Self Tanners -SUN Laboratories - Ultra Dark Lotion
Myoung19 4/12/2013 5:54:00 PM
Just fyi you can get this on Amazon for $24 free shipping (free 2 day if you have Prime like I do). I have bought at least 4 bottles of this and it's my HG self tanner. It dries very fast, smells like cherry almond and looks 100% natural! I put it on before bed and by the time I wake up I'm tan, the self guide bronze will wash off. Any dark spots it may leave washes off. I use Eucerine/Aquaphore lotion (yes, is thick and greasy) on my feet/ankles, elbows and knees. It still tans through it but will not leave those spots dry and dark. For my face I mix it 1/2 & 1/2 with my normal face lotion so I don't get my face to dark. To do my hands I use a foundation brush to get it on them perfectly- buff, buff, . You can use any exfoliater you have (non greasy just plain) and I moisturize my body 2xs a day to extend the life of the tan. The green you see in the tan self guide is what counteracts any orange that a lot of self tanners leave you with. I just don't see how you can go wrong with this! Like any self tanner practice with aplication makes perfect. I am naturally fair skinned, this Ultra Dark is not too dark at all. It's buildable, so the more you put on either at once (wouldn't recommend for fair skin) or daily it can build up to be very dark!

Shampoo -Aveda - Madder Root Shampoo
Myoung19 3/22/2013 11:19:00 AM
This is a great shampoo to at least not strip the red out of your hair. Does it deposit any red in my (dyed) red hair? No. But I knew this before I bought it. Most shampoos I've used just strip the red right out and this one does not. Best you use the Madder Root shampoo and condition together to maintain your red hair. I would definitely buy this (and the conditioner) again. I have not had you re-dye my hair over again. Im just able to touch up my roots. Anyone with red hair knows how freakin fast red hair fades and how you have to re-color your entire head of hair over and over again which just damages your hair. With both these products (I know this is just for the shampoo but I'm including both) together you'll be amazed how easy it is to keep your red hair from fading.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Boyfriend - Boyfriend Pulse Point Oil
Myoung19 12/31/2012 8:26:00 PM
This is my favorite perfume! I'm not good at writing descriptions of the smell of anything. This is like a female version of a mens Cologne which I love! I love wearing mens fragrance since I dislike sweet, flowery girly perfumes. The pulse point is perfect for carrying around in your bag. The bottle is sturdy enough I do not worry about it breaking. I plan to buy the spray version next because it has a stronger scent than the pulse point which I have to put more on compared to the spray. Definitely will purchase this again! Can't get over the wonderful, masculine smell of this! I'm sniffing my wrists all day long!

Lipstick -MAC - Cremesheen Creme Cup
Myoung19 12/17/2012 7:11:00 AM
Beware, this does pull lilac on neutral to warm skin tone. I do not personally look good in any shade with even a tint of anything in the purple range on my lips. The color is pretty so I can see how it can work for a lot if skin tones. Just not mine :( On me, L'oreal Fairest Pink looks better with no lilac pull. I wish I could find a higher end color like that, but I can't complain. Packaging is fine, basic MAC. I didn't find the formula drying per say, but it does accentuate dry, flaky lips so watch out for that. Lipstick wear is, idk, not something I worry about much. Lipsticks come off, you gotta reapply, that's just the life if a lipstick lol ;)

Treatments -Paula's Choice - RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment
Myoung19 12/14/2012 5:15:00 PM
This is an absolutely AMAZING product! The packaging does suck, it's like water and you could easily spill it if your not careful. Some use a cotton pad but to me that wastes too much product IMO. I pour about a dime size amount into my clean palm, then use the fingers on my other hand to apply this on my face and neck area. That seems to work for me. I apply this at night and since AHA products are moisturizing , I don't need to add anything over this. After I wake up my skin is literally shockingly glowing, smooth and radiant! I was so shocked after my first use. I had a sample and immediately ordered this the next day with free shipping. I would pay $50 for this product. It's totally HG product for me! Doesn't not irritate, dry out, no flakes, with use. I use this twice a week, couldn't easily use this more often because my skin is not sensitive. If your hesitant because of the price, order the sample set and see what you think.

Blush -MAC - Mineralize Blush - Warm Soul
Myoung19 12/11/2012 7:29:00 PM
I am a very neutral NC20-25. This a very pretty, natural, flush of color. Not orange! Doesn't oxidize. I find that it is very highly pigmented so just one light swipe is all you need for lighter skintones such as mine. It's just a natural flush of peachy golden-ish color. Not so much as a blush blush, but just a really nice natural glowy look, which I love. Perfect for winter to kinda brighten up and add some natural color to your face. Not glittery at all. Just beautiful :) Very happy with this buy from MAC.

Primer/ Corrector -BeneFit Cosmetics - The Porefessional
Myoung19 12/11/2012 7:20:00 PM
This is decent. It does blur the look of your pores quite well. My only problem with this is it doesn't seem to last long on my oily t zone. You can re apply of course, but gosh, who wants to do that really? I'm not sure yet if I'd buy the full size product but its a great thing to get in benefits little sample type packages they put out. But all the other pore minimizer stuff all tend to work the same on my skin honestly, so what's a girl to do? I'm such a sucker for their cute package designs, even though the designs do waste product for the most part. But dang, do they have the cutest boxes and stuff or what? Adorable!

Blush -BeneFit Cosmetics - Cha Cha Tint
Myoung19 12/11/2012 7:13:00 PM
I got this is one of Benefits little sets, which I love for trying out there products. I haven't used this on my cheeks, but as a lip stain its really pretty and natural peachy looking on me. I just kinda dot it on, blend, let dry for a minute, the put some clear gloss over it. It looks scary at first glance, normally I hate orange and never in my life would even consider buying this. It's a nice product, I use it a lot, but probably wouldn't buy one of the huge bottles of it. The tiny bottles of it are great though to stash in your makeup bag.

Eyeliner -BeneFit Cosmetics - Eye Bright
Myoung19 12/11/2012 7:07:00 PM
I really like this. I got it in a set because its not something I would normally buy or even probably consider buying or looking at. -it's a very light natural pink color. -brightens up the water line -can be used anywhere on your face that needs some color correction. I've used it in dark bags (ugh) under my eyes to kinda reflect light. Sides of my nose where it's red, etc. -this really is a multi use product that, on me, is neither drying or too oily. -sets good with powder or with one.

Eye Primer -BeneFit Cosmetics - Stay Don't Stray
Myoung19 12/11/2012 7:02:00 PM
It took me awhile to get this right. At first I hated this! Thought it was total crap, but since I bought it I was determined to make it work (don't like to waste money). -it takes a very very tiny amount to look good. -it covers up tiny views, etc on your eyelid (kinda like the MAC paint pot in painterly) -it's a primer and correcting color in one. It's NOT a clear primer and its not supposed to be. -great canvas to not only primer your lids but to make your eyeshadow really pop! The only negative thing is the pump pumps out wayyyy to much product. So just press a tiny dot out for each eye, which is kinda hard to do at first, but then you'll get the hang of it. Oh yeah, it can separate weirdly into an oily mixture if you let it sit unsed for awhile. When it does that I just blend what came out onto my finger and its perfectly fine. Or just shake the bottle well before using. I've had mine for a long time and its lasted forever.i took of one lippy be because it pumps out way to much product. It would be better in a pot I think.

Moisturizers -Cerave - Moisturizing Lotion
Myoung19 9/23/2012 8:57:00 PM
I use both the moisturizing face wash and the PM version of this face lotion. My skin is oily dehydrated. Since using this, and grapeseed oil at night my skin has gone from oily to normal! I don't have to even use a powder over my foundation or blot my skin anymore. Its try a miracle product for my skin! I even dab some of this on breakouts, which seems counter productive, but it reduces my breakouts and doesn't leave the red spots behind after they have healed.

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup
Myoung19 9/16/2012 1:01:00 AM
Update: I'm still using this foundation and really like it! For me the best way to apply it is with the MAC skunk brush (187? I forget the numbers). I just put the brush straight into the jar and pick up a tiny bit of the foundation and stipple on one area at a time since it does dry fairly quickly. I like a light application, sometimes medium. With the skunk brush you use such a small amount each time I've hardly made a dent in this foundation. I have to blot only once a day on my nose, which is amazing to me in itself! I'll definitely buy this again. I've tried using my other foundations but keep coming back to this and now only use this one. I use a primer but I'm not sure that's necessary and am going to try it today without a primer. I have dehydrated oily skin. I thought this cream foundation was for dry skin only but I was totally wrong. On my dry parts it looks terrible but on my oily parts it goes on great and looks good. So if you have dry or combo skin make sure you moisturize well before applying. The coverage can be light (but not light like a BB or tinted moisturizer) to full coverage. I'm surprised at how good this is for oily skin. I got *Sand Beige* and its a very *neutral* tone which I love. It covers my redness and old acne scars nicely. My skin is around NC20. I still have not perfected my application method though. It takes very little product to cover your face. I don't mind the jar. I wash my hands and just use my finger to remove the product. It looks nice sitting on my counter. If you travel a lot you can transfer some into a smaller pot because its not travel friendly. Like the liquid CS it trends to dry fairly fast, I just do one area of my fave at a time and its fine. I like that its not as matte or flat or heavy looking as the liquid version. This formula just looks more natural on my skin.

Hair Color -Revlon - Colorsilk in Dark Brown
Myoung19 3/25/2012 4:04:00 AM
This is great! Exactly the color I wanted- dark but not quite black. I love it. I went from red to this color and it pulled no red through, its a delicious dark dark brown! And so cheap. Who cares if the conditioner is in a plastic tear bag? It tears open easily with ur fingers, just one use, but it conditions just as good add any other. My hair is not dried out like the Feria brand. If you want a very dark, rich brown this is for you. I have med/long straight fine hair and one package was more than enough for me. Definatly will use again. So far no fading and its not brassy at all.

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Nizoral AD Shampoo
Myoung19 10/7/2011 4:25:00 PM
For me this is truly a miracle product! I have had SD for years and nothing helped until I bought this. *Immediatly* my scalp was normal. No itching, scaling, flaking! My hair is also not falling out from the clogged scalp pores anymore. Thank god. I can't live without this product. I had tried Head and Shoulders, Selson Blue, etc and those just seemed to make my scalp dry and itch/flake even more. Nizoral calms my scalp internally. Yes its expensive, smells strongly medicin-y, drys ur hair out some (condition well after use) but it WORKS. Everyone has a different condition that causes itchy/flaky/scaly scalp but if you have tried everything else with no results or just so so results this is definatly worth the money.

Conditioner -Redken - Smooth Down
Myoung19 9/6/2011 3:23:00 AM
I am not impressed! I usually use All Soft which is great, very moisturizing and doesn't weigh my fine oily hair down at all. Smooth Down made my hair even more frizzy and tangly (i never get tangles in wet hair). My hair is med-long, dry and color treated and I was kinda shocked at how frizzy and dry it looked after I blow dried it. The smell isn't good or bad. I won't buy this again, will stick with All Soft.
