Moisturizers -Nivea - Light Moisturizing Day Care
MuddyMocha 7/13/2012 4:18:00 PM
This did wonders for my skin and my wallet whne I used it. First it was cheap and second it was perfect for my skin. I felt like I didn't break out as much when I used but my skin was really soft and smooth looking. I used three tubes which lasted quite a while before I tried a new moisturizer. It's been almost around seven months since I last used this I just haven't posted a review which I thougth I should at least do since I thought it was a good product. I probably wont use this again but not because it's bad in any way. It's just due to the fact that I'm switching over to organic beauty products slowly but surely. But if I ever decided to go back to "conventional" products this would probably be one of the first things that I would buy again.

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Crazy Rumors brand Brew Spiced Chai Lip Balm
MuddyMocha 7/13/2012 4:03:00 PM
I have never tried any of Crazy Rumors lipbalms before but I bought a Brew gift set when I was buying a couple of other things from a webshop and what first caught my attention was that they where tea flavoured and I'm a bit of a tea junkie, second was that they were organic and cruelty free and vegan. I've slowly been trying to switch over to completly organic beauty products over the last 6 months so this was a fun find and a bit of moral boost after some big misses. Spiced Chai is the first one I tried out and first impression I got was: What a wonderful scent, I love cinnamon and cardamom and it smells just like that, it also smells like the Chai Latte from my favorite cafe. I thougt that the scent was a bit strong the first time I opened it but I quickly got used to it and it's nothing that bother me at all, sometimes I acutally just sit and smell it cause it's so wonderful Ingredient wise it's pretty good but also quite simple which I think can be a very good thing sometimes, it contains some very moisturising things like organic shea butter, organic extra virgin olive oil and organic jojoba oil. It also doesn't contain any animal products so it's alright to use if your vegan. When it comes to doing the job: keeping my lips soft and kissable it does it wonderfully. It leaves them quite moisturized and dewy looking. Definately a product that does what it's supposed to do and isn't just scent or flavour.

Cleansers -Nivea - Visage Pure and Natural Cleansing Lotion
MuddyMocha 12/25/2011 8:54:00 AM
The problem that I seem to have generally with cleansing products are that they're to strong for me. So I was asking around at a local beauty store about a mild and really unabrasive product and a woman working there recommended Niveas Pure and Natural Cleansing Lotion. so i have been using this for a couple of months now and it's simply to harsh for me. This made my skin dry and break out in pimples in places I usually don't get them. I only used once a day, usually in the evenings. Now I use it once or maybe twice a week. I'm going to use it til I'm out of product since I'm just thrifty like that but I'm definately not going to buy it again.

Moisturizers -Vaseline - Petroleum Jelly
MuddyMocha 10/20/2011 5:46:00 PM
Before I have only used vaseline sporadically but awhile ago I got second degree burns on my chest and arm. When the skin started to heal I got orders from my nurse to once or twice a day put vaseline on the skin that had started to heal so that the skin is protected and so that the moisture is locked in. The skin on my chest and arm is very supple and soft. I also started to use it on a couple of dry spots on my body they are now soft and nice. So vaseline is of the good and it's dirt cheap! What more can you ask for?

Lip Gloss -Smashbox - O-GLOSS
MuddyMocha 9/20/2011 11:02:00 AM
I love this lip gloss because it's so fun! My sister bought this first and I tried some of hers and I loved it. But it took me a while to get one of my own since the price scared me a little but finally I did it. I know some people seems to get really weird colours from the lip gloss but on me it always looks gorgeous, the shade is not always the same but it always fits. I also have this in Noir which was from the autumn collection and it is a killer when going out in the evening. It becomes a kind of plum colour that really screams evening. But I'm a little bit more careful in applying Noir then I am the regular O-gloss since Noir can turn to dark if I put on to much. but overall I love both of them and will buy it again, but I am always careful not to loose my tubes and I use them till there is absolutely nothing leftm the lube is always flatter then a pancake when I'm finsihed with it.

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Jojoba Oil
MuddyMocha 9/20/2011 10:44:00 AM
I have been using jojoba oil for a couple of months now and I really like it. It doesn't clog pores and it absorbs quickly. Lately I have started to use it a a daily moizturisers. First I use spray a bit of plain old tap water on my face with a fine misted spray bottle and then I either use a cotton ball or just my hand (depends on what I feel like at the moment) to apply the oil, I use it very sparingly, as with argan oil a little goes a long way. It doesn't lay on top of my skin but actually absorbs very quickly so I really like it and there is no oiliness. My skin is really smooth, it's almost ridiculous. I will definately keep on using this and so I will also buy it again. The jojoba oil I'm using at the moment is from Urtekram.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Argan oil
MuddyMocha 9/20/2011 10:01:00 AM
Argan oil is a great little product and it's not something you ever really need alot of so if you buy a small bottle it's going to last you awhile. It works great with my skin and I don't feel that it causes me to breakout. But always make sure your face is properly cleansed before you put any kind of oil on. I've heard people say that it works wonders against wrinkles, personally I can't really comment since I haven't really got any really obvious wrinkles yet but it does soften and moisturize your skin quite well so it could be that it works against the laugh lines and crows feet. It isn't the cheapest oil out there but as I mentioned earlier a little goes a long way. The mest way to use it I think is as a night moisturizer or on a day when your going to be at home, even if it dires into the skin pretty fast those are the time when i feel the most comfortable using it but it leaves the skin feeling wonderfully soft.

Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Strawberry Body Butter
MuddyMocha 9/20/2011 9:44:00 AM
I really hate this product. I got a big jar for christmas one year and to I started to use it but god the texture is icky and weird but worst of all is the smell. It lasted for a very long time on my skin and 5 minutes after I put it on it made me nauseous, I had to go and take a shower to get it of me! So never again especially this product I may try a small jar of another one of their body butters in the future but I'm still a bit cautious.

Skincare - Face -Make Up Store - Skin Serum
MuddyMocha 9/20/2011 9:33:00 AM
I use this as a primer for my make up since it works wonderful. The make up really stays on when i use this, it doen't slide of at all. It's really smooth and goes on without any problem. The packaging is super, I really love the way MUS packaging since it's simple and non-fussy. it's a glass bottle with a pump so there are no dirty fingers contaminating the product! I first learned of this product when I had a session at my local Make Up Store (MUS) which for me was a revelation, it was there that I really discovered make up. I will definately buy this again and use it as a primer!

Gels/Soaps -LUSH - Porridge Soap
MuddyMocha 9/20/2011 9:22:00 AM
I rerally wanted to love this product, since I had heard so much good about it from lots of people, so when I visited a place that actually had a Lush store I bought some. It was a big, big mistake. I usd this in the shower and it really irritated my skin, a got pimples on my chest and lots of red spots (looked almost like a rash). At first I didn't understand what was happening from me but then i realised that the only new thing that I was using was the Porridge soap, so I stopped using it and the problems went away! I was so disapointed. But on the bright side of things, my mother loved it and it worked really well for her so she used up my bit! Isn't it unfair how some products work really well for other people but not for you?

Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - Urtekram - African Rhassoul Clay
MuddyMocha 9/20/2011 9:14:00 AM
I absolutely love rhassoul clay, it's as simple as that, This clay come in small pices so no powder and when mixd with warm water it turns into a thick mud paste. I usually also add 2-4 drops of argan oil to this mixture. I use it in several different way, sometimes as a scrub while in the shower, as a face mask (clay+argan oil+tea tree oil), face scrub+wash, body mask, wash my hair etc. It's an all over product really and it has helped to clear up my skin quite alot. I barely have any blackheads anymore. It kind of lathers, in a slightly odd way when used in the hair, some people will think it's strange and doesn't think that the hair gets clean but it does. I myself hate the lather you get from modern shampoos and shower gels to this suits me quite well. And the scent, can we please talk about the scent! I adore it, it's so earthy and like the previous reviewr said like a rainy autumn day! At the moment I'm not sure if I will buy this again, since I've just started testing powdered rhassoul clay that I bought from this great lady who imports it directly from Morroco. I haven't decided yet but I would definately reccomend Urtekrams rhassoul clay to people I know, it's cheap, it lasts quite a while, it's green and it works!

Blush -Isadora - Perfect Powder Rouge
MuddyMocha 6/15/2011 12:16:00 PM
bought this in a bit of a hurry cause I dropped my regular blush and it when all over the floor. What surprised me most about this blush was the pigmentation, a little goes a long way and the colours are good are in a good range. The price is good because it has lasted me a long long time and I use it almost daily. The packaging is not that exciting but it's not bad either. Overall it's a good product and I will buy it again when I run out of the one I have.

Fragrances -The Body Shop - Vanilla Body Spray
MuddyMocha 5/8/2011 8:23:00 PM
This is my scent and has been since I was in high school. My mother first started to use it and I really loved the scent to I started and I've used it almost daily for years now. I always make sure that I got at least one bottle at home always (I get panicky if I'm close to running out since there is no Body Shop in my town and they don't do post order in my country). The scent it self is absolutely lovely, it is the right kind of vanilla scent. And the reactions I get when I wear it are really great, I've walked in to a store more than once and people go "Ohh, it smells newly baked in here" and they ask "what are you wearing, where can I get it". I also sometimes layer my Vanilla Body Spray with the White Musk Body Spray, I mostly do this if I'm going to a club, bar or on a date. But the result is really great if you ask me. So to sum this up the spray smells delicously newly baked goods, it's also quite cheap and you get your moneys worth. The packaging is practical and it's easy to use. What's not to like? p.s. I've tried other perfumes and body sprays that are supposed to smell vanilla but they all seem to lack something or have to much of something. Only this one seems to fit me (I'm addicted to it i think.) ///EDIT/// I haven't worn it in a while and when I started again I noticed something wrong right away. I have no idea what's happened but this now smells wrong on me. I'm not sure if there is some change in my body chemisty or if my bottles gone of or what but I'm panicking a bit. It's probably not the bottle since it still smelled wonderful on my mother. I'm so frustrated! no I have to try and find a new casual scent and it's going to be a nightmare.

Scrubs -Unlisted Brand - brown sugar scrub
MuddyMocha 5/7/2011 4:14:00 PM
I always make sure I've got some of this in my shower. It's really easy to make and it works. I use all over my body, except for my face for which I use another scrub. My skin is really soft even my feet. I play around with essential oils and stuff to get different scents, some are better and some are worse. But I also use spices, my favorit being cinnamon (and sometimes cardamon) for this scrub and it is the most amazing scent, it's heavenly. So if you haven't tried to make your own brown sugar scrub try it!

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Extra Virgin Olive Oil
MuddyMocha 4/13/2011 2:43:00 PM
The thing about olive oil is that its's so moisturizing and multi-purpose. One of the things I use it for is to moisturize my feet, a couple of times a month in the evening I put plastic bags on my feet and pour som olive oil in the bags and seal them, usually with a hair tie or some medical tape. Then I put on some socks and go to bed and when I wake up in the morning I just rinse my feet and they are disgustingly soft. I do the same wiht my hands only I use plastic gloves and then some mitten over them and go to bed. But I also have a small bottle i the shower and usually when I'm finsished but haven't toweld myself dry I use it a body moisturizer for my whole body. Basically the things I just described I also do with other oils but olive oil is usually the cheapest and a bit of a classic and I always have it att home!
