Bronzers -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Bronzer w/SPF 15 in Bikini Contest
rated 4 of 5

This product is AMAZING. I have all three colors. Reserve Your Cabana is very light so I wouldn't actually call it a "bronzer"' but rather a highlighter. Bikini Contest and Ticket to Brazil are just gorgeous and stay on all day - the pigmentation is great. And the best part.......they are DIRT CHEAP and you got a TON of product. IMO they are just as good as higher end brands, no kidding! Will definitely purchase again but will be a while because the pans are huge and I can see them lasting quite a long time!

Styling Products -Ouidad - PlayCurl Volumizing Mousse
rated 4 of 5
NHarbison 5/1/2013 3:53:00 PM

I just received my Ouidad products yesterday. I got the volumizing shampoo, conditioner and mousse. I've only used them once (this morning) and so far so good. I don't really have "curly" hair, but my hair has changed since developing gray hair - it's kind of wavy now (I had stick straight hair growing up) - I think it's the texture of the gray hair. Anyway, the products so far have definitely given me more volume and my hair feels soft. I might add to my post later after I have used them a while.

Self Tanners -St.Tropez - Bronzing Mousse
rated 5 of 5
NHarbison 4/17/2013 12:08:00 PM

I really LOVE this self tanner. I purchased at Sephora yesterday, 4/16/13, and also purchased the mit for applying (which is a MUST - keeps your hands mess and stain free!!). The SA told me it does not have a smell, and she was right. This is the ONLY self tanner I have ever tried that does not leave a disgusting smell. I love the pump bottle and love the mousse formula. It is tinted so you can see where you are applying, and it also gives instant color. It develops into a natural looking, believable tan. I will definitely repurchase!!

Bronzers -New York Color - Sun 'n' Bronze in Hamptons Radiance
rated 1 of 5
NHarbison 3/15/2013 4:53:00 PM

This is for crap. Pretty in the container but I could hardly get any product onto a brush. I swirled and swirled and tested on my hand and saw nothing. So, I crushed it up which would probably work in a better container but was just messy in the cheap plastic container it comes in, so I tossed it. It's a total waste of money!! New York Color..........you can do better than this!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast Clump Crusher mascara
rated 3 of 5
NHarbison 2/20/2013 3:05:00 PM

This mascara is just okay to me, nothing special. I actually have a hard time getting product out of the tube and onto the wand - it just seems like when I pull the wand out, there's not much there, and it takes a few coats for it to show up on my lashes. As for "busting clumps", I guess it does do that, but still I'm not sold that this is the greatest mascara to come out. There are others out there that are equally good.

Crème -Revlon - New Complexion One-Step Compact Makeup
rated 4 of 5
NHarbison 2/8/2013 12:14:00 PM

This is really an excellent product from Revlon, and needs more attention I believe. It's been around for a LONG time but I recently re-discovered it in shade "Sand" (I'm NC35) and it's a good match. The formula is incredible - it's like you are sponging on a liquid and you can build the coverage as needed, then it dries to a soft powdery finish and it doesn't look too heavy at all! Might not work for oily skinned folks but it's wonderful for me! Give it a try!

Powder -Make Up For Ever - Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation
rated 4 of 5
NHarbison 2/5/2013 11:53:00 AM

I like this foundation a lot so far; however, when I first got it from Sephora on Friday I ended up with a shade that is too dark. I purchased #128 but took it back yesterday to get #127 (golden sand, and I'm NC35), and it's a much better match. I also purchased the Sephora pro bronzer brush to apply it with which works well - blends it out nicely. So far, for me, it stays on all day and looks nice - not too heavy, and does not look cakey or maskey on me. As with all products, it will work for some and not others but I really like it, and maybe not more than MAC Studio Fix which is the powder foundation I have used the most in the past, but equally. I just wanted to try "the latest thing" as I do with a lot of products but I really do like it and would probably purchase again.

Foundations -Cover Girl - Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 Foundation
rated 1 of 5
NHarbison 1/25/2013 10:20:00 AM

Update to my previous post on Friday 1/25: Well, I thought I liked this. I bought it Thursday night and it seemed to do okay on Friday. But, over the weekend I was out running around shopping (on Saturday) and by the time I got home it looked SO splotchy and just too heavy/masky. So, YUCK to this for me! Original Review 1/25: I purchased this last night at Wal Mart in medium beige (I'm NC35). I was guessing because the colors all looked so light to me under the store lighting, but it's a pretty good match. Anyway, I used it this morning and so far I love the way it looks and the finish is nice. I lightly dusted some MAC Studio Fix powder foundation over it, but I think you might could even go w/out powder with this foundation. I have not been impressed with CG foundations in the past and think they need to upgrade their blushes and ES - their mascaras are pretty good. But, I really am impressed with this foundation - it's a great, affordable find as an alternative to some HE brands. Just make sure you blend it really well and it will even out to a nice finish. I would definitely repurchase and it's nice to see a good product by CG!

Blush -Milani - Baked Blush - Rose D'Oro
rated 5 of 5
NHarbison 10/9/2012 4:27:00 PM

I purchased this yesterday - my third shade of Milani baked blush (I also have Luminoso and Berry Amore). I do believe this is my favorite shade - it gives a nice flush of color and isn't too shimmery, at least not for me. It really is a nice shade and warms my cheeks up! I'm really starting to like the Milani brand and plan on exploring more products in the future!

Liquid -Sephora - Instant Radiance Foundation
rated 5 of 5
NHarbison 7/24/2012 3:05:00 PM

I bought this last week and have been wearing it under my MAC Studio Fix powder foundation when I want a little extra coverage and it works great! I love the finish - very pretty - very smooth and not shimmery like you would associate a foundation with "radiance" in the name. And I love the pump bottle too - all liquid foundations should have this. I just wanted a light foundation but didn't want to pay a high price and this one is a keeper!

BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium
rated 4 of 5
NHarbison 6/29/2012 1:53:00 PM

I just purchased this yesterday from Walgreen's, even though the reviews aren't too good. Not sure why though because I like this product - I guess everyone's skin is different, so you just have to try it yourself sometimes, despite the reviews. My tube is fine - does not come out as a "globby mess" as some have commented. It came out really smooth and was easy to blend into my skin. I am 47 though, so maybe since my skin is more dry than when I was younger, it accepts this product better. I put my MAC primer over it then my MAC Studio Fix powder foundation and my face has looked fine all day, and I can see a sheer glow from the BB cream, even through my makeup. So, this product is a winner for me and I do not see a reason to purchase a higher end BB cream.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous False Fiber Lashes
rated 5 of 5
NHarbison 6/28/2012 5:24:00 PM

I got this today at Walgreen's in "Black Lacquer", #220 and I really like it. I like the fact that the brush is not fat like so many of the new mascaras. It doesn't take a "fat" brush to plump up lashes - just a good mascara, and a brush that can get to them. IMO the fat brushes make it harder to coat all the lashes. I would recommend this mascara for sure.

Blush -NARS - Blush in Oasis
rated 5 of 5
NHarbison 3/28/2012 10:45:00 AM

I bought this yesterday and I love it so much - it's a beautiful neutral pink on me - a good every day color. It does have some shimmer but that doesn't seem to show up on me too much. In the pan it looks like it wouldn't give much color, but like most Nars blushes, it's very pigmented and a little goes a long way, and it does show up well. I also have Deep Throat and Dolce Vita and love those as well. I think Nars products are great.

Liquid -Lancome - Teint Miracle
rated 5 of 5
NHarbison 2/29/2012 12:00:00 PM

I purchased this from Sephora yesterday and so far I love it, although I think I need a darker shade (I got Buff 5C and seems a tad too pale on me). It feels light on the skin but gives a nice, luminous finish. I use my dual finish powder foundation over it (also by Lancome). Oh, and I love the pump bottle. It's a little pricey but typical for department store foundations, but it's worth it to me, to have a foundation I'm actually happy with!
