Fragrances -Bond No.9 - Hamptons
rated 5 of 5
MrFragranceReview 8/28/2011 1:15:00 PM

Some think this is a dead ringer for Silver Mountain Water and they'd be very close. The few differences are that Hamptons is more musky, tart, citric and the lime blossom feels like a sharp fresh citrus neroli. Overall, Hamptons has better longevity, projection and is less screechy and metallic. Forgetting comparisons, Hamptons is slightly salty, fresh, tart and tenacious. It does an incredible job of representing the ocean breeze. Highly underrated and a fragrance you MUST test on your skin because on paper it smells very jarring and almost like hairspray.

Fragrances -Tom Ford - Grey Vetiver
rated 5 of 5
MrFragranceReview 4/22/2011 4:48:00 PM

Vetiver has been done countless times before so any new fragrance should bring something new to the table which is a difficult task. Grey Vetiver tends achieves to feel modern and is unique which is quite the feat. This should appeal to people who don't and do like Vetiver since it's a smokey, citrus Vetiver. It's very masculine, lasts all day with moderate projection. It's classy and would be well suited for the office or a formal setting.

Fragrance -Burberry - Burberry London For Men
rated 5 of 5

This is definitely one of my favorite fragrances and definitely one of the ladie's favorites. This reminds me of Thanksgiving or Christmas with the tobacco leaf, port wine and soft woods. It's mature but, definitely likeable where anyone can wear it. The longevity and projections is a bit on the weaker side but it still lasts for quite a while. Although, the opening is the best part of the fragrance so I wish it lasted longer.

Fragrances -Hermes - Ambre Narguile (Hermesessence series)
rated 5 of 5
MrFragranceReview 4/16/2011 6:42:00 PM

Overall this fragrance is best summed up as a gourmand that smells like a cinnamon and fruit pastry. Despite that description it's far more complex and definitely one of my favorites. The amber is this fragrance is more subtle despite the name and each component seems to play a part almost equally. It begins with a strong cinnamon and dried fruit with a background of amber. This fragrance is more about food and if you like gourmands definitely give this one a try.

Fragrance -Thierry Mugler - A*men Pure Malt
rated 5 of 5
MrFragranceReview 4/16/2011 6:36:00 PM

This is everything I like about the original A*Men and nothing I hate. The original had a very strong tar note that I didn't really like all that much. This version doesn't have that and is less sweet and more woody. It has a peaty almost berry like quality to it and smells fantastic. The longevity and sillage aren't as strong as A*Men but, it's definitely still long lasting, just not a complete beast like A*Men is. My only gripe (and it goes for all the Angel series) is the atomizer is horrible. But, this is easily fixed as I simply just cut around the outline where the sprayer is (not cutting it off) and voila, it sprays perfectly everytime.

Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Atelier Cologne - Orange Sanguine
rated 5 of 5

I've been on the prowl for a lovely long lasting fragrance with an orange citrus (tangerine, blood orange, clementine, orange etc) note as the star of the show. Citrus in general tends to be very fleeting or long lasting but, ends up smelling quite unnatural and candylike. I've tried Eau d'Orange Vert, Concentree d'Orange Vert, Heeley Oranges and Lemons, Tangerine Verte, Little Italy, Arancia de Calabria and many others. So far, this is the best natural smelling pleasant orange based fragrance I've encountered that meets the longevity criteria I want. It's mainly the smell blood orange juice, bitter pith and the zest but, is paired well with Geranium, sandalwood and tonka bean. The citrus starts off strong and fades although, maintains the citrus throughout the fragrance with the geranium and sandalwood coming in more. The tonka bean lends a bit of sweetness in it that I really like. I wish it came in a 100 ml since 200 ml is quite large and a big commitment. Over all though, an excellent fragrance that easily invokes happiness.
