I apply powder everyday with this brush, and I can't help but buy backups even though there has not been a single hair shed by it. It's dense and soft, I love the feeling of it when I put on my makeup in the morning. Now I can't imagine ever replacing it with another product, especially at the cheap price of three dollars. It's definitely a steal!
Treatments -Clairol - Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship Leave-In

Absolute love for this product! I got this as a bonus when I bought the Long Term Relationship shampoo, and since then I cannot do without it. I'm going into my 8th month without a trim, and there is not a single split end in my hair. My friends even notice how good my hair looks and comment on its lovely smell, all thanks to this. I use one pump to rub through my ends after I wash my hair, and the scent stays throughout the entire day. Definitely an essential for me now, I plan on repurchasing over and over again.
Not one of my favorites. I was actually quite excited to try this, because applying lashes to myself took forever with my small asian eyes and I was hoping that this would give me the very full lash effect without wasting a lot of time. Boy was I disappointed It clumps, flakes, and takes so long to get off. Did not hold a curl well either. It was a pretty cheap mascara, but definitely not going to repurchase.
Eye Shadow -E.L.F. - brightening eyeshadow quad - drama
MochaChocolatte 11/4/2010 3:20:00 PM
I have to admit, I did love this quad when I first bought it for a dollar. At my first use I was amazed by the quality that can for such a cheap price. After reading other reviews, I realized all the positive reviews only compared the price to the quality instead of writing anything about the shadows themselves. After trying the quad out a few times, here's my breakdown: White shadow: not well pigmented, the highlight is only visible up close. Dark grey: not pigmented at all, it's practically all glitter. Black: not even black, more of a grey. Light grey: again, mostly glitter and barely any color. Overall, the shadows themselves give a lot of fallout. The quad itself is really tiny, its about the size of half my palm. In my opinion, it's better to save that dollar for a candy bar or a better quad.
Mascara -E.L.F. - Studio Line Waterproof Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara
MochaChocolatte 6/30/2010 10:44:00 PM
First of all, the mascara packaging is small and holds hardly any product. Separating your lashes with this brush is impossible, because it has bristles that are too far apart. This also irritated my eyes and flakes so much. Not waterproof at all. I will not be repurchasing.
I try new products for my skin every so often, but I keep going back to this one. It removes all the dirt and makeup on my face after I have my rough days, and leaves my skin soft and fresh after my morning wash. My skin was incredibly dry and patchy before I started using this, but ever since I grabbed this off the shelf at Target for about $5, my skin has been better than ever!
This chapstick has become a part of my daily routine now. It doesn't feel waxy or greasy, and it makes my lips smooth as soon as I apply. This lasts a lot longer than any of my other lip balms or glosses from other brands, so I don't have to reapply as often as I used to. I have very chapped lips, but with this moisturizer they feel amazing.
Let me just say, this product is made for people with super thin lips. The slim tube is not that fast for moisturizing my thicker lips, and I am just saying this because personally I just want a lip balm that i can apply in a swipe or two and be done. I cannot do that with this, so the only real downer is the packaging. Also the twister at the end is too easily turnable, so when i put it in my bag it twisted all the product and it got stuck to the cap, so I had to take the time to clean it up and cut off the top of the stick, which just made me want to throw it out and get a new one. The formula however is great and It moisturizes my lips well. I just wish that the company would create a thicker tube for people with thicker lips.
Cleansers -Equate - 3-1 Facial Cleansing Towelettes

These towelettes are so cheap and they contain so many in the package, I have to say that when I saw them I really didn't expect much from them. I took the chance to buy them though because of the reviews, and I think I'll buy two more packages when I go back to WalMart. I love these. They're so easy to use, they take off all my makeup, including my waterproof mascara. I usually use one daily, but if I have quite a bit of makeup on, let's say for a special occasion, I use one for removing makeup and another to cleanse my face. My skin feels very clean, moisturized, and soft after using these cloths and I am quite impressed by Equate.
This product has so much staying power, I am truly amazed by ELF. I wore this to a party yesterday, applying it on top of my lash line at about noon. At the party I got thrown into the pool, wrestled with my friends, went biking and skateboarding, and I stayed until 11, without ANY of the eyeliner coming off. There was a little bit of smudging nearest to the tearduct, but it was barely noticeable and it happens no matter what eyeliner I use because of my watery eyes. Most of it did not budge throughout my day, and I received many compliments from my friends and asking where I got my makeup. I am very amazed, and I don't think I will need to buy any of those expensive eyeliners if this dollar one is around. However, I don't know how long it will last me, because the packaging can't exactly tell you when to go out and buy a new one. Nonetheless, this is my new favorite eyeliner.
Mascara -Maybelline - Great Lash Mascara Waterproof
MochaChocolatte 4/30/2010 11:51:00 PM
This mascara is not that great for my lashes. It does nothing to separate them, if anything it seems like its sticking them together with its bristles. I like the fact that the small wand was able to coat my inner lashes easily however. The formula does not hold a curl at all and barely looks like my lashes are thicker.
For dry skin, this product would look like you spread chalk on your face, but if you moisturize well or you have oily skin then it can do great for you. Very easy to use, just swirling a powder brush over the whole palette and buffing it onto your face will neutralize any discoloration you may have. You can even get a concealer brush and pack a little bit of color onto blemishes to fade them a bit after you cover your face. I highly recommend it for quick everyday use if you just want to even out your skin tone.
Let me just get right to the point: I strongly dislike this product. When I saw the applicator in the packaging, I noticed that it was a little bulkier than usual, but I decided to purchase it anyway because of all the hyper about how amazing it was. Big mistake. Right after I unscrewed the cap on the tube, I got a whiff of the awful smell of the product. I began using it on my lashes, but it was impossible to coat the inner and the bottom lashes because of the large wand. Now if neither of these complaints would affect you, then you may not have any problems with this mascara. The mascara separates lashes well and is pretty thick (I noticed that the wand looked much fatter after I put the applicator in the tube and coated it with the product).
Eyeliner -Milani - Liquif'eye Metallic eye liner pencil -black
MochaChocolatte 4/30/2010 11:11:00 PM
This eyeliner is a must-have in my collection now! I have tried a pretty good amount of drugstore eyeliners, so this is saying something. I have the the Milani Liquif'eye Metallic eye liner pencil in black, and it is by far the darkest and creamiest pencil i have ever seen. I just wore it through my dance practice and performance today and looking in the mirror afterwards, it was just as black as I put it on this morning! I was quite impressed, considering there was barely any smudging and I only did one touch up with a Q-tip before practice. I give this eyeliner 5 lipsticks and 2 thumbs up!
