I have been using this for some time and it has made my lashes longer and thicker. Maybe not as long and thick as a fashion model, but I had noticed my lashes getting thin and short due to the progress of middle age. I don't know how this compares to the higher priced versions, but you can get this for $50 or less, and if you follow directions, use it consistently every night, it should work. It did take about 6-8 weeks before the improvement was actually noticeable, and you have to keep it up.

Polishes -L.A. Colors - Green Satin

I know very little about this brand except that it is very inexpensive. Their Green Satin was being touted as a dupe for the Chanel Jade. Although I am not able to compare, I must say I love this color. It is the light mint green that is so popular now, and is one of those colors that makes me look at my nails frequently during the day. I am so glad that I bought it (and shelled out the big $1.75 for it, ha!) The only downside is that it really needed 3 coats or else it would be a bit streaky. I suppose that is common with the lighter colors.

Powder -Bare Escentuals - Bare Minerals Foundation #2

After getting eczema and allergic reactions from everything else, I was very happy to find this stuff. It took some tries to apply it correctly, which is probably just me. I can wear it every day without problems. It gives a soft appearance to my face, which I like. It has no scent, which I really like. I don't use any other brand of foundation now.

Polishes -Essie - Hard To Get

This is from their Spring 2008 collection. Like the others in this collection, it is a light color. You could call it a bubblegum color, or the color of a pink candy heart. It is meant to be opaque and requires 3 coats. It cannot be worn as a sheer as it is too streaky.

Polishes -Borghese - Mediterranean Coral

I can't find many swatch pictures of Borghese colors, although this brand is widely available in my area. The formula is nice. My problem with this color is that it looked different on my nails than in the bottle. It had a pinker tinge in the bottle, and was more orangey on my nails. I don't even know how that could actually happen. Even holding my nails next to the bottle, it was different. I like my coral to be more pink than orange.

It looked so pretty in the bottle. When I put it on top of a color, it just looked like specks, not glittery like I hoped. I don't want to have to put 3-4 coats of a glittery top coat on top of my already 2-3 coats of color just to get some glitter going. I'll rate this a "meh".

I bought a large selection of these from a Hong Kong seller on eBay, and could not find anyone else's review on these. I guess it is supposed to be similar to the Nubar 2-way pen, which I have been too stupidly cheap to buy. The Nail Star is undoubtedly the cheapest, but I have to say it doesn't dot at all well, and sometimes not at all. The striper is always thick, as compared to Art Club and Stripe Rite (which I also have). Also, the glitters are not as opaque as the other brands, in that they don't show up as well. It was neat to get so many fun colors for such a low price, but I find that you get what you pay for, apparently, and will not buy this brand again.

The application went very well for this polish. It did chip after only two days. It is an office appropriate color. I was a little surprised when I first received it, since Zoya was calling this "apricot". There are no apricots this color. It is a medium-light mauve creme. My picture makes it look more pinkish, but it is really a mauve. It is nice, but not super exciting.

I have gotten a rash from just about every brand of deodorant out there, including the gentle, the unscented, whatever, and not just after I shave. This is the one product that doesn't give me a red itchy rash. It also works as far as eliminating odor and wetness. It is expensive, but if nothing else is working, I would recommend this one.

Scrubs -Clean & Clear - Blackhead clearing scrub

I really like this product and it perhaps is not accurately titled. I have no blackheads and do not use it for such. It is a wonderful skin smoothing scrub, and does not dry out my skin. I have been buying it for some time now. I like it better than most higher-priced scrubs. I have also used it on my arms for the dry patches. I really like it.

The first time I used this shampoo, I thought it was a miracle. My hair was shiny and smooth as glass. After a couple of uses, my hair was so weighed down by the residue (my hair hung down like a wet blanket) I had to stop using it. I tried a clarifying shampoo, but I really needed to clarify my hair for at least a week or two before I got that residue out. You really cannot use this shampoo twice in a row, and perhaps it is best to only use it once a month, once a year? I will always have the memory of that first time, but will not purchase this again.

Shampoo -Alterna - Ten Shampoo

I generally don't prefer a salon brand over the drugstore brand of shampoo, because they never seem to be any better. This one is different. It really makes my hair soft and silky, without leaving a residue. It is my favorite, but I don't use it every time because the price is ungodly. But it is great.

I have been using this product for over a year, and I really like it. I like the fact that it has no scent, no taste, no color. There is nothing gooey about it, and if you don't apply it too thickly you can apply other lip color on top of it. I like that it is not in a pot, so I don't have to smear my fingers in it. I probably have about 5 of these in my purse and in drawers around the house, and in my desk also. My fave.

I have been using this product for a couple of years now. The smell is not great, but it goes away quickly. I use it at night. It works well on my dry skin and helps to keep it soft and smooth. I wish it were cheaper, but it does the best job of anything I have tried.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lip Gloss (general)

I like this brand because of the consistency. I don't like anything too gooey or too runny. They come in some nice basic color choices. Often I wear them over a long-lasting lip color instead of the clear gloss that comes with them.
