Sunscreen -Unlisted Brand - Elta MD UV Clear SPF 46

This is the only sunscreen I have yet to find that does not break me out. For this reason alone, I love it. It does contain niacinamide, which not everyone can tolerate; but my skin does well with it. I don't find it drying nor moisturizing. The finish is slightly shiny, but a little powder takes care of that. Packaging is an awesome airless pump; only con is that I have no idea how much is left. I am still searching for a waterproof sunscreen for beach days, but this works beautifully as my daily sunscreen for incidental exposure.
My review is based on samples I purchased of the IT base. The golden medium was a perfect match for me, but that's the only thing I liked about this foundation. It settled horribly into my smile lines no matter what I tried. As the day went on, the coverage became really patchy. I do not think this is suitable for oily skin.
Foundations -Meow Cosmetics - Pampered Puss Mineral Foundation
Mom2Free 5/10/2013 1:29:00 PM
I absolutely love this stuff! I have tried Bare Minerals, Everyday Minerals, Signature Minerals, Lucy Minerals, and Lumiere. This is my favorite by far. Pros - does not break me out, looks very natural, feels like you're not wearing anything, LOTS of shade options, they sell samples, it does not settle in fine lines, lasts throughout the day Cons - shipping takes forever, products have cutesy cat names which is just annoying, no locking feature on foundation jars so not travel friendly, so many color options it may be overwhelming at first If you want full coverage, this is probably not the one for you. Personally, I prefer light to medium coverage and this fits the bill. I have and will continue to repurchase.
Moisturizers -Paula's Choice - Skin Balancing Moisture Gel
Mom2Free 5/1/2013 8:42:00 AM
While Paula's Choice was having free shipping on everything, I ordered a bunch of samples of different products to try. So my review is based on a sample. I didn't run the ingredients through cosdna before I purchased the sample or even before I put this on my face. That was my mistake. I saw it contained wheat germ oil; my skin generally does not like oils, but I patch tested it anyway. When I broke out on the patch of skin I applied this on, I tried another patch test on a different area of my face just to be sure. Yup. This breaks me out. I did eventually run the ingredients through cosdna, and wheat germ oil ranks a 5, so I am assuming that was the culprit. The texture was oilier than I expected. I did like how quickly it sinked into my skin. And although broken out, the patches of skin I tested this on were moisturized. If you're not acne-prone or clog-prone with normal to oily skin, I may recommend this. But if you are acne-prone, I would NOT recommend this at all.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Neutrogena Deep Clean Cleanser Cream

I am writing my review after using 2 bottles of this cleanser. I love that it doesn't irritate or dry my skin out at all. It contains few ingredients, which I also like. When I used this, I used it with my Olay face brush and my skin did clear up a fair amount. But on its own, I wouldn't say it deep cleans. It definately does not remove makeup and leaves a slight film after rinsing. Overall, I really did like this product when I was using it and so did my skin. My main gripe is that it has menthol in it. The menthol does not irritate my skin or anything; I just do not like the cold, tingly feeling of it. I have since switched cleansers, but who knows. I may return to this down the road.
I tried this mascara years ago and didn't like it, although I couldn't remember why.I decided to give it another chance when an Ulta opened here and this mascara was on sale for $2. It was a waste of $2. The mascara doesn't clump at all on me and I do like that. BUT it does NOT hold a curl. At all. It is, in fact, the anti-curl. It immediately takes the curl out of my lashes. This is a huge dealbreaker.
Cleansers -Aveeno - Positively Radiant Skin Brightening Daily Scrub
Mom2Free 4/15/2013 4:49:00 PM
This scrub is very gentle and I really like that aspect of it. The scrub particles are small and sparse; the base has a gel consistency to it. It does not break me out; in fact, my skin became fairly clear while I was using this as my morning wash. (But this could also be attributed to other products I was using). I really liked this product and would repurchase except I have stopped using products with sulfates on my skin or in my hair.
So many people seem to like this product; I had to try it. I knew that a couple of the ingredients are not good for acne prone skin, but i patch tested it on my face anyway. Good thing I just did a patch test because it breaks me out! As a body lotion its pretty good. I *love* how quickly it absorbs into the skin. I also love how it is fragrence free and truly has no odor to it. It moisturizes well, but I find Curel more moisturizing. I think I will continue to purchase Cerave for the spring/summer months and repurchase Curel for the winter.
Lotions/ Creams -Curel - Ultra Healing Daily Moisture Therapy Lotion

I lotion every morning after I get out of the shower and have gone through too many differenet kinds to count. This one is one of my favorites so far. It truly keeps my skin moisturized all day, which is something I can't say for many. To me, its slightly greasy at first, but does absorb into the skin. I've never used it on my face, but I will repurchase it for my body.
Conditioner -Alberto Vo5 - Kiwi and Lime Squeeze Clarifying Conditioner
Mom2Free 3/18/2013 3:17:00 PM
I would not recommend this for use as a regular conditioner, but for co-washing, this is perfect for me! My hair is very fine with oily roots and slightly dry ends. I first tried the Suave Clarifying Conditioner as a co-wash, but even that left my hair pretty greasy by the next day. So then I tried this and it is perfect! It leaves my hair clean, shiny, and bouncy! Even the next day, my hair is still not greasy (which is something I have never experienced, even with regular shampoo/conditioner). You can get a bottle for under $1, so you have nothing to lose!
Primer/ Corrector -Meow Cosmetics - Premier Puss Primer Combo
Mom2Free 2/22/2013 8:44:00 AM
I really love this stuff. I've never tried a liquid primer because I am acne prone and they typically have comedogenic ingredients. This is a powder primer with few ingredients, so I ordered a sample when I ordered my foundation samples. It is light and comfortable to wear, controls my oily areas, does not cause breakouts for me, makes my pores slightly less noticable, and makes my mineral makeup last longer. I didn't realize how awesome this stuff is until I ran out of the sample. It truly makes a difference for me, so I ordered the full size. Packaging is meh. I wish it had a locking feature so it was travel friendly. If you have combo oily to oily skin, I would recommend this. It is not for thoe with dry skin.
Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips lip balm in Grape Vine
Mom2Free 2/22/2013 8:33:00 AM
Meh. This product isn't for me. When I use it, I get little breakouts around my mouth. To me, the color is as if I ate a grape popsicle and then slathered lip gloss over my purple tainted lips. I do like the color, but the finish is a little to shiny for my taste. I agree with others that it is not very moisturizing and you do have to reapply often. So, while this may not be for me personally, it seems most others like it. For $3, I'd say its worth a try, but I will not repurchase.
Cleansers -Giovanni - Purifying Face Cleanser (D:tox System)
Mom2Free 2/15/2013 1:30:00 PM
I really liked that this was sulfate free and foamed gently. I felt like it really cleaned my skin without stripping and rinsed away easily. I did not like that this broke me out pretty bad within a week. Such a shame. If you're not clog prone, I might recommend it as I did really like it at first. But my skin does not like one of the ingredients in it. I suspected the vitamin e (tocopheryl acetate) because when I tried to use vitamin e oil around my eyes before, it gave me weird bumps. Skin care board also advised me that the extracts in it could irritate and lead to a breakout. Obviousily it works for others, but sadly it did not work for me. =(
These are pretty impressive. I bought them on a whim because CVS was having a great sale and I love them! These eyeliners apply easily and stay on ALL DAY.
Cleansers -Cetaphil - Dermacontrol OIl Control Foam Wash
Mom2Free 2/3/2013 3:29:00 PM
I received a coupon in the mail to try this product for free, so I picked it up from Wal Mart. I introduced this into my skin care routine as my morning face wash, so I don't know how well it removes makeup. It comes out as a foam and rinses clean. However, as with many of the other reviewers here, this product broke me out. For me, I think it was the castor oil in it. That would also explain why the OCM did not work out for me either. So at least now I have identified an ingredient my skin can not tolerate.
