Conditioner -TiGi - Catwalk Curls Rock Conditioner

This is supposed to be a hydrating conditioner and my hair has actually gotten drier using the catwalk curlesque shampoo and conditioner. As a curly girl I definitely like to use hydrating/moisturizing products even though my hair isn't dry, it just makes the curls form much better and keeps them shiny. The only good thing about this is now I've been straightening my hair often and because it's made my hair drier it doesn't get greasy as fast when it's straight. However, I didn't buy this product hoping to help with straightening my hair. The conditioner is not cheap, I think it was around $18 and to get the product out I have to leave the bottle upside down and once it gets low I envision that it will be troublesome to get the conditioner out.

Polishes -OPI - Bastille My Heart

I just love this nail color. It looks great with fair skin and is perfect for fall/winter though I do break it out once in awhile in the warmer weather too. Often I find darker shades, such as the ever popular Wicked, to be so harsh on lighter skin. I'm not really sure how to describe the color...maybe a dark burgundy but with more reddish tones, but it is a very rich color with just the perfect touch of shine to it. When I apply it I find that three very thin coats works for me (I like very thin because I still can't seem to be able to apply nail polish well) but I'm sure two regular coats would be perfect.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette
rated 5 of 5

I was a little late to the party when buying this product and now that I have it I just wanted to add to the praises being sung for the Naked Palette. I'm fair with dark eyes and light brown hair, and I found that the colors in the original palette suit me better than in the Naked 2. I love all the looks I can get with everything I could need at my finger tips. I'm not adventurous and prefer more neutral colors so I appreciate the color selection in it. The price is a little much to swallow when I initially looked at it, BUT when you actually think about how much you are getting for the amount, it is actually a really good deal. The only thing I don't like about the palette is the outside of the case, the velvety texture is just a magnetic for every bit of dust there might be (and I do clean all the time!) I just can't seem to keep the case clean. I will definitely be buying this again after mine runs out, but I can't foresee that happening for a long time.

Blush -NARS - The Multiple in Orgasm
rated 2 of 5
MissMegg83 1/5/2013 5:40:00 PM

I opted to get The Multiple because I tend to prefer a creamy texture for blushes and I do actually like the color when lightly applied to my lips. After using the multiple several times I realized that I chose wrong. Orgasm is a great color because I don't like a heavy blush and my cheeks are always a little rosy anyway so I like how Orgasm just plays that up and looks more natural than a lot on me. The multiple has a little shine to it and goes on nicely, I just swipe it on and follow up with a fluffy brush and I love the way it looks once it goes on......the problem is it actually staying on. This stuff disappears so fast I feel like if I stood in front of the mirror I could actually watch it as it goes. Putting powder over it even very lightly, takes away the bit of shine that it has which is why I got it, and it still didn't help very much. I read a few places it helps to put it over blush to help it stay, but I find that just entirely defeats the point it that it is supposed to be blush and I'm not supposed to have use two products instead of one. I'll just stick with the regular blush which is quite a bit cheaper and lasts for hours.

Liquid -Christian Dior - Diorskin Airflash
rated 5 of 5
MissMegg83 1/5/2013 5:27:00 PM

Airflash has been my favorite foundation that I have found. The 200 matches my skin perfectly and has the coverage I need for when my skin is breaking out or if I'm having a rosacea flare up. I apply with the foundation lightly sprayed on a flat kabuki brush that way I have more control than just spraying it on my face and using a brush afterwards. I find it allows for much more even distribution and I can layer as necessary. The one downfall I find with this is that it is very drying. Whenever I wear it I make sure that I apply a heavy moisturizer and also a primer with it and then a heavy moisturizer again when I take it off at night. As for price, it is a bit high, but if you use it with a light hand, it does last quite awhile and it makes my skin look flawless, so who wouldn't pay for that!

Liquid -Urban Decay - Naked Skin
rated 3 of 5
MissMegg83 1/5/2013 5:20:00 PM

The makeup itself I would rate at 4, but the packaging is just so bad I had to take off a number for it, even though the packaging has its own rating. After a few uses, whenever I used the pump, the liquid started coming out of three places, no matter how much I tightened the top. THEN I went away and packed the foundation in my carry on, before I did it, I tightened the top and put on the lid, then when I was unpacking, I find my makeup back covered in foundation, I still don't know where it leaked out of and how it got all over. Coming home I put the foundation wrapped up in paper towels and its own bag and wrapped it in rubber bands to make sure that the cover stayed on and stuck it in the corner of my carry to make sure it wasn't moving around at all and it still leaked everywhere. So I went from more than 3/4 of the bottle to about a 1/4 of the bottle just from traveling, not including using it. Now for the makeup itself, I did like the foundation quite a bit. Before I was using Dior Airflash, applied with a brush, for fuller coverage but since my skin is looking better I wanted something lighter. I also got the Naked Skin in a 2.0 and it was a great match for my fair skin, and still let my always rosy cheeks come through a bit. It was sheer enough but didn't have a shiny finish and also wasn't completely matte. I applied lightly with my fingers and used a flat top brush to buff everywhere. I did find working in sections to be best because it does dry very quickly and if you try and do anything with it after it dries it becomes almost sandy. Using a primer under this also improved the finished look, if I didn't use a primer the foundation seemed to appear really dry around my pores after awhile which is not a good look.

Shampoo -Redken - All Soft Shampoo
rated 1 of 5
MissMegg83 9/11/2012 5:48:00 PM

I bought this shampoo based on all the good reviews, but it did not work for me at all. I am well aware that different products work different on each person, but this shampoo pretty much destroyed my hair to the point I think I will need to cut off about five inches from how dry and brittle it became after using half a bottle. Not only did it become dry, it start coming out excessively in the shower. At first I attributed it to the seasons beginning to change, but one it didn't stop after about two week (my average adjust period for my hair and skin) I realized it was the shampoo. I can't use the rest of the botte and while the price isn't exorbitant, it's enough I'm really annoyed at having to toss it. Now I need to find something to hopefully save my hair!
