Brows -Anastasia Of Beverly Hills - Brow Wiz

WOW. I love this product. I am indian and have light/natural black eye brows. Throughout the years I have noticed them thinning a little bit, especially since I started getting them threaded. I stopped getting them threaded (mainly because I haven't found a good lady to do them since I moved) so now I just pluck my brows, trim them, and use this brow wiz to fill them in. I use the color Ebony and its a perfect, natural match. It glides on so smoothly and isn't very harsh. I don't use anything else afterwards, just the spooly to comb them into place and wow what a difference. I am also a drugstore makeup user, so paying 23 bucks for this was difficult, but my goodness was it worth it. I will definitely be purchasing again. A+ I also found that with more defined eyebrows, it eliminates the need for me to wear as much eyeliner/eye makeup. One day I spent the entire day outside in humid miami heat, and there was no smudging/movement and my brows still looked great by the end of the day.

Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous in Pink Pop
rated 4 of 5
Missyboo1287 3/20/2013 9:14:00 PM

I have been into pink lipsticks lately, but I have yellow undertones and most bright pinks are very blue based and look horrible on me. My solution is more sheer washes of bright color. This gloss gives a beautiful brightish pink color on my lips without being too dramatic. I can wear it to work and it is definitely appropriate. One caveat though is that I am not really a gloss person, I hate the stickiness on my lips, so that I am not a fan of, but it was so gorgeous in the tube I couldn't resist. Pretty good buy. I can't say I would use it enough where I'd run out, but you never know!

Eyes -Revlon - Photoready Eye Primer + Brightener
rated 4 of 5
Missyboo1287 3/20/2013 9:10:00 PM

I just picked this stuff up to put on under my concealer. I brighten up my undereyes (in a triangle surrounding my nose and then cover it with concealer. It seems to last ALL day. I didn't expect it to last so long, but when I went to take my makeup off 14 hours later, it was still looking beautiful. It gets rid of my dark undereyes (or helps at least since I wear it under my concealer) but it works better than when I use my concealer alone (I use Hard Candy Glamoflauge). I haven't used it too much as a highlighter but it would be great for that as well. Overall I am impressed and I will probably repurchase. One thing I didn't like was the applicator, but the consistency is a little liquid-like so I don't know how else they could package this without making it have a messier application. overall, good find!

Styling Products -Aussie - Heat Protecting Shine Spray
rated 5 of 5
Missyboo1287 1/11/2013 12:48:00 PM

I picked this up because it was dirt cheap and I ran out of my beloved Chi Iron Guard heat protector. I have typical indian hair- dark, dry and prone to split ends. I am trying to grow my hair out more so that means the least amount of heat styling as possible. My current routine is that I wash my hair once every 4 days (it's dry so doesn't get too oily) and I only blow dry at the roots and let my ends air dry. the next day I straighten my hair once and try really hard not to straighten it until my next wash. I let my mom have my CHI iron guard (15 bucks per bottle) and couldn't allow myself to buy another one since it is so expensive. I picked this up at Kroger for less then 3 bucks on sale and came home and straightened my hair! I have to say, I am surprised. It smells very good, and does add shine to my hair as it protects (i hope ;)). I spray it onto my hair brush and then brush my hair after I divide it into sections and then straighten. I haven't tried this on wet/damp hair yet so I wonder how it would make my hair feel then, but as for using on dry hair, my hair is soft and shiny :) I just hope it doesn't make my hair get oily quicker because I don't want to have to increase my frequency of washing because of this. Other than that, I am satisfied and I would probably buy again, esp for less than 3 dollars :)

Top/Base Coats -Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat
rated 4 of 5
Missyboo1287 12/18/2012 1:12:00 PM

a little pricey, but dries polish so quickly that I don't care. It doesn't make polish last very long though which is annoying since I work in the hospital and wash my hands every two seconds. It kind of tugs at the top of the nail polish within a day causing shrinkage if you will, but since it dries so fast, and since I do not have time to paint my nails and wait a whole day for my polish to dry, I'd say this is pretty awesome. I would probably re purchase, and since I like to change my nail polish regularly, it works for me! It also smells like crap, but leave a nice shiny finish which I love. Much better than sally hansen's top coat!!

Lip Treatments -Jack Black - Intense Therapy Lip Balm spf 25
rated 5 of 5
Missyboo1287 11/27/2012 12:11:00 PM

LOVE this product. I got the mint one and it feels so nice and tingly on my lips. No taste and really makes my horribly dry lips feel great. I do apply it multiple times a day which is probably why my current tube is half way gone! This is much better than rosebud salve in my opinion- rosebud feels great on my lips but after it disappears it makes my lips dry and cracked. Jack black's lip balm doesn't do that at all. It isn't TOO expensive, but definitely more pricey than regular old chapstick at 7.50 a pop. I will definitely buy again and this is my go-to from now on!

BB Cream -Garnier - BB Cream Miracle Skin Perfector - Light/Medium
rated 1 of 5
Missyboo1287 11/27/2012 12:08:00 PM

Looks great. Makes my skin look nice and dewy, but doesn't last more than a few hours, smells HORRIBLE, and is pretty sheer. It is something I use if I have to run errands on the weekend and need to look a little more refreshed, but def. not something I use everyday. It would be better if it didn't smell so bad though, I can smell it even after it has been sitting on my face for a while. I know it must be strong if I am complaining because usually makeup smells do not bother me at all. This one does. I will stick to my Revlon Colorstay whipped foundation for daily wear, and will just use this if I need to run out for a few hours and don't feel like putting on a full face of makeup. Will definitely not repurchase.

Crème -Revlon - ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup
rated 5 of 5
Missyboo1287 6/28/2012 4:06:00 PM

WOW I love this stuff!!! I am usually a Revlon Colorstay user in normal/dry skin. The only thing I don't like about that foundation is that it settles in the lines of my face. the area around my mouth is slightly darker than the rest of my face and I am been searching for a foundation that makes my skin one even color and this is it. I love the creamy consistency of this makeup and you really don't need much at all per use. I made the mistake of dipping my finger in twice the first time I used it and It was way too much. I think it's expensive, but if it works I am willing to pay for it with coupons/deals. I think it is much better than the regular CS foundation and it lasts all day. Would definitely recommend. A+ Please don't discontinue Revlon!!!

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Colour Riche Le Gloss
rated 5 of 5
Missyboo1287 6/28/2012 3:55:00 PM

I own this now in 3 colors. Pink Amethyst, Really Rose, and Raspberry splash. Really Rose is the one I got first, its probably like my lips but better, very classy and looks great for work, a rose/mauve color without sparkle. I absolutely love it. I just bought Pink Amethyst which looks so pretty in the tube and I was hoping it would look just as good on, and it does. Its brighter, but its a great color/pink that is nice if you want a subtle pop of color without being too over powering. Raspberry splash is like a darker bright berry which if applied sparingly looks nice. It's probably my least fav as I don't reach for it too often. Anyways, I am not a lipgloss person, in fact I hate the feeling of it on my lips but I don't mind these at all and I keep going back to them. I guess they are like a grown up version of lip gloss. They arent sticky at all which is what I like about it. The packaging does suck though, I like the tube but all the writing scrapes off so fast so I forget the names of the colors!

Shampoo -Clairol - Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Moisturizing Shampoo
rated 4 of 5
Missyboo1287 12/18/2011 8:57:00 PM

My dad randomly picked this up for me when I told him I ran out of shampoo and asked if he could pick some up for me. wow, he has good taste! I have long relatively thick indian hair and while I love having big, voluminous hair, it sometiems gets dry. I probably wouldnt re-purchase for that reason, it does tend to weigh my hair down the 2nd day (i cant wash my hair every day) but it smells so amazing that even my new boy toy can't get enough. I have never been so complimented on the way my hair smells and the smell tends to last a couple days. based soley on that, i will definitely re-purchase!

Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - Mega Eyes Creme Eyeliner - Black
rated 5 of 5
Missyboo1287 3/30/2011 12:51:00 PM

WOW. is all i can say! I used stila smudgepot until now, and even have tried MAC fluidline a couple years ago and this stuff beats them both! I bought it after reading reviews online because my Stila smudgepot dried out and I found myself having to heat it up with the heat from my hairstraightener just to use it. This stuff is amazing! it is so smooth and DARK which is great. It also doesnt smudge ever! One day I cried about 3 times and at the end of the day it's still on! I use a tiny bit of eyemakeup remover to take it off, the same I'd use for my smudgepot. I am so impressed with this. I hope they come out with more colors. I have yet to try it on my waterline. Right now I use one dip to do each eye top and bottom and its perfect. So smooth and dark. I also use a different brush- an angled one I used for my smudgepot. this is proof that money does not always buy quality! I hope they never stop making this!

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Blush - Berry Shimmer
rated 5 of 5
Missyboo1287 2/27/2011 12:29:00 AM

Wonderful! I am a poor medical student and for 3 bucks, this is a steal! I considered buying some Nars blushes because I always had a problem with blush not staying on me all day but I couldn't bring myself to pay that much money! I used to use Covergirl Cheekers blush which I still like because its very shimmery, but I noticed I had to put a bunch on for the color to show up. I have olive/brownish skin coloring and this blush is amazing! Like others said, you have to apply very lightly, and Don't use the brush it comes with! Throw it away! Use a nice fluffy blush brush and lightly DAB it into the blush. I blow off some access and then apply and its amazing. Plus, it lasts ALL day! I am going to go back and buy more colors for sure. A+

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
rated 5 of 5
Missyboo1287 2/17/2011 1:44:00 PM

I have been wearing this since I was a freshman in high school. I have good skin, no real break outs or scaring, but I do have discoloration on my face. My cheeks are very pale and the area around my mouth is darker, so I need to use two different colors. I use Toast on my cheeks and medium beige on the area around my mouth, and then set it with colorstay prssed powder (I use a big fluffy brush) and I have gotta say it is flawless. (I am indian but have skin on the paler side) My friends tell me my skin looks amazing in photos and i owe it all to colorstay! It stays on ALL day and is a good base for my blush as it helps it stay on longer too. I think it works well with a sponge or with fingers. I used to use a sponge and when I ran out I just used my fingers and while I prefer the sponge cause its cleaner, i see no real difference in the way it looks. One awful thing about it though is the packaging. I have to carry these in a ziploc bag when I travel because the cap breaks on each bottle I have owned. I don't usually travel much either and its alwasy SUCH mess. I have noticed this with all revlon products though, their packaging ALWAYS breaks and not from being dropped either, just by clinging around in my makeup bag. I wish revlon would fix this! other than that, this is my favorite product in my makeup bag.

Eyeliner -Stila - Smudge Pot in Black
rated 3 of 5
Missyboo1287 6/25/2010 2:20:00 PM

I might be the only person that hates this product. It doesn't stay on at all when I put it on my bottom lid. If I even take a quick nap for 10 minutes, it's all over my face. I have a huge pot left so now I just use it as eyeshadow for when I go out at night but it's not that smudgeable for eyeshadow. I usually have to mix it with some creamy shadow for it to apply correctly. Other than that, as a gel eyeliner, I think it sucks. I found that to use it as eyeliner, I have to put a line of it on top of a line of liquid liner, which to me just seems like a waste of time to have to apply eyeliner twice ha. EDIT: I ended up using a lot of this product once I got the hang of it. I realized that there really isnt an eyeliner that lasts all day without smudging. I just know i can't nap with this stuff on! Also, this ended up drying up in a few months which is annoying too. Anyways, I think I am going to try MAC fluidline next.
