Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Astrali - Vega Firming cream
Muzzie 8/13/2006 9:21:00 AM
Astrali's Vega ( they all have "celestial" names!) firming cream is used twice a day in any areas you want a firming action... under the chin etc and you can feel it tightening, not uncomfortably but just a little. It is full of herbs, vitamins, amino acids etc as Astrali's products all are.... smells lovely, is light and non greasy( fine under makeup) and is used under the day(Orion) or nightcream ( Saturne or Ariane if you use that). I can feel a difference under my chin already after about 3 weeks or so, very happy! It comes in a 50ml plastic jar with a spatula. I normally use good skincare like Dermalogica, Elizabeth Grant, Liz Earle etc but I am a total Astrali convert at this stage. Hard to put my finger on it but it really IS different and it works but in a soft, natural sort of way, not chemically.

Treatments (Eye) -Unlisted Brand - Astrali Creme Douceur eye cream
Muzzie 8/13/2006 9:07:00 AM
Astrali's eye and lip creme is called Creme Douceur which means "to soften" in French and that it does... softens lines. It is light enough to wear under makeup easily but rich enough to make a difference. Comes in a 50 ml ( which is GREAT for an eyecream.. they are usually 15ml) plastic jar with a spatula. Excellent value for a good quality eyecream...

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Astrali Orion Day cream
Muzzie 8/13/2006 8:49:00 AM
Astrali's day cream is a lot lighter than Saturne ( the night cream ) and is great under makeup, sinks in immediately. It has an Spf 5 ( bit pathetic but better than nothing..they make sunscreen as a sep. product). It is fine on oilier or younger skin as a nightcream too. It is fluffy, light white gel/creme packed with vitamins, trace elements etc and comes in a 50ml plastic jar with spatula. I really like this one, as I said it is particularly good under my foundation. Drier skin can apparently use Saturne even in the day but I would find that too heavy.. Orion is just right for my combo skin.

Scrubs -Unlisted Brand - Astrali Astrapeel
Muzzie 8/13/2006 8:43:00 AM
Astrali Astrapeel is a gentle cream based scrub, plant/marine and vitamin rich that contains tiny 315 micron round poly particles as the "scrub". It is used once a week and it feels gentle...but also thorough because they have put plenty of those beads in there. You don't need to apply any pressure... just move it around your skin and the cream component will skin in and you then rinse the beads off. Doesn't leave a residue. Smells gorgeous, fresh and herbal... comes in a 50ml plastic jar with a spatula. Great to use immediately before Sirius mask for an "at home facial" followed up with Beta toner then Saturne at night or Orion in the day. Bought a spare already!

Masks -Unlisted Brand - Astrali Sirius Mask
Muzzie 8/13/2006 8:37:00 AM
Sirius is Astrali's clay based regenerative mask that is used alone once a week or so or each night mixed in equal quantities with Saturne ( the night cream) and applied to a combination skin. This helps equalise your skin overnight. Like all the other Astrali's products I love the smell and it really seems to clean your skin quite deeply ( does tingle a little before it dries as a mask) and leave it smooth and even toned. Its a 50ml plastic jar with a spatula to extract it. ( as do all their creams in jars) Can be used by all skin types.

Toners -Unlisted Brand - Astrali Beta Toner
Muzzie 8/13/2006 8:31:00 AM
Beta is the next step in the Astrali skincare routine, the toner. It is brilliant! I adore the smell, the feel and it is good value too. $48 Aust ( as was the Alpha cleanser) for a 250ml bottle. It removes all traces of anything left on your skin but leaves your skin smooth, soft and not at all stripped. Alcohol Free and suitable ( as are all their products) for even sensitive skin. Lots of plant extracts in this one... love it. I have already bought back up Alpha and Beta's as I couldn't bear to be without either now! Made in France by the way.

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Astrali Alpha Milk Cleanser
Muzzie 8/13/2006 8:24:00 AM
This gorgeous smelling milk cleanser is suitable for all skin types and is either tissued off or removed with a damp muslin cloth/facewasher. It contains many soothing plant ingredients and effectively removes makeup inc. eyemakeup easily without leaving a residue( I use a damp muslin cloth) I don't think it could be bettered for a milk cleanser! If you have very oily skin, they do have a foaming cleanser called Dermastryl but Alpha ( being the first step!) suits virtually everyone! It comes in a easy to use navy blue, soft 250ml plastic bottle.

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Astrali - SATURNE regenerating cream
Muzzie 8/13/2006 8:06:00 AM
I recently started using this range too and Saturne seems to be the heart of it! It is very rich in texture ( which is just fine for night) and very soothing...but it makes your skin absolutely glow next morning. I am using the rest of the range too and right now I believe Astrali is the best I have ever tried...and that is from hundreds of other, literally. I have had no breakouts, smoother texture and tone and all of the products, including Saturne smell divine. Not the cheapest, but very worth it. They take 3 mths to make with a biofermentation process and each contain a minimum of 10% natural actives from plant and marine sources. I truly recommend this range!

Scrubs -Trilogy - Gentle Facial Exfoliant
Muzzie 6/4/2006 9:00:00 AM
I have recently started using this range ( wanted a natural based range without so many chemicals) from NZ and I am so impressed with it! This scrub cream is in a moisturising base, very creamy and soft and the jojoba beads are in enough quantity to work ... but not so many that they are scratchy. It rinses off quite easily ( though I used a muslin cloth) and leaves your face feeling really smooth and fresh, not reddened and irritated as some scrubs can. Smells gorgeous too... highly recommend it!

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Missoni
Muzzie 6/2/2006 10:56:00 AM
Oh! I got this about 3 weeks ago ( and the body lotion to match) when it first launched here in Australia for Mother's day....and I really like it! Quite expensive here in Australia with 30 ml being $103 AU up to 100ml being $195 AU ..the body lotion $90 AU ...so it's not cheap! I like the packaging of the EDP very much ( I have the 50ml) and find the bottle nice to hold when spraying, for what it's worth! The body lotion bottle...naaa...not so much, I am not a colour orange fan in any way...and that's all it is a cylindrical orange plastic bottle, however I like the silkiness of the lotion contained and the amount of fragrance it in lasts pretty well on my skin. Pity the lotion bottle looks so cheap and generic. I never detected a "melon" smell .... until I read it in another review and tried "resmelling it" with that thought on my mind and can see what she meant... its the bitter orange and very dark chocolate combined that might be interpreted that way I guess. For me, it's winter here and it's a fragrance that is warm and above all very different than anything else I have ...and is not on every one else... ( or anyone else I know personally at this point )so I am really enjoying it! :-)

Treatments -Mirenesse - Revelation acid serum
Muzzie 4/17/2006 4:58:00 AM
I use Revelation Acid serum once a week... it is a clear chemical exfoliant and it can be left on for varying amounts of time depending on your skin type and strength. It works really, really well! It does tingle ( even a mild sting) a bit but is soooo worth it... leaves your skin looking and feeling renewed next day ( always do it at night). I use Extreme Night serum on most of the other nights and continue the good work. Again... if ONLY it was more than 10 ml and in this case... it has only 1 vial per package so it is very expensive per quantity! Love it though!

Moisturizers -Mirenesse - Night serum extreme
Muzzie 4/17/2006 4:53:00 AM
I have been using this for a few months now, most nights under my nightcream ( or their Powerlift quite often) and I genuinely feel that it has made a tangible difference to my skin. You wake up with smooth, clear and soft skin and gradual mild exfoliation as a major benefit, with no irritation, redness or stinging as some chemical exfoliators do to me. The only thing I would change whatsoever would be to make the 10ml ( though you get 2 x 10ml vials per package) pump container....bigger! That's a bug bear I have with many of their little gold vials... they are toooooo small! Their Powerlift range are larger in size.... hope they carry that notion down to the other parts of the range!

Cleansers -Mirenesse - Foaming cleanser
Muzzie 2/4/2006 5:48:00 AM
As I have oily/combo skin, I find this to be a really good balance between cleansing power/refreshing feeling and softness. It has a pleasant soft orange smell. It foams up well using just a tiny amount which is just as well as it is only a 60ml tube, which is odd for a cleanser ( the Powerlife moisturiser for example, is in the exact same tube which is FINE for a moisturiser). I am starting to realise that they decided to keep the packaging assortment really small for the whole skincare line and just add slightly different words to the outside! Takes foundation off quite well... but I often double cleanse anyway... or use the Bead cleanser after so there is never a residue, just fresh clean skin.

Moisturizers -Mirenesse - Day gel
Muzzie 2/4/2006 5:42:00 AM
I love the texture of the Day Gel... it is so light and non greasy, yet moisturising enough for my combo skin. It is imperceptively fragranced and non irritating just a soft white lotion. I sort of like the packaging ....buttttt... I would prefer a larger container than the 2 x10 ml vials that we get. I realise the airless pump idea and small size is for "product freshness" but it is a miniscule size for something to be used daily all over the face. It is packaged the same size and container as their Eye Essence which is different as it is for the small area around the eyes! The NightExtreme serum and Revelation serum etc are all in the same packaging.... it is very difficult to tell them apart on your cupboard as the writing on them is realllllllllly small! I have to get glasses out!

Powder -Mirenesse - Velvet Skin Minimsing Dual Powder- Velvet Beige Silk
Muzzie 2/4/2006 5:32:00 AM
I love the packaging, it's gold and luxe looking and I appreciate the cover over the pan and like it's velvet sponge.... but I wish it came in a lighter shade. I am fairly pale and it is a definite golden yellow undertone that can look streaky in daylight if I dont blend very carefully purely because I need a lighter shade! The texture is smoothy and buttery for a compact powder and I would recommend it if you are that little bit deeper in skintone than I am as a really terrific powder ( or dry foundation at a pinch for fairly light coverage) to try.
