I've been using Directions for nearly 2 years now, mainly the reds pinks and purples. I've recently took the plunge and used Alpine Green its a really beautiful blue based green almost turquoise I find it really easy to use,I bleach my hair to a light blonde rinse out the bleach and shampoo. Then apply the Directions dye,I usually leave it on for an hour or 2,some people leave it on overnight. It is a vegetable dye so doesn't harm your hair the longer its left on,in fact I find it really conditioning and my hair always looks and feels really good condition after use. make sure you rinse it out as much as you can even though it says till water goes clear,I doubt it ever will.Be careful when sleeping and wearing light coloured clothing for first couple of weeks as it can stain. Its also quite long lasting, varies between shades which lasts longer Ive added pictures of 2 of my fave colours Rose Red and Alpine Green.

Ive also got the MUA Heaven and Earth palette which is neutrals browns and golds which is equally good quality. Its such an amazing price too! Ive added a pic and some swatches you can see the lovely shades for yourself.

Polishes -Superdrug - MUA Shade 5
rated 4 of 5

I bought this online recently after seeing a review on a blog.I have a few MUA nail polishes shade 5 is my favourite. Its a lovely minty green colour. Most of the MUA products are only £1 which is cheap as chips,I wasnt expecting much for £1. The bottle is a bit on the small side but for the price cant grumble.I needed to apply 3 thin coats to get the best effect. It has lasted quite well too a little chip on my thumb after 3 days.I recommend the MUA nail polishes excellent value and I love the colour of shade 5.

Treatments -Charles Worthington - Guardian Angel Conditioning Souffle
rated 1 of 5
Moonfaerie 3/26/2010 4:01:00 PM

This is a conditioning treatment.I put it on after washing my hair put a shower cap on left for about half an hour.It was useless did absoulutely nothing to my hair I even had to condition it with regular conditioner after i`d rinsed it out.Don`t recommend it at all waste of time and money, much better off using a Tresemme deep conditioner.

I was lucky enough to receive a massive 100ml bottle as a thankyou for doing surveys and testing products. I really love it its gorgeous,Im a big patchouly fan i used to wear the oil back in the eighties. I agree if your too heavy with it its not nice but a fine misting is great. Its one of those smells you either love or hate and Im a lover !

Hair Color -Unlisted Brand - La Riche Directions in Pillarbox Red
rated 4 of 5
Moonfaerie 3/26/2010 3:19:00 PM

I use this when I can`t afford Special Effects its less than half of the price. Its a really lovely red especially on hair thats been bleached it gives a slight tint to unbleached hair.Ive heard that its good on hair thats been dyed with a permanent red thats faded. It comes in a pot which I find is easier too use than a bottle.I wash my hair first without conditioning as this stops it working as well, apply it to towel dried damp hair cover with cling film or a shower cap and wait,I usually leave for an hour but you can leave as long as you want as its non damaging vegetable dye.The only downside is it stains your pillow cases and towels for about a week.It comes in quite a few shades too Ive also tried the Poppy Red which is gorgeous too a pinky based red. You won`t be dissappointed,it doesn`t last as long as Special Effects but much more than Manic Panic which in my opinion is very over rated.

Hair Color -Amphigory - Special Effects in Devilish

I usually use Directions in Pillarbox Red or Poppy Red thought I`d give Special Effects a try....wow !! This stuff is brilliant !! I bleached loads of pieces all over my hair (I`d used a XXL Red Passion permanent dye before so couldn`t get a really light blonde was more like very light gingery colour).I applied the Special Effects put on a plastic shower cap and relaxed in front of TV for about an hour. The result is a really stunning vibrant unnatural red,a really gorgeous colour,it looks so shiny too.Think Im going to try the Blood Red next. Compared to Directions it is better and lasts much longer. The only thing is it is over twice the price because its hard to get in the UK, and theres only two websites which sell it,I bought mine from beeunique. If you do try it be prepared for stained pillowcases and towels for the first week, after this it should be ok.

I tried this recently with the shampoo,I love it.It smells really good and does a great job on my hair too.My hair has been recently bleached and coloured so is a bit worse for wear.It left my hair feeling really soft and silky and easy to untangle.

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Smudge Eye Sponge
rated 2 of 5

This did the job,but you have to press quite hard and it hurts! When I rubbed it on my hand with nothing on it it left a black mark from the rubber stuff that its made from.It didnt take too long before it broke neither and kept falling out of the end.

I love this,I don`t use it as I should though I add a bit to my moisturiser and sometimes my liquid foundation,it gives it a lovely slight dewy look.
