Powders -Smashbox - Halo Hydrating Perfecting Powder

Changing my entire review: I loved it when i tried it in the store. I bought the full size, and it was too dark, I guess my slight tan faded? Also it made my sensitive skin break out and itch terribly. Exaggerated my pores and I had to take it back to Sephora. Then the shimmer exaggerated my breakout. Maybe it's because I used the included brush and not the brush recommended on the back of the package. It might be fine for someone with normal skin, but I couldn't use it for a long period of time. Now to figure out how to get rid of this breakout :(

Lip Gloss -NARS - Orgasm
Niki4507 3/29/2009 1:55:00 AM
I originally bought one for myself and one for my friend as a gagish gift on valentines day since we are both single-the name made for a great joke. I have copper color hair and she's ash blonde and it looks great on both of us. Her skin has warm undertones and mine are neutral, but we are both reasonably fair so it was plenty of color. I also like that it seemed to stay on after I applied lip balm later in the day. It is a little too drying, but I have really dry lips so every lipgloss is drying for me. I usually use Nivea lip balm and lightly swipe this on top. I rarely wear makeup, but really like this gloss-it's not too shiny or sticky. The only issue is the price, but lip glosses last forever, so I probably wont buy another color until I replace this one for health reasons. I recommend trying it on in the store and then walking around the mall/outside to see if you like the color. I've never had an issue taking problematic products back to Sephora, so if you don't have time to try it out, buy it and try it at home.

Styling Products -Frederic Fekkai - Glossing Cream with Olive Oil
Niki4507 3/22/2008 5:34:00 AM
I have 2 travel size tubes and one full size tubes and love this cream. When I used the trial glossing kit (shampoo and conditioner), I noticed that the comb practicall slid through my hair after washing. While I did not care for the other products in the kit (full sizes were too expensive), I found that using this after shampooing and conditioning and a towel dry made the comb slide almost as easily through. I have medium thickness hair with fine strands, so tangles are ALWAYS an issue. I can use it after I blowdry my hair to tame fly aways and a a bit of shine and moisture. Also, my hair flies wild in the lightest wind due to it being so fine, and this is a relatively light cream to keep it down when the wind kicks up. I am impressed with it. Be careful not to use too much. Light touch layers is key, because too much will make your hair look gross and oily.

Gels/Soaps -C.O. Bigelow - Rosemary Mint Superb Body Cleanser
Niki4507 3/22/2008 5:21:00 AM
I use this in the summer because the mint is cooling and when I run out of the lemon body wash. It is odd that this was my origninal favorite C.O. Bigelow product, but I have found something I like better. I like rosemary mint scented products, but I wasn't extremely fond of the smell of this one on me. I suppose it just doesn't mesh well because a lot of people I've met love the way it smells on them. It seemed to dry my already dry skin out, but does help cool you down before bed on a hot summer day, especially when you use the coresponding lotion with it.

Gels/Soaps -C.O. Bigelow - Lemon Cream Body Wash
Niki4507 3/22/2008 5:16:00 AM
I would purchase this again if it were on sale, but I have a difficult time paying full price for anything at bath & body works. Usually they have a lemon C.O. Bigelow sale, and I get it for half price. That being said, I have extremely itchy skin to where I was tearing it up scratching. Sorta gross mental picture, but you get the idea of how bad it was. I tried this after trying the rosemary mint body wash and not being able to find it in a store. You do have to use a bit of it to get a long-lasting lather on the shower pouf, but i tend to over pour anyway so it's not a big deal. I don't use any more of it than I did the previous body washes. I like that this is a soap-free cleanser, which helps with the itching. I don't see it brightening my skin at all, but that wasn't why I bought it. It also smells really good to me....I really like it.

Skincare - Body -C.O. Bigelow - Chapped Hands Cleanser
Niki4507 3/22/2008 5:10:00 AM
We bought this for my grandpa who has ridiculously try, flaky hands that crack all the time. I don't mean minor cracks, but extremely deep cracks that bleed. It was on sale two-for-one, so we figured it was a good deal, and bath and body works is fantastic about taking products back for store credit or cash even if they're opened when they don't work for you. His hands were immediately softer after one use. After a week or so, he was able to use this at night and in the morning with normal handsoaps in between. His hands are still very soft. We used to have creams and lotions everywhere before this product, but now he raraely asks for hand cream. I would buy it again. It takes care of the dry, peeling skin around my nails when I remember to use it. I don't like the fact that it's in a jar, and i would love if they could put it in a tube.
