BB Cream -L'Oreal - Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream
Mollybad 3/22/2013 11:49:00 AM
I just put this on my face because it came as a product sample, and after living with it awhile and reviewing the comments here, I have a theory: this stuff is just self-tanning cream with a lotion mixed in. Why else would it 1) be so greasy, 2) turn orange, 3) smell the way it does, and 4) feel so yucky on the skin? No thanks; going to wash it off now. What a sham/shame.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Oil-Free Moisture Sensitive Skin

Someone tell me how a product that has "petrolatum" (i.e., from the root word, "petrol") in it can be labeled "oil free," or how a product with so many parabens in it can be labeled "for sensitive skin"? I tell ya -- these cosmetics company are getting away with FAR TOO MUCH false advertising and hazardous-product promoting! It disgusts me.

I'll definitely buy again for my girlfriends; you only need one as you don't use this product up. I got one of these online after seeing a review on YouTube and thought, "What the heck?" It was $8 bucks or so not bad. It's a white plastic palette just like those you see in art-supply stores but the little wells are made for mineral makeup powders and the brushes you use. It comes wiht a little plastic stick thingy for mixing your powders, and a red drawstring bag for storage (or for other uses. I usually leave my MInerals Mate palette out on the counter because I use it every day). Anyway, since I've used it I honestly don't know why the big names in mineral makeup don't have these! It's really handy for using with minerals. Oh, and if you're saying you'll just go get a cheaper one from the art supply store, be careful because I tried that and the wells aren't right for your brushes and some have those little plastic nicks in the bottom of them that you can damage your brushes on. it's where in the manufacturing process, I guess, the machine stops? I have no idea but the Minerals Mate palette doesn't have nicks anywere. It also has a place to use to wash your smaller brushes and where you can put your thumb when holding it. PRetty cool idea. sorry for the typos but I'm writing with a big fluffy cat in my arms!

It took me awhile to appreciate this mascara, but after I slept in it one night and my lashes didn't stick together, I was pretty darn impressed!

I love the bottle but also like the suggestion to cut it in half later on and get more out of it! Great primer.

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Bye-Bye Blemish - Drying Lotion

Here's a NEW TIP for using this product!!! I discovered it last night. Ever get those zits that you think one day might be "winding down" (despite your still-raw, red skin) but, yet again, they just puff right back up again, with an ugly, painful and unpoppable crusty knot? AUGH!!!!! Well, I put a moderate dab of BBB on some of these hard-to-get-rid-of zits last night -- and let it dry. THEN... ... I put a tiny dab of A&D Ointment on the pink blob -- just enough to wet it -- and I couldn't believe what I saw this morning. No drying. No peeling. No pain. No swelling; it was a match made in heaven, these two working together. Don't get me wrong -- the sebum is still in there; I can feel it with my fingers. But the SKIN is amazingly soft and less red or flaky, or painful. Very interesting result and will be doing it again tonight before hitting the sack. But first I'm ordering my second bottle of BBB!

Cleansers -Unlisted Brand - Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face Wash
Mollybad 1/23/2010 9:53:00 PM
I think this stuff ROCKS! Honestly, at about $3 a tube you can't beat the price, but what's most impressive is that the stuff WORKS to clean your face and leave it feeling soft. It has been a godsend for me. I had a HORRIFIC, perhaps allergic reaction to something more commercial recently (like another poster here, I had been using so many different things I can't really know if it was an Aveeno lotion or a Paula's Choice cleanser), but this stuff CALMED my skin after that 13-zit disaster. Now, no flakes but no oily feel, either. (I guess neem isn't an oily oil?) As for the zits, this cleanser, I think, is helping them shrink, slowly but surely (and without scars). Funny how some people say it doesn't foam well; I think it's fine. Just wet your fingers first or put more water on your face as you go. I do wish the tube had better packaging. Not sure where the flip-top is that someone here mentioned; what I bought had a screw-on cap. I might dump out my more expensive CRAP and fill their nicer pump bottles with this near-perfect green stuff.

Moisturizers -Aveeno - Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer spf15

Good grief! How this product has ANY positive ratings is beyond me. I had JUST cleared up my face completely -- I mean, it looked GREAT -- with a strict anti-acne regimen, so it was time, then, to start moisturizing because my clarifying program made my skin a bit flaky. Well, with just ONE USE of this crap, I woke up with FIVE -- count them, FIVE -- huge, active zits and little red pocks all over my face! Will use the rest of the new bottle on my feet. MAYBE!

Treatments -Paula's Choice - Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Gel Exfoliant
Mollybad 10/20/2009 1:01:00 AM
Price increase warning: Paula's Choice has significantly raised the prices of its product samples while SIGNIFICANTLY reducing their size. If you're thinking about taking these with you on a trip, then you'll pay a LOT for that luxury. It's terribly disappointing. I could see raising the prices on the same-size samples, but to then make the samples SO MUCH smaller (from 4.4 ml. to 1.77 ml., for example) is just agonizing. It's such a greedy move.
