This product has to be my favorite lush product and its a gift from god. I didn't try this for a 'lotion' effect(though it is alright at that)I bought it because its designed to help relax muscles. This doesn't work amazing after your feet already hurt, but I apply it ever morning before work(Cashier and on my feet all the time) and it prevents 80% of the pain I got without it. I will continue to use it. The only real con I have is that it can change consistency in heat and become a little runny after a while. Meaning if the tub is knocked over it can leak, but putting it in a spot where it won't fixes that.
It moisturizes pretty well but I find it did nothing to help my eye wrinkles(which are from lack of sleep/stress) and didn't help my dark circles in the slightest. This would be good for someone who didn't have natural raccoon eyes, but for me it doesn't help much
Pressed Powders -MAC - Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Light
Musoukakitty 8/20/2012 12:18:00 AM
Gosh what isn't there to say about this product? The fact that my 2$ powder did a better job than it and the only thing Mac had against it was a slightly better color match(which would go somewhat orange pretty quickly Pros - Half decent coverage - Good color match Cons -Was breaking me out for a while and I didn't realize it, the I accidentally passed out in it and woke up to large pimples all over the place. Fun -Turns orange quickly -Doesn't help with oil or shine, which I didn't know I had in the slightest until this product -Expensive -The powder goes on very cake-like despite not covering the same as a very cakey foundation - Settles into lines - When using a brush to pick up the slightest tap onto it quickly sends powder all over my clothes I honestly am seriously upset I didn't keep the receipt and ask out the return policy. Either way my sensitive skin did NOT like this product in the slightest.
BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium
Musoukakitty 5/21/2012 2:03:00 AM
My two biggest complaints about this product is that unlike BB cream(The real stuff) it likes to start out Orange on my skin for one thing and takes 10-20 minutes to adjust to my skin...which is not good on the go. Then on top of that it barely covers anything well its adjusting...so you won't even know how much of it is covering something until you've had it on for atleast 5-10 minutes. It also tends to look very powdery when you set it and if you don't set it it looks extremely dewy. Unlike most products it actually sorta stays on my skin though which is quite impressive...so I'm quite on the fence with it. Another plus to it is that when it does adjust it perfectly matches my skintone which is near impossible considering I am practically white but not white enough to be white...this means with almost every foundation out there...they are all too dark. So this is a 50/50 for me
Honestly I don't use this for anything more than removing makeup on occasion and it barely works for that withing scrubbing. I'm also surprised I didn't break out in cysts considering this has mineral oil as the main ingredient(Why not just buy baby oil with how expensive this is?) I feel this is overpriced baby oil in a cream form, I did break out abit on it, it left a film, was slightly itchy since it left a film, felt odd on the skin and generally bothered me for the whole day. Also my makeup wouldn't stay on too well well using it. Also my face never felt clean either. 2 lippies for sorta being able to remove makeup and being quick.
Blush -New York Color - Blushable Creme Stick in 644U Plaza Pink
Musoukakitty 12/20/2011 3:37:00 AM
This is honestly my favorite blush of all time, quick to apply, easy to blend and can be anywhere from sheer to dark without getting cakey. Actually it looks quite natural and alot of people think I'm blushing when I'm wearing it <3
Hair Styling Tools -Farouk CHI - Chi Ceramic Flat Iron by Farouk
Musoukakitty 11/12/2011 6:27:00 PM
I love this flat iron, I have curly/wavy fine hair that is nearly impossible to straighten with most flat irons. Its to the point that at a salon they've had to actually go over some areas up to 4 times to get my hair straight. But something about this flat iron is just different, after having a lady straighten my hair at a cheap hair cutting place and having her go through my hair effortlessly I noticed it was a chi. Needless to say 5 months later I finally bought one and am very very happy. Smooth and silky hair I can get now.
Treatments -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Vitamin C Vitality Facial Serum
Musoukakitty 11/12/2011 6:23:00 PM
Very very pricy for what you get...this product lasts me a month and I must say I do love it despite that. I stopped having alot of dry skin issues after using this, found myself looking less tired and younger and not to mention my under eye circles looked lighter. I will repurchase but not for the next long while due to the price.
Lip Treatments -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Vitamin C lip balm
Musoukakitty 11/12/2011 6:21:00 PM
Abit expensive but its the only brand that has ever kept up with how severely dry my lips can get...I mean like actually ripping and peeling to the point of bleeding and well...this product cured that issue. Ever since I finished my first tube of this I've never had my original issue and would consider this lip balm one of my HG items. Texture wise I feel its more oily than waxy which I prefer and as an added bonus it makes my lipstick last longer.
Cleansers -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Therapeutic Lavender Facial Wash
Musoukakitty 11/12/2011 6:19:00 PM
This face wash in my opinion is more for normal to oily skin, or acne skin. Its the only thing besides Oxy that has ever helped my acne and I love it...its just a tad too expensive. Overall I think currently I would pick it over Oxy just because my skin is alot drier than it was as a teenager.
Hair -Avalon Organics Botanicals - Therapeutic Lavender Nourishing Shampoo
Musoukakitty 11/12/2011 6:16:00 PM
My HG shampoo and I've never ever had a problem with it. My biggest problem with shampoos is scalp irritation and this is the only shampoo brand EVER to cure my irritation. Yes even other organic brands have nothing on this one. I love how if I accidentally over wash my hair is still stunning and soft. I recently tried switching this up with another organic brand to save a couple of bucks...needless to say the other brand was okay but I'm sticking with this one and probably for the rest of my life.
Only reason I wouldn't repurchuse this is because I prefer another shampoo in their line, but this would be amazing for dry to normal hair. Its definately not stripping and its actually quite moisturizing. Overall very good and it wasn't hard at all for my hair to adjust to organic shampoo.
Treatments -Oxy - Natural Action Acne Treatment Serum
Musoukakitty 11/12/2011 6:10:00 PM
Only spot treatment I can use that won't severely dry out my skin, cause redness and make me break out more. I'll admit its alot slower than most but its done alot for me and keeps my skin looking bright. Also I don't mind the smell which is very noticeably the tea tree oil...pretty much 100% like a light tea tree oil smell.
The only reason I wouldn't buy this product again is because after my teenage years my skin went from severely oily to dry and this would dry out my skin at this point in my life. As a teenager oxy products were the only things that would help my skin without destroying it like Proactiv did. After Proactiv I started getting breakouts under the skin and massive cysts. Oxy's facial washes were the only thing that helped these pimples and if anyone is suffering from acne give one of there face washes a try(Of course the best one suited for your skin type, yes acne can be on dry skin)
Blush -New York Color - Color Wheel Mosaic Powder Pink Cheek Glow
Musoukakitty 11/12/2011 6:01:00 PM
My HG blush no matter how crazy it sounds. Years and years ago I got this makeup pack of cheap makeup and only ever liked one thing, a blush color and when I ran out...well needless to say I was upset. But I found this blush and it was almost the exact same color. I love this blush more than my original and the only downfall is well it fades which I use to my advantage. I always apply it nicely but dark and it stays like that for the morning and then I got this nice natural blush throughout the rest of the day. Which I really like and after it gets to that natural blush color it stays put. I suppose if you didn't like how it faded you could always put a light bit of cream blush/eyeshadow under it to keep it in place.
