This is hell. It burnt my skin like crazy (avobenzone strikes again) and is one of the greasiest (feeling and looking) sunscreen I ever tried. Not recommended.

Ingredients:

Aqua, Glyceryl Polymethacrylate, Ascorbyl Methylsilanol Pectinate, Algae Extract, Hexylene Glycol, Fructose, sucrose, urea, dextrin, alanine, glutamic acid, hexyl nicotinate, sodium hyaluronate, hydrolysed glycosaminoglycans, lecithin, superoxide dismutase, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, dexpanthenol, allantoin, imidazolidinyl uream dimethicone copolyol, DMDM hydantoin, iodopropynyl butylcarbamate, tetrasodium edta, glyceryl linoleate, glyceryl linolenate.

It has about the same consistency as Lauder advanced night repair bu costs half less. The only drawback is it is in a clear bottle. But I keep it in the box and I am sure it compensates.

Moisturizers -Paula's Choice - Completely Non-Greasy Moisturizer

Yacky! What a weird thing! Strange texture, weird smell, feels greasy in hand but actually dries down to a kind of mat finsih. This is probably because PC's others moiturisers are much more elegantly formulated with silicones that give this silky feeling. I prefer the balancing gel.

Amazing, this is fast-tracking to staple status. Non greasy, non heavy, mat finish. Full of great antioxidants. I use it on top of the concentrate (HG) to add moisture to drier area. Perfect for fall through spring (I am very oily).

Terrrriiiible!! Full of alcohol!! Stripped my skin something crazy really. And I don't consider my skin sensitive. The alcohol is way too strong. Stay away from it! But then I have a cousin with wonderful skin who swear on that so... it may work for some.

Tinted Moisturizer -Avon - Sheer Nourishment Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15
rated 3 of 5

Don't know if would buy again. This is more of a sheer foundation than tinted moisturiser. Overall it is not bad. I have it in Beautiful Bronze. Reminds me of Revlon Colorstay natural. The problem is, as with all foundations, to get enough SPF on your skin you have to put tons of it, and it looks cakey and mask-like. If you put ist light, it looks way better, but you are not protected. I'll try to put it on top of my OoO complete, but if does not work, well, garbage bin (or swap board!)!!

Sunscreen -Paula's Choice - Essential Non-Greasy Sunscreen spf 15

OMG!! I am so happy I sampled this before buying!!! I think I am definitely out of the avobenzone thingy. This stings like crazy, my non-sentitive skin endded up with red irritated patches. Plus it is so greasy, I had the mirror face throughout most of the day, no powder would do! Definitely a no-no. Same comments apply to the SPF 30.

AMAZING!! This has saved my face. I lavish it on as much as I want and it does not build up. It is very sheer so the colour doesn't affect skin tone at all, or only slightly. Helps with the little oilies, and replaced my Nars podwers for cheaper. Great product!

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Stay Natural Makeup

This is quite an ok foundation. The SPF is a bit low, but the zinc oxide/titanium dioxide mix is what attracted me at first. I put it on top of my sunscreen so... It does not stay in place though but moves out of oily zones by mid-day. But overall reasonable given the price. My problem is the colour selection. Cappuccino is too yellow for me and there aren't any darker available. Anyways, I am moving out of foundation, I don't need it. I recommend it to those who can match the colour to their skin.

Treatments -Paula's Choice - Super Antioxidant Concentrate
rated 5 of 5
Naturalfatima1 2/8/2004 3:12:00 PM

I really don't see how people can find this greasy. I have supa-dupa oily skin and this dries down to a matte finish. It is packed with high quality antioxidants (superoxide dismutase, alpha lipoic acid etc.) and comes out at about 40$ CAN, including shipping and (grumble) taxes. Quite reasonable. But it is NOT a moisturiser so even tough my skin is oily, I still need to put something with it. Currently using my Herbs of Kedem oil with it, but may switch to some Emu or Jojoba oil, or combine with another serum; thinking Aveda night nutrients, Yonka serum, Burt's Bee repair, serum, Olay Regenerist... This is more like an insurance you buy than a treatment. Carefully read her claims about it and don't put it under foundation. UPDATE: I am down to my 3rd bottle and just ordered 4 others. This is Holy Grail. My skin is near perfect now, glowing and all. Little tips: I mix it in the morning with Olay complete and get this wonderful finish no sunscreen can ever give.

Moisturizers -Olay - Complete with SPF 15 Lotion
rated 5 of 5
Naturalfatima1 2/3/2004 1:02:00 PM

I use the fragrance free, SPF 15. This is my current HG winter sunscreen. It is zinc oxide based which can give a white cast to the skin. As I have quite dark skin, it makes my face grey for a few minutes before absorbing. But after an hour or so, it is settled. It might sound too long for some, but that's the best I have found so far... My skin is oily and this one is the only on that doesn't give me the mirror shiny face so, kudos. And, and, and... It is quite cheap, which means you can actually afford to be liberal with it. Update: Now I mix it with a little bit of PC super antioxidant and it leaves a silky finish.

Toners -Marcelle - Aquarelle Oil free Tonifying lotion
rated 5 of 5
Naturalfatima1 2/3/2004 12:55:00 PM

This is my HG toner. It's only 11$ CAD, but does the job like nothing else. I have been using it on and off for about 5 years now, with a few cheating here and there, but I always come back crawling to it. Finilises the cleansing, doesn't leave the skin tight... The best! It contains Hammamelis, aloe etc. and it is recommended for oily skin.
