Liquid -Revlon - Beyond Natural Skin Matching Makeup SPF 15
MyNewHobby 11/4/2009 7:14:00 PM
Thanks to feedback on MUA from fellow oily skinned reviewers, I decided to give this a shot and so glad I did. I can't believe it's rated so low. This could be my new HG. I am oily and am a PPP. Light works perfect for me and it's super easy to apply with the squeeze bottle. I applied it directly with my fingers with no hassles. I was a big fan of ColorStay until they changed the formula and BN is a step up, IMO. It dried to a soft natural powder finish, controlled the oil all day and stayed true to color. No touchups and no breakouts. Seriously impressed.

Blush -Paula Dorf - Ballet cheek color

I am the minority. I felt this was way too pink/purple to look natural on my PPP skin. I would be willing to try a different color, as it does seem like it could work under the right circumstances.

Blush -Tarte - Cheek Stain in Tipsy
MyNewHobby 6/28/2007 6:00:00 PM
A bit difficult to blend, but it's my first cheek stain. Color looks very nice with a tan, but I think this would be much too difficult to blend in with my foundation. I will only be using this in the summer.

I am the minority. I am a PPP who looks a more natural look and this was way to red/pink on me.

Blush -Burt's Bees - Blushing Creme

I am very impressed with the peach color. I am PPP, yellow undertones and this gives a nice subtle natural glow, with no shimmer. It is totally buildable. I plan on taking the advice of others and using a light dash of powder over it to ensure staying power. New HG.

Blush -Rimmel - Apricot [DISCONTINUED]

I was very unhappy with the color. i can't even tell you what color it ended up looking like on my face, because it was off again so fast. I would consider a different color, but not thrilled with the cheap packaging either. The lid broke the first time I took it off.

Liquid -Jane - Oil Free foundation

Why are the reviews on this so low???? This is some of the best foundation out there. It does have the stay-put feature of Revlon Colorstay for a fraction of the price and I believe looks more natural. Simply apply lightly or you will end up masky, as with any foundation. It does have a watery feel to it, which doesn't bother me. I use a foundation brush to apply this and do not have problems with blendability. I do recall using fingers with Revlon Colorstay and having blending problems, maybe solves that issue. As for settling in lines, I have never met a foundation that didn't do that, so I just avoid my lines with all foundations. I am working with oily skin and have no out of the ordinary breakouts. PPP and use Ivory with no problems on color change.

Crème -Maybelline - True Illusion Liquid-To-Powder Makeup

Broke me out by the end of the day. As others have said, the color, the oil... lousy. Avoid it like the plague.

Primer/ Corrector -Clinique - Pore Minimizer Instant Perfector
MyNewHobby 1/31/2006 10:09:00 AM
As others have said, the name of this is VERY misleading. It's basically clogging the pores by filling them in. Doesn't work well under makeup and gave me white heads. Will not be repurchasing.

Entirely too pigmented for a PPP, even with a light hand. Better suited for someone with a darker complexion.

Entirely too pigmented for PPP, no matter how light a hand. This would look good on someone with a darker complexion.

Blush -NARS - Amour

I am the minority apparently. I really wanted to like this but, I don't find anything special about this product. It goes on like any other blush and you could find a cheaper version of the same color and I found the pigment a little too strong to be natural looking... even with a light sweep. Will not repurchase.
