I recently bought Dipdown as a recommendation for my brows, I originally used Brun eyeshadow to fill them in however it didn't last all day so I was on the hunt for something better and this is definitely it. Dipdown has a slight red undertone when compared to Brun so it's far more realistic for my brunette/auburn hair colour. I apply this with an angled brush for a strong and precise application, it lasts all day and doesn't smudge or fade at all. I've never owned a fluidline by MAC before but there appears to be a lot of product in the jar which is also a huge plus for the price. It's also great for using as an eyeliner aswell for more natural looks. Overall, I would definitely purchase this again unless I come across something better.
I recently bought a second pot of Bare Study as I loved the first so much, originally I was going to buy Painterly but this looked so much prettier upon application. Unlike what many people say, I find that this product is not crease resistant (on my eyelids anyway). Worn underneath eyeshadows it literally creases within 30 minutes, however worn with a primer underneath such as Too Faced Shadow Insurance, this combination seems to make eyeshadows last almost all day and night. Overall it's a great product but I'd like to try Painterly next time.
This is actually the first powder I have bought so my review may be a little biased however I really like this product. I use this to set my liquid foundation rather than wearing it alone and it produces a lovely base. It lasts well on the skin during the day and I am fairly oily so that's a massive plus for me. I have broke out since using this product but I tend to at random times so it could be a total coincidence, other than that I love using this powder and would definitely repurchase.
I hate to give a bad review for Illamasqua as I love every one of their previous products that I have tried however this lipstick is totally different to the others. I already knew it was going to be sheer and dry so that didn't really bother me, it's actually the way it looks on the lips! It's horrible and cheap, and for some reason it also makes my skin look really bad as it emphasizes every flaw. Sadly to say I can't return this product as I live in the UK but if I could it would be right back to the store. EDIT: After trying a few different combinations with this lipstick, I've figured it looks best paired up with MAC's Nightmoth/Currant lipliner, it creates a lovely dark lip with a purple and blue sheen, definitely try it out if you're struggling to work with this one.
Recently bought this concealer after MAC's Studio Sculpt was discontinued so I was looking for a similar product and I was pretty happy when I came across this one from Illamasqua. It almost has a similar consistency as it's creamy but slightly dry, it definitely needs to be warmed up before applying. However I do love this concealer as the results look amazing and it lasts a long time on the skin even though I'm combination/oily so that's a major plus for me. It also has a lovely white chocolate scent to it which makes it even more amazing. I'd suggest checking this one out at your local counter.
Static pigment was one of the first items I bought from Illamasqua. It's a gorgeous product and is very similar to MAC's reflects glitter so it's definitely on the sheerer side upon application when in comparison to the usual pure pigments. I do like to wear this with neutral eyeshadows but if you really want to play up to the colour (which I certainly do most of the time) I use a silver or blue eyeshadow underneath with black smoked out in the crease which creates this lovely violet sheen over the eyes, it's beautiful...try it!
I bought Freak in the new Christmas exclusive range, it's a 30ml bottle which is really great because it's so much cheaper than the 75ml. The fragrance itself is definitely a heavy scent but floral and feminine at the same time, someone here has described it as 'vintage' and I totally agree, I think that is the perfect description and is probably one of the main reasons I am in love with this perfume. I would purchase this again but most likely as a 30ml as the original is very expensive.
I'd been wanting to try an Illamasqua lipstick for a while, and I was also looking for a nice red shade which this brand definitely have plenty of. I was particularly looking for a blue-toned red and Box seemed the perfect option. All I can say is I have not put this lipstick down since I have bought it, I have been constantly wearing it. The pigmentation is amazing, aswell as the longevity. Word of warning though...be prepared to check your teeth when wearing this colour, it tends to tranfer which is its one downfall. Otherwise will be purchasing this again when finished!
Snob is a gorgeous pale blue toned pink. It's a satin finish, which of course is one of my favourites by MAC, however this one is possibly slightly on the drier side. I do love this lipstick but I tend to forget about it...which is sad because it is lovely! A must have if you like pale pink lipsticks, and what I also love about Snob is that it's perfect for daytime/work.
Sin is my first blush from NARS, and it's a gorgeous berry colour with slight gold shimmer which translates to a glow once on the cheek. I absolutely love it, it glides on without going patchy when applying, and stays put throughout the day. Like many people have said, a light hand when applying this blush is a must, as if you put too much on it will look way too obvious. Will repurchase when finished, without a doubt.
This was my first Tom Ford fragrance. I was on the lookout for a new perfume and stumbled upon Violet Blonde at Harvey Nichols. It instantly caught my eye (or nose more likely) as it is an absolutely gorgeous smell, slightly powdery, which is something I wouldn't normally go for, but I love it. Very elegant, classy, and sophisticated perfume. A few people were trying this out at the same time as when I was purchasing Violet Blonde, and they didn't like it, which I find unusual as it is so lovely. Will repurchase in the future.
This is the latest lipstick I have bought from MAC. When I saw the pictures and discription of Viva Glam Nicki, I instantly knew I would love it, so I bought it on my next trip to the MAC counter. The fact that this lipstick is satin, is another reason why I had to have it, I love the formula. The shade is very much a yellow based bright pink, it is much sheerer coverage on the lips than what I had imagined, I find myself having to put several layers on to achieve the correct colour in the tube...but maybe that's because I like to put lip balm on first before application. Anyway, I would purchase again and all proceeds go to charity which is a plus!
I had been debating about whether I needed this shade, but the thing that sold me was its finish, matte. I love matte lipsticks, and Quick Sizzle is gorgeous, a perfect bright pink with a blue undertone. I feel it may be a little bit more drying than my other matte lipsticks, but it's not something that really bothers me, and as everyone has already said, Quick Sizzle leaves a lovely stain on the lips which looks amazing!
I was looking for a nice matte red lipstick with an orange undertone at the MAC counter, I thought Lady Danger would be the perfect option, however when I swatched it on my hand it was way too orange...barely any red visible infact, so then I swatched Chili and it was exactly what I had hoped Lady Danger would be, but maybe even better! It's matte, creamy, and definitely not drying in the slightest. Love it!
Coconut Kiss is my first China Glaze nail polish, and I am in love with it! It is definitely the most gorgeous shade of purple that I have ever come across. Shimmery, metallic, and amazing! It does need a good 3-4 coats but it's totally worth it for the results. A must buy.
