I never rush to write reviews of skincare since initial results can vary drastically from what happens once your skin acclimates to the product, but the previous review made me want to chime in now, & I'll update later. I've been using this cream about a week solid now, I am really liking it. The formula is strange but I'm a fan, it's like a primer-gel-cream consistency. Absorbs almost instantly, no color or scent of any kind. It's not super duper moisturizing ( I have dry skin, if you're normal/oily, it could be ideal ), so if you have very dry areas, you may need to spot treat with something else. Full of Promise is more like a treatment than a cream, it's like a hybrid product, I'd say moisturizing skincare primer. On the third day of using I said to myself that it should be called High def skincare cause my skin sort of looked tightened and sharpened with it, wow. It s hard to explain but as soon as it sets, I look better than without it. I just use a BB cream over it and my skin looks great. I had a few hormonal breakouts and they healed within two or three days of use, so far it just gets better and better. After finishing my sample, I bought the full jar! I'll update if disappointments ensue, but so far I'm loving this and wanted to add this to reviews since the one before me had a negative experience, I didn't want a potential buyer of this to be discouraged right away.
Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Sweet Tart
MyBeehive 3/28/2013 1:55:00 PM
Such a pretty, buildable pink juicy shade for Spring and Summer! I like that Revlon lip butters have no taste or scent. They glide on, feel good and don't dry my lips out. I'm pleasantly surprised for a Revlon lip product.
Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle
MyBeehive 3/28/2013 1:47:00 PM
Just chiming in to announce my love for Pink Truffle! On my pale lips its darker than a MLBB but in a very flattering sheer pink/brown way. Love for everyday. Feels like a balm, no taste or scent, cheap. You do have to reapply, but considering the pros, I'm won over. I should've jumped on this Lip butter bandwagon ages ago, I thought they'd just be super sheer and meh-- I was wrong. WIN!
Deodorants -Clarins - Gentle Care Roll-On Deodorant
MyBeehive 12/29/2012 11:12:00 PM
I bit pricey at $16, like double the price of the Clinique roll-on antiperspirant that I also love, and only 50 mLs, compared with Clinique's 60 mL, but this is just wonderful. Soft feminine scent that dissipates shortly after applying, clear application, which is very important and the same few mins to set as with all roll ons. Feels gentle and not drying or sticky. The ball is larger and applies easily, I almost feel like it soothes my armpits, heh. Winner for me..
This is coming from someone who generally hates lip gloss: This stuff is great, love love it! It's the perfect shiny nude color, feels wonderful with that mild plumping mintiness feeling. Yum! Tastes good, feels good, looks good, very little to take issue with here, highly recommended. I usually find gloss to sticky/tacky and stick to lipstick for every day, but I have re-bought this once already and plan to again when I run out. It even helps with chapped lips in the winter when I put it on, I find my lips are in better condition by the time it wears off. 5/5. :) Also- I read below that ppl have gotten the full size with a brush applicator? My full-size has the doe-foot, and I prefer it that why. Inconsistency in packaging? Be sure to check first, if you have a preference.
I'm a fan of these Velvet Gloss pencils, so I say I won't repurchase strictly for the color. NARS calls it auburn, but on my pale lips its like a true terra cotta color :( Like 90s lip, I bought this the other day hoping for like a strawberry beige, but no. Warm yellowy brown with red. True terracotta color. Formula is great though.
Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Antibacterial Hand Soap
MyBeehive 12/13/2012 1:02:00 AM
I've become an addict to BBW hand soaps, I have like 8 stockpiled in my linen closet. I never really shopped at this store, I don't know why, always just passed it up as cheesy, generic mall products but now I'm in. I buy them 6 or sometimes even 7 for $20 plus other incentives like a free product, or $10 off $30, et al. I keep the kitcheny ones at the kitchen sink and I've gone through several in my bathroom now as well. I like the options, deep cleansing ( little scrubbing beads ), instant foaming and moisturizing. Fun seasonal offerings & in general these soaps are super.

Someone was nice enough to gift me this in a secret Santa package and although the scent is kind of like apple-y laundry detergent, I don't dislike it. Its not actually that moisturizing. i find the deep cleansing forrnula the least drying actually, I won't buy this scent again but the soaps in general are super.
Lip Gloss -NARS - Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil Mexican Rose
MyBeehive 12/9/2012 1:32:00 PM
Wow, I cannot believe MUA didn't have a review for this! It's like a wonder product, seriously, if it looks like your thing and you are considering buying Mexican Rose, DO! It came out in the NARS Spring 2012 ( almost positive ) color story. NARS describes it as Hot pink but on my pale lips it leans red too. It's like a super bright pink red berry and guess what!?! THIS IS A LIP STAIN TOO. And a good one! All you need is one nice coat, blot, touch up and that's all you need all day, it's like whoa. Hahahaha. I was expecting something sheer without any staying power and I was so wrong. It's translucent color without being sheer, if that makes sense. Formula feels wonderful, not sticky, not drying, just right. Then my lips like absorbed the color after like 20 mins and at the end of the night it took m/u remover to take it off. Mexican Rose is my new obsession and I cannot wait to devour more of these Velvet Gloss pencils, they are delightful. New Lover is the only other that I've so far tried and the formula feels the same, though it doesn't seem to last as well. Anyway holy hotdog I'm so excited to find my go-to one-step pretty bright berry mouth product.
I'm a fan. I like Lancôme mascara a in general, they all share a certain vibe although the brushes and formulas may differ. I like this one, it has a large tapered brush, wet formula, better scent than the trademark dead roses Lancôme mascara smell! Mmmm. It's lengthening, a nice deep black and I find it to be buildable if you don't wait too long between coats.
Scrubs -Olay - Regenerist Microdermabrasion and Peel Kit
MyBeehive 12/6/2012 3:54:00 PM
Thumbs up on this for a drugstore, not too expensive exfoliation system. I went through one kit and I've been without it for a few weeks and I find I'm missing it! I used to only use it about once a week or as needed if I felt build-up on my face. It's easy to use, smells and feels good, lasts a while. It's not a miracle product, the results are clean, smooth, lightly resurfaced skin. I'll rebuy until I find a perfect at-home peel system for me.
Moisturizers -Philosophy - Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Moisturizer
MyBeehive 12/6/2012 3:45:00 PM
My daily daytime moisturizer for the past two months, I love this. I see instant results when applied, firmer skin, a little bit of a glow, yes please! I don't see wrinkle reduction, but seriously, that's a tall order anywhere. I love how quickly this cream absorbs, it's sort of like a gel/cream, so I can hurry up and do my makeup. No scent, that's a plus. I do wish it came in a pump dispenser, seems so much more hygienic and better for freshness of ingredients than a jar, but maybe in the future?? Eh, Philosophy?? :) I'll repurchase this, after 2 mos, I'm moving it to " staple " category. Just or the record, my skin concerns are as follows: Dry Wrinkle prevention Clogged pores Evenness My skin is pretty good otherwise, I get like a zit monthly, that's it.
Treatments -Philosophy - Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Concentrate
MyBeehive 12/6/2012 3:34:00 PM
Lots of negative reviews here, but it totally works for my skin. I'm dry-ish and use this nightly under my heavy duty Estée Lauder night cream. It feels great, a gel serum, brownish orange, absorbs at the reg rate of a serum. NOT sticky but silky and a little moisturizing. It may be all you need for night hydration if you're oily. I've been at this for a month and I see a change for the better in my skin. Pores have shrunk, general tightening of the skin ( in a good way, not like the tight feeling of a drying cleanser). I think some of the good results are due to the reg Miracle Worker moisturizer, which I love and use for daytime, I'll review that next. I love the hygienic pump it comes in. I use 1 - 1 1/2 pumps per application so you really don't need much which is good considering the $62. Price tag. Just or the record, my skin concerns are as follows: Dry Wrinkle prevention Clogged pores Evenness My skin is pretty good otherwise, I get like a zit monthly, that's it.
Treatments -Olay - Regenerist Night Resurfacing Elixir
MyBeehive 12/6/2012 3:19:00 PM
I used this nightly under night moisturizer (Estée Lauder) and saw no difference. Kept trying for about a month, zero change from just using the moisturizer. No results for my skin, period. Switched to Philosophy Miracle Worker serum, far superior product and actually feels good when applied. The Olay was a little sticky when applied.
To be fair, my lashes look well defined and really long when using this, but I wouldn't repurchase and this is why: no volume, this is purely a lengthening mascara and wow smudgy mess when removing. When wearing this, my lashes are SO STIFF, hate that. I've found black smudges the next day from this, flakes a little while wearing too. The short bristle rubber wand does give good definition, so the wand I'm a fan of, but the formula-- no.
