This review is for the 2012 re-released EDP in the Les Parisiennes line. This perfume first comes across as extremely sweet with a hint of musk for sophistication. I love it because it's not strong and you won't overdo it. It has typical Guerlain characteristics, wearing off gently and entrancing you with note you just can't seem to define. My only gripes are the sky high price and short staying power. It seems the only thing others will be able to pick up is the top notes. The medium and bottom notes are very sheer.
I have this in PK-3 and RD-1 and there is nothing I can complain about this lipstick. Medium pigmentation just the way I like it with a bright pop of colour. It does have shimmer but is negligible on lips. The formulation gives off sheen by itself without help from shimmer bits anyway. Staying power is outstanding for a drugstore lipstick and it's creamier and stickier than your average l/s. It was definitely marketed towards the Japanese market seeing the sticky texture and asian-oriented colour range. The actual l/s is quite slim and small, making it very cute. Def. a hit product for Asians.
Am I the only one who's not crazy about this palette? I don't use Foxy, Half Baked, Chopper, Snakebite, and YDK at all. They look horrible on me because if the overdone metallic effect. No matter how I try or how I mix they make me look 10 years older and tacky shiny. I am Asian so I am thinking these colours don't work for my eyelid shape. What's left are oring neutrals I easily have better dupes of. MAC eyeshadows stay on longer and are easier to apply. These shadows are really soft. The whole thing is heavy and bulky so I can't carry it around for touch ups either.

Dare I say it? Dupe for Dior Addict Lip Glow. I said it. That's all.
This is the only perfume I have ever finished... And repurchased. Something about the sweetness isn't tacky and you'll never be sick of it.
Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Jorubi - Aloe Vera Gel
MoroccoRed 10/7/2012 1:54:00 PM
This is my secret weapon. My parents have asphalt faces from acne and severe oily skin. By genetics, I am supposed to be ugly. And I almost got there, until I discovered how to cheat nature. I buy a huge tube of jorubi and treat it as a mask. Slather it on my whole face and go to sleep. Next morning after I wash all the dried up gunk off, I have unrivalled, glowing baby skin. It's not cheap for Aloe Vera gel, but it registers as a treatment mask to me and for a treatment mask, it is quite cheap. Nothing comes close to this product. I really feel like I have cheated my acne prone genes with this.
I received a sample and used it for a week. I previously used SKII daily for 2 years, but Genifique has converted me completely. My skin legit looks like baby skin now with a soft glow. I am beyond impressed. It's expensive, but there is no price tag for leaving the house with ZERO base makeup for the first time since I started using makeup. I bought it to improve overall skin health, but I've noticed that the skin around my eyes is less tired looking and my eyes are brighter now! I don't even need to buy Genifique Yeux!! I used a pimple hoop to squeeze out blackheads and that really agitated my skin. I used this overnight and the next day my pores were smaller and completely healed. For reference, I have sensitive Asian skin. Oily and acne prone. Yes, I still get a couple of zits as per normal, but I'm guessing that's just hormones. HG HG HG HG HG
When I look for base makeup I only want one thing: for it to leave my skin like it was before I applied it. Lancome BB complete does not irritate skin, and is light enough for a natural, glowing coverage. powerful SPF 50 guards against UVA and UVB. It is a tad on the sheer side, but if you have already good skin it can enhance your natural glow. It is expensive for a BB, but my skin can breathe while looking dewy with this.
I have three of these. Colour payoff is wonderfully even without need for a base. Long wearing but slightly on the sticky side. The black bottle makes it impossible to figure out how much is left and given how often I tech for these, makes me slightly insecure. Haha. Def a HG bright lippie.Took a lippie off because of the price and insecurity.
A cult favourite, usually a love me or hate me product. To see the effects of this product you really need to have patience. It is a slow and gradual product. It improves overall skin quality and reduces sensitivity of skin, but only with constant use. Using it once or twice will have no effect. I am on my third bottle now. But recently I've discovered Lancôme Genifique and Genifique seems to do this but better and faster.
This is a cult auto product in Japan and I can see why.vdefinitely a must get gloss-balm for winter because of it's strong moisturising properties. But texture is quite thick and sticky like most Japanese glosses and it tends to dry into white stuff at the corner of your lips. I use it for hydration at night and my lips wake up plump and smooth.
Have this is rose and unscented. Initially didn't want to pay SGD $39 for a bottle of WATER, but I sprayed it on my face at the counter and patted in. My face felt so AMAZING after that I just had to buy it. It really gives moisture which sinks in, even through foundation.
Moisturizers -Shiseido - Aqualabel White AC Emulsion
MoroccoRed 8/28/2010 7:22:00 AM
Too sticky for me. Skin becomes oilier after using, and I believe it broke me out. I used the whole AC line and it gave me big angry zits instead and totally spoiled my oil balance.
Lip Treatments -Bloom - Aromatherapy Lip Balm (pot)
MoroccoRed 8/25/2010 12:53:00 PM
Have this in Vanilla. Why the balm itself is pink given the flavour is beyond me. The packaging is cute and chic but getting the balm out is quite a challenge. Lasting power is medium, it dries up after a while, but application is smooth and heals dry lips well. But it looks so cute as a bag staple and the pot is made of glass, so it's sturdy enough. Good as a simple everyday balm (:
Lipstick -BeneFit Cosmetics - Silky Finish Lipstick - Skinny Dip
MoroccoRed 8/4/2009 11:53:00 AM
The colour is absolutely no different from my own lip colour, so this lipstick serves only to even out and enhance natural lip colour. Because it's so neutral and sheer, you can't go wrong with it. Lasting power is awful. But on the plus side it's light and moisturising. The packaging is ok. Nothing special, just a black metal tube with white loops.
