Polishes -Essie - Chubby Cheeks

This applies really nicely. On short nails, one coat is enough, if my nails are longer, I use two coats. Great pigmentation! The color changes according to the light you are in, from a bright orange coral to a creamy subdued rosy coral. I love this.

Top/Base Coats -Catrice - Quick Dry & High Shine Top Coat
rated 5 of 5

PROS: Dries NP quickly, even if you apply multiple coats. Stays thin and runny unlike other QD TCs which turn hard and gooey after some weeks of use. CONS: Is not as chip-resistant as other faves like Essie Good To Go, SH InstaDry or Seche Vite. But I still give it 5 stars because it says it is a QUICK DRYING TC and chip-resistance is not what this promises. It is also dirt cheap.

Top/Base Coats -OPI - RapiDry Top Coat

Previous QDTCs I have used were Seche Vite, Essie Good to Go, Sally Hansen InstaDri and Orly in a Snap. I like all of them apart from the Orly one What irked me about the SV was how quickly it went super thick. Not so with this TC. Rapidry stays nice and liquid quite long, which makes it easy to apply. I was disappointed when i first applied it because it took 5 minutes until my polish was dry to the touch. With the other TCs it was a question of like... 60 seconds. BUT... I was soon happy again because even though it takes longer to dry to the touch, it dries THROUGH the layers of polish WAY quicker than the others. It also doesn't chip any faster for me than Good To Go or Seche Vite. Neither of the three though are as good as Sally Hansen InstaDry with regard to chipping.

Pressed Powders -Maybelline - Fit Me

I was looking for a powder to set my Lancome Teint Miracle foundation with. I normally use a blot powder for oiliness but with Teint Miracle, I wanted smth that doesn't cancel out the luminous finish. This powder has VERY subtle shimmer to it, which is pearlescent rather than glittery, which is also true for TM. So they work nicely for me. But if you are looking for oil control, then skip this one. Great color choices, too. I also like the packaging. I DO take a lippy off though because the consistency could be more finely milled.

Treatments -L'Oreal - Youth Code Regenerating Skincare Serum Intense Daily Treatment
rated 5 of 5

I don't understand the negative reviews. I have sensitive, dehydrated, acne-prone skin and this is amazing for me. I stopped using acne-specific products a long time ago and all I use is Neostrata AHA 15 Gel plus, this serum and the Olay Active Hydrating Beauty Fluid for sensitive skin. I get so many compliments on my skin. This serum is the most moisturizing I know and it is calming, but I DO use a generous amount of this. Like two two wholew squirts, if that makes sense, on the am and pm. I can't say anything about the anti-aging properties - ask me again in 10 years. But don't be put off by the reviews if you are curious about this product. I honestly know no better serum out there. I think, sometimes MUA decides to hate a product and I think that is the case here.. Don't ask me why though. I suppose it has something to do with the miraculous properties L'Oreal promises... this won't turn back time and so far I don't know if it can prevent signs of aging. But it is nevertheless beneficial for my skin, so it might just as well be for yours, too. By the way, for those who are not aware... this is the same stuff as Lancome Genifique... L'Oreal, the mother company of both, does this regularly. They release something new in the Lancome line only to sell the same product under a different name in their drugstore line.

Fragrances -J. Lo - Glow

Never in my life would I have bought this myself. BUt when I was given this fragrance as a gift, I was pleasantly surprised. It is a simple, soapy scent, but for what it is... quite complex. If that makes sense. This smells like classic soap, but in a good sense. At least to my nose. It is sweet and powdery and flowery, so you def. need to like that kind of scent. But if you do, give this a try. I would NEVER EVER have thought that Glow would become a staple in my perfume wardrobe.

Fragrances -Thierry Mugler - Alien

I love big heady florals and oriental scents and I am a huge fan of jasmine... but this is just overkill. This is the only fragrance ever to had given me a headache. All I smell is vanilla and jasmine so this fragrance does not seem complex or well-composed - which I expect at that price. The bottle is lovely but that is it, at least for me. This is cloying and generic and I really don't know what TM was thinking.

Conditioner -TiGi - Bed Head Urban Antidotes Level 2 Recovery
rated 5 of 5
MyKarmaRanOverYourDogma 9/23/2011 7:19:00 PM

This review is for the shampoo and conditioner as a combination. Hands down the best shampoo and conditioner for my thick and curly hair and sensitive scalp. I think I have tried every shampoo there is out there and even though I am not a fan of TiGi shampoos usually, this blew me away. I was disappointed after the first wash because it was mediocre at best... but after a few washes, I have to say that this is a fabulous product. My hair is extremely shiny and super soft, wavy but without frizz. It has a nice lather, which is important for us thick-haired girls and I only need half of what I need of other conditioners to get the desired results. I cannot even out into words how much I love this. My hair improves with each use. If you have an oily scalp, do it like I do and only use the conditioner on your lengths.

Foundations -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector Daily All-In-One
rated 5 of 5
MyKarmaRanOverYourDogma 9/23/2011 4:36:00 PM

I have sensitive dehydrated combo skin, blemish prone and with mild rosacea. I was pleasantly surprised by this product. It is definitely on the lighter side as far as coverage goes but it has more oomph than your regular tinted moisturizer, leaving my skin even-toned. It DOES leave my skin kind of shiny, which I think is partly due to the SPF, but I dust a little bit of setting powder over it and my skin looks just fine - which means I skip foundation on most days now, unless I have a special event or a night out. Great everyday product with a lovely fresh citrusy scent to it.

Treatments (Eye) -Avene - Ystheal Anti-aging gel-cream
rated 5 of 5
MyKarmaRanOverYourDogma 3/20/2011 12:25:00 PM

I have been using this product for 6 months now and it has completely transformed my eye contour area. I am 31 and don't have any deep wrinkles, but my skin tends to look crepey. I also suffer from droopy lids. I was underwhelmed by the cream initially because at first I saw no difference, then a turn for the worse. However, after three months, my skin has started to look super smooth and firm (in a good way). Six months later, my dark circles have disappeared and my eye area is as smooth as a baby bottom. And plump. AND... *drum rolls* my lids are less droopy. I would NEVER have expected that might even be remotely possible w/o a brow lift. Please keep in mind to only use this at night and to use sunscreen during the day. I don't want to miss this from my skincare stash anymore. Ever.
