I am not a big fan of shiseido skin care products because I have always found their products to be too heavy for my skin but this product sounded interesting from what the salesperson was telling me. I wasn't too impressed with this product because i did not notice any brightening whatsoever after using it for 2 weeks. It also wasn't very moisturizing and didn't make my eye area soft and smooth like other eye creams. Overall, this product is very pricey for what it claims to do so I won't be buying it again.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Voluminous Waterproof

I like this much better than the non waterproof version and full definition. It really defines my lashes without clumping and can hold a curl. It gives me really natural looking lashes. I have been buying this one on and off since college. This is now one of my daily work mascaras. Definitely one of my fave DS mascaras!

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Matte Eyeshadow Rich Sable

I'm glad to finally find a good matte drugstore eyeshadow! These eye shadow singles are very pigmented and have a nice smooth finish. Rich sable is a nice matte brown shade perfect for wearing to work or school everyday. I use this on days when I just don't have time to put on my make up because it's so easy to apply and you can't really make a mistake. I have oily lids but this shadow holds up well compared to my MAC shadows. I am definitely picking up more of these!

Eye Shadow -NYX - 3 Color Eyeshadow

I purchased the 3 color palette in Rock & Roll. This palette comes with a beige highlight, a really nice taupe (like satin taupe), and a deep navy color (all shiny). This is my first nyx trio eyeshadow and i have to say i'm quite impressed with the quality. The colors are very pigmented and have a silky finish. I have oily lids and even with primer my shadows creases after 4 hours, this is no exception but that's ok. I really like the packaging compared to other drugstore brands. Its got a nice sponge applicator and mirror. I got this on sale for $8CAD and if anyone can tell me where I can find nyx in Canada besides Save-on Foods please let me know! I'm definitely going to try more palettes.

Moisturizers -Nivea - Nivea - Nivea Visage Regenerating Night Cream for dry/sensitive skin

I purchased the Light Regenerating Night Cream for Normal/ Combo Skin ( i have combo skin). I found this cream to be a bit heavy for my t-zone area, didn't like the texture at all. However, I did somewhat like how my skin felt, it didn't feel greasy at all and was very moisturizing. I'm not a big fan of the fragrance because it reminds me of this cellulite cream that my mom used to use more than 15 years ago (very random but sorry that's what it reminded me of). This is my first Nivea product, as I am experimenting with many drugstore/dept. store products. Even though I would not purchase again, i think it is very reasonably priced and does its job.

Primer/ Corrector -Bare Escentuals - Bare Vitamins Skin Rever Upper

This is my first BHA product and I purchased this on the recommendation of Paula's Picks (this product was rated as one of best BHA products). I have been using this product for a little over 2 weeks now every morning before my SPF moisturizer (i use this product only in the morning b/c i use a retinol product at night) and have noticed that my skin looks more fresh and glowy than it had been couple months ago (could be combined effect of retinol product?). I have only started to pay more attention to my skin now that i'm in my late 20s so i've been trying out all sorts of new products to see what works for my skin. This product is very light, almost like a serum, and you don't need a lot of product. My only gripe is the smell. It smells a bit like self tanner but it goes away after a couple mins. It also comes in a opaque pump bottle which i like. Overall, I would probably buy this product again b/c it is fairly inexpensive ($26CAD for 68ml) and it hasn't done any harm to my skin.

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle Cream (Night)

I've been using this product for about 2 weeks now and I can see a major difference in how soft my skin is. Also, my skin looks more bright and clear. I like how the texture is not very rich, wouldn't really call it a cream either-- can't really describe. I actually bought the day one, original formula with out spf. It's a small amount of product for what you pay but a little goes a very long way. It feels like your skin absorbs it instantly. I don't have any wrinkles yet but hopefully this product does what it says it will do!

Eye Makeup Remover -Clean & Clear - Oil free Soothing Eye Makeup Remover

I picked this up because it was on sale and am i glad i did! This is definitely one of the best drugstore eye make removers i've tried. I wear waterproof mascara everyday and this removed it so quickly. I can't believe how fast it removed my eye makeup. I only needed to wipe it a couple times and mascara was gone! I also love how its fragrance free and the pretty purple bottle looks nice.

Blush -Revlon - Powder Blush - Love That Pink

This blush looks really pretty on the outside and since i was looking for a new pink blush i decided to give it a try based on its pretty color and the name. I was very disappointed when i tried it on though. You can barely see any color at all!!! I tried to pack on the color with my brush and it just ended up looking very pale and powdery. What's even more annoying is the packaging. The pop up mirror is definitely not needed. My advice is to save your $10CAD. This is my first Revlon blush so I'm quite disappointed. I will try their cream and matte ones though.

Eyeliner -NYX - Eye / Eyebrow Pencil * 901 * Black

I was actually quite impressed with how smooth this eye pencil was considering it is so cheap! It is very pigmented and easy to blend if you plan to smudge it out. Definitely one of the better drugstore eyeliners in this price range. I also picked up a dark brown and pearly white one. I did find it to fade about 4 to 5 hours later (i have oily lids). Overall, best drugstore non mechanical eyeliner.

Mascara -L'Oreal - Full Definition Voluminous

I'm quite undecided about this mascara. I gave it an overall 4, but probably wouldn't buy this again and i'll explain why. I bought this because I had used the original voluminous a long time ago and decided to try this full definition one. The nice looking gold tube actually caught my eye. The packaging is really elegant. I really like the wand. It seperated my lashes perfectly. The formula glides on smoothly and really lengthens my lashes. It didn't give me more volume though. What I didn't like about this mascara was that I had to re curl my lashes but had to wait for it to dry first. It took a very long time to dry and it actually smudged on my lid when i tried to re curl it. That is probably the only thing i didn't like about this mascara. It took too long to dry, didn't hold a curl, and it smudged after 6 hours on my bottom lashes. However, I would buy this again just b/c it made my lashes look so long and smooth. If only i had a lot of time in the morning and i don't. I wouldn't mind using this for special occasions but is definitely not going to be my everyday mascara.

Eye Shadow -MAC - Trax

I guess it shouldn't be a suprise to see so many reviews on this shade b/c it is such a beautiful color!! It's a deep purple shade with gold sparkles and it is so shimmery. As will all their shadows it is super easy to blend and you could easily use to for many looks!

Brows -Wet 'n' Wild - Ultimate Brow Kit

I was surprised by this product. I was tempted to try this out after hearing good things about it. I bought this in light ash brown. The compact comes with wax, 2 shades of brow powder (a lighter and darker), it has a little brush, and a mirror. I don't use the wax or the little brush (i use my own angled brush). I have to say that I'm quite impressed with the result. I use the lighter shade only and the color goes on quite smoothly and is easy to work with. The color is not too dark or overpowering for me. Above all, this cost me about $5CAD so its super cheap compared to other eyebrow kits but works just as well! I recommend you to give this a try b/c its gives you a softer look over a brow pencil.

Styling Products -TRESemme - Instant Heat Tamer Spray

I love this product. I haven't put my hair under a microscope so I'm not sure how effective it is. But, i can say that I blow dry my hair everyday, use heat tools like my flat iron or curling iron and I have not noticed any damage to my hair like split ends or breakage. My hair is also dyed making it even more vulnerable. This product is not heavy, has a nice scent, and doesnt leave my hair weighed down like other products i've tried. The spray is awesome, it produces a light mist that gets the product evenly throughout my hair. It's also super cheap!!! Definitely recommended!

Lipstick -MAC - Lustre in Jubilee

I wanted a new sheer nude color lipstick and the girl recommend this one. I tried it on and i loved it!! It's such a beautiful color. On me it looks like i'm not even wearing lipstick. It's hard to describe the color. It's nude but not the kind of nude that makes you look washed out. Its got just the right amount of gloss suitable for the office. You can also add more gloss on top for an evening look. When you swatch it on your hand it looks like a pinkish peachy color but it looks much better on your lips though! Will definitely buy again and highly recommend this shade if you want a sheer nude color that doesnt make you look washed out.
