Primer/ Corrector -Physicians Formula - Color Corrective Primer - green

This stuff does nothing for me. I didn't get a waxy consistency like others have said. Mine goes on like a thin moisturizer, and disappears. It in no way helped with the longevity of my foundation, or the little bit of redness I do have. Somebody actually stole my Monistat Chafing Gel. Either they couldn't find it in a store (It's hard to find here) or they were embarassed to buy their own. I' mgoing to just reorder another one of those online. It's not a redness corrector but it does the job as far as a primer goes.

Lip Treatments -C.O. Bigelow - Lip Renewal Remedy

I like it. It does what it says it's supposed to do. And, from my understanding it is supposed to be used before applying makeup. I don't wear a lot of makeup but I do wear something on my lips every day this is a product I put on before applying whatever it is I am wearing for the day. It's not something I would wear on it's own as a balm, but that's not what it's meant for anyway.

I like this one. This is a clean, fresh scent to me. Though, like all CK fragrances it is on the cloying side. You need to apply with a light hand if you don't like strong scents because this will last all day. Especially on clothes. Even the person who is wearing it will still be able to smell it. Having said that, I'm OK with the strength of one or two sprays.

Primer/ Corrector -Cover Girl - Simply Ageless Serum Primer

I may be allergic to this, or something in it is just not meant for skin. I see from other reviews that I'm not alone. The very first review mentioned red bumps around the eyes, and that is what I'm experiencing. Not acne, but it's itchy, red, splotchy, bumps. And, my skin is not sensitive at all. I have used some of the more harsher products without a problem. The rash stays for days, I wish I had known sooner what was causing it.

Liquid -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Makeup
rated 5 of 5

I like this product. The shade I bought, Buff Beige, matches my skintone better than the three or four other foundations I currently own. And it wears fine on me, as if it's not there. But, I do tend to apply these things lightly. I'm loving the sponge applicator but I still use my fingers to blend it on evenly. I have the pressed powder to set it, and am now curious about the primer since that seemed to have gotten some better reviews. For those of you who are worried about scents, I don't pick up on any strong scents from it.

Styling Products -Garnier - Fructis Style Surf Hair
rated 5 of 5
NewOrleansLady 11/16/2010 11:07:00 AM

Love the way this stuff makes my hair look. My hair is long, past my bra strat, with a lot of layers. It's naturally straight, somewhat thick, so without the layers it would just be too flat. This product really brings out my layers. I rub about a dime/nickle (remember my hair is long/thick) size between my hands and lightly touch it to my (wet hair) ends. Than I just let it air dry. The day I bought this I tested it out on my dry hair and it worked well. My hair had been dried with a dryer and a round brush so it was smooth and my layers were there but not as "choppy" looking. On wet hair it's a little more softer feeling. On dry hair it's still soft, but you have a little bit of waxy texture (I'm horrible with descriptions) to work with. It's also possible to apply it wet, and than re-apply onto your dry hair later in the day for an extra boost, if need be. I can imagine there is such a thing as over-application but as long as you use it sparingly from the beginning (you really don't need that much) it doesn't build up.

Polishes -OPI - Elephantastic Pink

I'm very pale and this is a pink that looks lovely on me, and I'm sure on most skin tones Perfect for spring/summer. Not childish or gawdy at all. I'm 34 and usually do clear or french because I have a very basic style but at the change of the seasons I like to add some color. I'll be getting this color a lot.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - EXTRA VIRGIN Coconut Oil (All brands)
rated 5 of 5
NewOrleansLady 1/31/2010 2:49:00 AM

This isn't for any particular brand, I've tried a few at this point. I do use the inexpensive Louana for my body since it was getting expensive to apply the extra virgin organic(EVO) I still use the EVO for my face and hair. The results I got are undeniable. My long (below bra strap) hair is so much more healthy now. I even notice less split ends. I read that it was the only oil to actually penetrate the hair shaft and I'm beliving it. My hair can be dry on it's own and with the oil it's soft and smooth. I even notice the color is much more shiny. I've gotten compliments from many different people. It's equally amazing on my skin. Mush softer and more even toned. No breakouts or other bad side effects. I've found the Whole Foods brand to be the best value so far (a little over $5 for a jar). It smells wonderful and lingers softly. The Luanna doesn't have much of a scent at all but what it does have isn't offensive. I can tell it's not quite as good as the EVO but it's good enough for me. I first started using it in November so I'm thinking I'll have to adjust the amount I apply once the weather starts to heat up but I'll never be without it. It's my holy grail.

Moisturizers -Philosophy - Hope in a Jar for Dry, Sensitive Skin
rated 1 of 5
NewOrleansLady 12/5/2009 11:09:00 PM

Same experience as the others. I very rarely have blemishes and now have about five small ones and a few other nonvisible bumps that I feel when rubbing my hnad along my cheek. I may try returning it, if I can't I'll use it as an expensive ankle, knee and elbow cream. There's no way it's going near my face again.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Hydroderm Lip Enhancer for Fuller Lips
rated 4 of 5
NewOrleansLady 9/17/2009 2:47:00 AM

I'm wondering if the bad reviews are because of the customer service and not a reflection on how it works because I love the stuff. My lips are considerably fuller. There's hardly a smell or taste at all and what it does have isn't offensive. I'm OK with tingling to the point that I like it, but it doesn't tingle. I got from a family friend so I didn't have to deal with the company. It's expensive, but it works.

Reminds me of a scent called Noa, if any of you remember that one. It's a sophisicated vanilla scent. I can't get enough of it right now. Excellent staying power while managing to be soft

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Crisco

I'm so happy I gave this a try. I never really had problem skin to begin with so I can't say that it cleared anything up but my skin is so much better after using it. Just more clear, clean pores...youthful. I put it on my entire body when I know I'll be staying home. It is a bit greasy for going out, and I do notice a slight smell. Put it on my feet, under socks, and my feet have never been more smooth. I will use this for the rest of my life.

Shampoo -Organix - Coconut Milk Shampoo
rated 1 of 5
NewOrleansLady 1/30/2009 5:17:00 PM

I bought this for the smell, coconut or vanilla are some favorite scents of mine. My hopes for effectivness were crushed on the first use. It left my long hair dry and frizzy as if it were over processed. My hair is long and stright (past the bra strap) but not processed. While it does need some TLC due to the length it's overall in good shape so I know that this was the shampoo/contitioner that caused it to look this way. What a waste. I used the shampoo as a body wash and just rubbed the contitioner on my legs after shaving, and washed it off (couldn't think of any other use for it and hated to waste).

Fragrances -Giorgio Armani - Armani Code for women
rated 5 of 5
NewOrleansLady 1/27/2009 6:56:00 PM

This is my favorite scent right now. I'm a perfume junkie and work in a male dominated profession, when I wear this I get at least two (usually more) men tell me that this is their favorite of my collection. During Christmas one guy told me that he bought it for his wife, another for his mom (he's young and single). I'm not good at describing the notes but I can say that it's unique, though not strange. I just pruchased a knockoff fragrance oil from a site that I frequent because the oils last longer and are considerably less expensive. The site really does dupe these scents almost exactly, one or two I found to be not quite right but still very close and worth owning. The price for this is on the high end IMO but I consider department store fragrances to be on the generic side and not always worth the high price tag that some of them carry. If I were to ever find this in a store like TJ Max or Marshalls, at a cheaper price, I'd stock up.

Fragrances -Coach - Perfume
rated 5 of 5
NewOrleansLady 5/9/2008 6:20:00 PM

This is a favorite of mine. A classic, clean, scent that can be worn day or night, casual or formal. I don't often repurchase perfumes simply because I prefer to move on to a new scent but this one I plan on repurchasing. It's just a good staple to have. It's always the one that I grab when in a hurry and don't have time to think about what I want to wear. And, for those of you who care about packaging, the bottle is cute and sturdy. It's so cute that I consider buying the little keychain that they make and I'm not THAT into Coach, but I do like perfume and it's a cute bottle. I'd rather have the logo all over my perfume bottle than my handbags.
