Palettes -LORAC - Unzipped
rated 5 of 5

I noticed that there were no reviews from dark women on this gem of a palette- let me be the first brownie to say that this is an AWESOME palette! The colors are very pigmented and look really beautiful against brown skin. Because you have matte colors within the palette, you can get a complete look out of this palette- all you need to add is liner and mascara. : ) I used UDPP and the colors stayed on all day until I washed it off that night. The packaging is sleek and would be perfect to throw in a bag while you're on the go. I haven't tried the primer, so no comment on that.

Masks -LUSH - Ayesha Face Mask
rated 5 of 5
MsMaryMAC 5/22/2012 11:44:00 AM

This is a nice mask! It leaves skin hydrated, but tighter than I'd like. This would be good for the person with wrinkle/looser facial skin issues. Thankfully, even at 35 I don't have those issues yet. Whenever I do though, I will pick this up again. :)

Conditioner -LUSH - R&B Revive & Balance Hair Moisturizer

This stuff made my hair feel so nice but the smell was repulsive! I tried to work with it for a few days, but the smell never dissipated. I returned it add the smell made me nauseous. I would've definitely kept out had it not smelled so bad.

Fragrances -LUSH - 25:43

I wish there was an option for "hell no" when asked if I'd buy this again. I loved it when first sprayed on. Out smells like a light citrus smell. Then I smell some other things that mix with the citrus that aren't as goods as the initial smell, but isn't terrible. About an hour after being applied, this stuff became sickeningly funky. It smelled nothing like the original scent. I immediately took it back.

Lips -Sephora - Cream Lip Stain- all shades
rated 5 of 5

I have this in Always Red and I love it! It's very pigmented, is, long-lasting, and isn't too drying. Compared to MAC's Ruby Woo, Always Red is WAY better! My major issue with Ruby Woo was how drying it way- I've since swapped it away. Always Red is what I expected Ruby Woo to be. :)

Polishes -MAC - Peppermint Patti
rated 1 of 5
MsMaryMAC 6/14/2010 11:45:00 AM

So, I love the color in the bottle- it's friggin' gorgeous! BUT for a polish with the brandname "MAC", you should not have to apply SO MANY coats to get the color in the bottle to show up. It goes on streaky and the brush is too small... maybe I'm spoiled by OPI brushes. I found the perfect mint color. It's exactly what I wanted Peppermint Patti to be and cheaper too! The brand is "Brucci" and the name of the color is "Sheri's Pistachio Creme." I found this wonderful polish at a Rite Aid for less than $3. It goes on true to color on the first swipe across your nail. The brush deposits the perfect amount of polish and you are totally done with a perfectly creamy, minty-colored nail on the 2nd coat. Goes to show you don't always get what you pay for. :) I hope this helps everyone who couldn't experience Peppermint Patti first hand. :D

Eye Shadow -MAC - Bright Sunshine
rated 5 of 5

This is my HG yellow! It is super pigmented and not chalky at all! The color does not fade throughout the day either. It shows up so beautifully against my brown skin. Also, it blends like a dream! :)

Eye Shadow -MAC - Blue Calm (PRO)
rated 5 of 5
MsMaryMAC 6/10/2010 10:19:00 AM

I LOVE this color. I had this and Freshwater at the same time. On my skin, they are the EXACT same color. Both are beautifully the same. I swapped the Freshwater (I gave the swapper the option of either shadow) away because I didn't need two of the same color. If you have Freshwater, you don't need Blue Calm- and vice versa. :)

Eyeliner -MAC - Kohl Power Eye Pencil in Feline
rated 5 of 5

LOOOOOVE IT! My fave liner. The blackest and creamiest liner ever! I use on my top lid and waterline... so it smudges- what liner doesn't smudge or fade when using it on the waterline? I love it and I have 4 backups. :)

Hair Styling Tools -Goody - Spin Pin
rated 5 of 5
MsMaryMAC 6/4/2010 8:37:00 AM

I love this product! I have thick bra- strap length hair that is STILL thick ever after a fresh relaxer so these Spin Pins made me nervous just looking at them. They look as if they will get tangled in your hair and never come out LOL They were SO easy to put in AND take out! There was no hair pulling or breakage at all. Just spin one way to get them in and when you take them out, spin them the opposite way (be careful not to pull at them while twisting) to get them out. It's a very simple to use product. I highly recommend these! They don't poke your scalp at all and they are not tight- so when you have them in, it feels like nothing is in your hair at all.

Concealers -MAC - Studio Sculpt [DISCONTINUED]
rated 5 of 5

I really like Studio Sculpt concealer! It goes on smoothly and is buildable. Applying it with the ring finger is best as it will warm up and apply flawlessly.

Concealers -MAC - Studio Finish Concealer
rated 3 of 5
MsMaryMAC 6/4/2010 7:38:00 AM

I love this stuff! It goes on smooth and covers just like it should. You also don't need a ton of it to get coverage and it's buildable too. UPDATE:: I have found my HG concealer: MAC Studio Sculpt! I didn't know any better when I did this review, but the Studio Finish concealer is not as smooth to apply as SS, it doesn't stay as long as SS, and it's not as hydrating to the eye area as SS. Due to finding these things out, I've taken away 2 lippies. It's still good, it's just not the best.
