If you can get over the smell (this seems to be an issue with EVERYONE), the product isn't that bad. Its not my number one, but its definitely one of my top 5 mascaras. I use it everyday. It really does lengthen your eyelashes. I was skeptical about paying $8+ dollars for this (I had been using Cover Girl Professional Smudgeproof mascara since I was 14 and its usually cheaper than this). But my lashes are pretty short and the idea of lengthening them with mascara was appealing. I took the dive and I don't regret it at all. I was also pleased that it doesn't clump on the brush or on my eyelashes. One application usually lasts me all day and it doesn't smudge or smear after its applied. My only cons (besides the smell) is that it doesn't provide a lot of volume. However I combine this with Rimmel Sexy Curves mascara and the duo usually does the trick. I would definitely use this again!
I was excited when I first got this mascara. The only way I could get curly eyelashes with a lot of volume was if I used fake eyelashes. I was sucked into the pretty purple packaging and the unique brush. Secondly, it was on sale; another motive to buy it. I ended up becoming very disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it did curl my lashes a bit (even without pre-curling). However, it lacks in volume and the bristles on the "unique brush" are very small. This means I had to apply more coats of this stuff to make it look like the normal amount of mascara was on my eyes. The bad thing about that solution is that it caused my eyelashes to look...well clumpy. A mascara is bad in my book when I have to comb my eyelashes in between coats. A personal gripe I have (I wonder if anyone else has this problem) is that it makes my eyes itch like crazy whenever I use it. I don't know what ingredient may be causing it, but it keeps me from wanting to use it by itself. I either have to use it with another mascara (I usually apply one coat of this mascara and one coat of Maybelline Lash Stiletto) to ease the blow of the itching (sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't) or not use it at all. Despite the potential allergy, I plan on either using it up or giving it to someone else. It a shame; it had potential, but for me Sexy Curves came up a bit short. I can't wait till I finish it so I can buy a different kind.
I got this lip gloss as part of a kit. I LOVE how this makes my lips look! This looks like a shimmery pink color in the bottle, but its actually pretty neutral. Color-wise, I couldn't see a difference. I mostly use it as a top coat to my lipstick or lip stain, or I combine it with a darker, thicker matte lip gloss. I also love the smell of this lip gloss! I wouldn't say it smells like figs though, but its still a pleasant smell. I hate how sticky it is (my hair sticks to my lips like crazy when i wear it), but I love how it gives my lips a wet, shiny look. It makes them look oh-so-kissable! Also, the added stickiness, though its a pain, helps keep the lip gloss on longer than other brands I've tried. I would use this product again, but only as a top coat.
I got this mascara as part of a kit. I like the fact that the brush is bigger than other brushes from other mascara brands. The coverage is really good too; I don't have to brush the top of my eyelashes (as well as the bottom) to cover up my brown eyelashes. Two sweeps underneath and my viola; black eyelashes! I can even put several coats on my eyelashes (an issue I'll get to in a minute) and it doesn't clump on my lashes. Speaking of no clumping, this doesn't clump when you open it either! Its nice to open my mascara and use it without having to scrape the clumps off. However, I wouldn't say my eyelashes are "plump." Make it Big didn't give a lot of volume to my eyelashes. I put three coats of this stuff on and my lashes still look about the same (only they're black instead of brown). It also wouldn't hold my curl after one coat; another no-no for me. If you're looking for a simple mascara (that offers a bit more coverage than your average drugstore brands) that isn't too costly (its about $8 without shipping on mark's website), this would be a good one. If you looking for volume, look elsewhere. To me, there are too many more options out there to settle for second or third-best. I would only buy this again...just for the awesome brush. ;)
