COLOR: My lips are very pigmented so this wears as a pretty pale nude with pink undertones. May appear slightly different depending on skin tone and type. The hue can easily be customized by using a lip liner and/or gloss of your choice. This is a nude lip color that will flatter most, especially with gloss. Perfect with smokey eyes :) COVERAGE: Beautiful full opaque coverage with only one or two swipes, leaves an attractive satin finish on lips. FEATURES: Applies smoothly with a luxurious feel, long wearing. True to the reputation of NYX Black Label, this feels/looks/wears like a luxury lipstick. No disappointments. Parlez-Vous, good deal ;)

ULTIMATE LUXURY LIPSTICK! Mac Flamingo is truly a phenomenon. Universally flattering on ANYONE regardless of age, skin tone or type. Can be applied sheer or more opaque depending on preference. Saturated color highlighted by a beautiful sheen on lips, Flamingo is stunning. More pink than orange in hue. Applies smoothly and evenly. The modern Mac Lustre finish is moisturizing and quite luxurious. Sadly, MAC does not have a comparable lipstick to Flamingo in their permanent offerings. You may be able to find it on Ebay, but be prepared to bid. The asking price can be close to $100 or more IF one can be located. Is it worth it? That's a personal choice for only you to make, but if you asked me? I'd have to say yes. Flamingo has already become a rare find and remains wildly popular - with a worldwide cult following! And it is no wonder, as this is one of Mac's finest creations.

INEXPENSIVE LUX LIPS Coral Pink #924 is simply fantastic for the price. This is a gorgeous colour... not overly orange and not too pink either. I used the display sample to swatch and quickly realized the likeness to my beloved MAC Everhip. The color, texture, and wear are amazingly similar. It is almost identical in hue to Flamingo as well! This lipstick has substance, a creamy semi matte satin finish and long wear. It feels moisturizing. Worn alone this has great coverage, no feathering or sinking into lip lines. With liner or gloss the possibilities are many. Love it!

Crème -MAC - Mineralize Foundation

RICH CREAMY TEXTURE HOWEVER... Out of the many MAC foundations available, this is the only one described for dry skin types. It hydrates post moisturizer-primer because it is a cream formula, but after awhile settles into lines. :( On the other hand, my MAC Pro Face and Body foundation and MAC Studio Sculpt work wonders, so this will be my travel compact for touch ups.

THIS IS A WINNER - SUITABLE FOR EVERYONE I absolutely love MAC pro face and body foundation. The formula is light and versatile, can be used alone or with other products. It is also buildable to impart just the right coverage according to your preference. I am so impressed with the performance as well. I use this on my entire face ( after moisturizing and primer ) and decolletage. It lasts all day. This is quite suitable for all skin types from oily to dry to combination. I have dry/mature skin and after trying every "anti-aging" foundation out there - this really works for me. :)

Concealers -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles

NOT SUITABLE FOR AGE REWIND COLLECTION I am surprised that Maybelline has this in their Age Rewind collection. This concealer is a liquid, but seems to be a rather drying formula. It settles into lines and lacks performance. Lightly addresses dark circles. Well suited to younger skin that doesn't need much coverage. Twist packaging to move product upwards into the sponge applicator. It worked all of twice, then quit :( Ladies with dry / mature skin, or those who need medium to full coverage - stay away. It is not a good bet for us.

HIGH QUALITY FROM MAYBELLINE - GREAT FOR DRY SKIN Who knew? I am so pleasantly surprised at the wonderful performance of Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Primer! This is a moisturizing gel formula which simply glides on and feels oh so silky. Pores and lines seem to disappear before I apply any concealer or foundation. It's fabulous and beats the more expensive cosmetic counter brands hands down. I really do look fresher and younger using this product ! LOVE IT!

NOT FOR DRY OR OLDER SKIN Just doesn't perform well on dry/mature skin. This is a decent product which is formulated with retinol and does glide on smoothly upon initial application, but it seems to fade away after awhile leaving my face feeling dry with pores and lines becoming more visible. :( For the price I expected more. Interesting fact: Maybelline Age rewind primer works better for my dry/mature skin...at a fraction of the cost.

NOT A GOOD BET FOR MATURE SKIN This is a wonderful selection of Eyeshadow colours but even with moisturizer, eyeshadow primer, correct application and blending techniques; it tends to fade and crease. Doesn't perform well on dry/mature skin, and accentuates lines - unless you use the bare minimum. I personally prefer a lot of shadow though. :( At this price consumers expect more. The sad thing is that my Revlon Colorstay performs better. At a fraction of the cost.

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Rose Aurora lipstick really does make my lips appear fuller and the color is attractive for all skin tones/types! Rose Aurora looks like a gorgeous sparkling mauve on my olive skin tone. Lips feel soft and smooth, even after taking it off. It lightly shimmers, with semi opaque to opaque coverage. Some have reviewed this as a "my lips but better" color. I disagree. This is highly pigmented, it is simply versatile in order to achieve fabulous lips for all. Love it!
