the bottom lashes without getting it all over my under eye area. Normally I'll just use a different mascara for that. Overall I think this is a great mascara for the price. It certainly looks phenomenal on my lashes!

Liquid -Maybelline - Pure Makeup [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5
Nirat 4/11/2010 12:42:00 PM

I love this stuff. For me, it has the perfect coverage and stays on as long as I need it to even through dance classes and nights out. It also looks so natural and not at all shiny. And I love the packaging. The squeeze tube makes it so convenient and non-messy. Plus, it's cheap. I would definitely recommend trying it at least once.

Eyeliner -L'Oreal - Bare Naturale Gentle Mineral Eyeliner
rated 4 of 5
Nirat 2/2/2010 2:50:00 PM

This is the first powder eyeliner I've bought and I'm very impressed with it. It is one of the longest lasting eyeliners I've ever tried and once its on it stays in place; which was one of my concerns since it is in powder form. Drugstores have sales on cosmetics pretty often so I think this could be found on sale easily enough; the price doesn't have to be a major issue. My only complaints are the application, since it can be tricky the first couple of times, and there is always some fall out. However, I don't think there is a powder eyeliner on the market that could be found never having any fall out. I put the eyeliner on first, definitely before foundation, so I can get rid of any particles of it on my face. Looks perfect every time :)
