The elf lip brush I have is the black retractable one and it's losing bristles left and right! Everytime I wipe it clean, clumps of bristles slide out - it's getting to the point where I won't have a brush at all! I replaced this with my MAC lip brush that I had for ages, but no matter how many times I washed that one, the bristles splayed all over the place so I had to toss it. I just ordered another lip brush, this one's a Cover Girl one. Let's hope that one's better because the second it arrives, this elf one is getting tossed!!
I don't know why these don't come to the front of my brain whenever I run out of facial scrub! I'm bought the cocoa butter and the oatmeal & honey and as of now, using the cocoa butter. I'M IN LOVE WITH THIS STUFF! It has, pretty much, the same texture as philosophy's Microdelivery facial scrub for MORE than half the price! It's like scrubbing your face with wet sand but the scent, as faint as it is, is more pleasant. The plastic bottle contains quite a lot so I know this will last me a good long while, and I use it every morning in the shower. It leaves my skin feeling so fresh! Love this stuff, indeed! :)
Blush -Sonia Kashuk - Beautifying Blush - Sunset (03)
NancyGooGoo 6/22/2012 8:40:00 AM
Now, this is one gorgeous blush! It does have a slight shimmer to it, but nothing disco-bally. The name is perfect - "sunset" - because that's the shade it comes out on my cheeks - a nice sunsetty-corally-orange! Beautiful!
Lips -Revlon - Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain- Smitten
NancyGooGoo 6/22/2012 8:34:00 AM
This lip balm is the ISH! I put Smitten on rather intensely at first so it could fade nicely throughout the day! As of right now, it looks like I drank a gallon of cherry kool-aid but I don't look ridiculous! It's a nice juicy red shade. This balm is so moisturizing, too! That's really the best part. I know my lips will not be chapped for the rest of the day - AND, they'll look damn fantastic, and quite kissable, also! :)
Gonna have to toss this one! I tried it with all of my foundations and every single time, it's left little bumps on my cheeks as well as around my chin area. The shimmer is too much and that's probably what's causing the bumps. I really wanted to like this but apparently, it doesn't like me, so in la garbagio it goes!
A really wonderful, terrific, fantastic youtuber mailed this to me and I received the package yesterday. I've been making videos about drooling over this blush for weeks and I finally got it! Love, love, love. As with all MAC blushes, you only need to TAP your blush brush on it and blend it on the cheeks. Leaves a great flush of color and I'm extremely pleased with this blush! If only MAC products weren't so much damn money!!
This review is for the shade, "Fake Tan". I'm very new to bronzers but I'm definitely loving this one! The size is amazing and the product gives me quite the glow! I use the darker side as a contour and brighten my cheeks with the lighter side. Basically, I use this as a blush and not so much as an all over bronzing powder. I just love it no matter how it's used!
Lip Gloss -Sally Hansen - Moisture Twist 2-in-1 Primer + Color
NancyGooGoo 4/11/2012 9:15:00 AM
Either I got a bad batch or I'm just the debbie downer of this product. I bought two and used one yesterday (peach smoothie). Great shade - ZERO lasting power!! I was applying this ALL DAMN DAY! I'm surprised I still have some left in the tube! It smells nice and sweet, and is quite moisturizing like a balm, but if you want to see any color whatsoever, you WILL have to constantly keep applying - over and over, and over again!! I won't be repurchasing anymore of these. After using the first one, I'm not really looking forward to wearing the second one I bought. Sally Hansen, in my opinion, failed on this one but she has other glosses that I enjoy a lot!
Lip Treatments -MAC - Tinted Lip Conditioner- Fuchsia Fix
NancyGooGoo 3/20/2012 11:38:00 AM
I'm using this after quite some time of NOT using it and I'm using it as a lipgloss/balm. It being a tinted lip conditioner, however, there are quite a few touch-ups that have to be made only because it simply fades away. The nice scent still holds up but it's got a waxy taste so I do my best not to lick my lips so much - and it conditioning them means I don't really have to. It's an okay product for what I need it for, but I won't repurchase because I can definitely find a similar product for a lot less money.
Being new to the whole concealer game, I've been looking all over the place for something easy to use for a beginner such as myself. So, I did some digging on youtube. Found a guru by the name of emilynoel! She's fantastic! Even though we're not the same skintone whatsoever, she schooled me to the Photoready and showed how she uses it. I did the exact same thing and I have to say, what a pleasure this is to use. So smooth and creamy and doesn't leave me looking ashy. I use it for under and around the eye area and around my nose, as well. My shades are Medium Deep and Deep. Should I run out of these soon, I will definitely repurchase! You do get a good amount though!
Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst Lip Butter - Brown Sugar
NancyGooGoo 2/16/2012 10:43:00 AM
This makes for a great nude lip for me! It's a phase I'm going through right now and when I found this shade, I couldn't have snatched it up fast enough. I love these lip butters. I own 4 now! They're super moisturizing and pigmented - unlike the L'Oreal LeBalm one. The array of shades is quite abundant, also. I hope they sell these forever!
Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Le Gloss - Nude Illusion #164
NancyGooGoo 2/3/2012 9:52:00 AM
I'm going through a serious "nude" phase right now and this fits perfectly. I call this a "topper" because it gives off that perfect sheer, shimmer on top of any nude lipstick. Today I topped it over L'Oreal's Le Balm in "Comfort Caramel" and those two were destined for each other. Alone it's just pretty much a clear gloss with slight shimmer, but on top of a nude lipstick - MAGIC! The scent is pleasing if you like caramel-chocolate. All in all, this gets a thumbs up from me.
Lip Treatments -L'Oreal - le balm in caramel comfort
NancyGooGoo 2/3/2012 9:37:00 AM
I agree with everything alexanna7 wrote! This is a SUPER sheer nude - to the point of ALMOST going on clear if you don't constantly layer it on. I topped this with my L'Oreal Le Gloss in Nude Illusion for a pretty damn good looking nude lip! I should've used a liner, though. Next time. All in all, it IS a balm and will fade throughout the day - even with the gloss, but I have no problem re-applying because their scents are quite pleasing. Almost a caramel-chocolate scent. Very nice. The balm is also another version of the Revlon Lip Butters - except practically no color to them, whereas the Lip Butters are more pigmented. In any event, I do like this product and actually see myself purchasing this again.
Lipstick -Revlon - ColorStay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick
NancyGooGoo 2/2/2012 8:54:00 AM
What the hell happened with this?! When I put it on it was soft, a little bit glossy and I was fine. No sooner do I walk out the door, this suddenly made my lips practically glue shut when I pressed them together and this dried up on my lips and I felt like my lips were SHRINKING! I had to quickly put some Carmex over it just to get it to feel somewhat NORMAL again! I understand the "liquid lipstick" part of it but I didn't expect the super duper dryness! It literally shrivels my lips and the tightness is something I will not tolerate. So, needless to say, I will NOT be reaching for this anytime soon again - unless perhaps I try layering it over the "Violet Frenzy" lipstick that I bought it with. Maybe the moisture of that lipstick will protect my lips better with this on top than without - I'll give that a try, but this alone, is God-awful!
Lipstick -Revlon - Colorstay Soft and Smooth Lipcolor in Mocha Silk
NancyGooGoo 1/31/2012 11:15:00 AM
I've been on quite a nude/neutral lip look lately and I bought this lipstick in this shade this past weekend. I'm quite pleased with it and I topped it with a Rimmel lipgloss called Stay Glossy in Immortal Charm. A perfect nude lip!! I'm so happy, I can't stand it. I lined my lips with Chanel's Aqua Crayon in Chocolate and the look is exactly what I've been looking for in as far as a nude lip goes! I didn't notice any grayish tinge to this product like others have stated. I did notice that it went on rather smoothly and with the gloss on top, there's no dryness whatsoever. I'm very pleased with this purchase indeed!
