I'm not sure why all the bad reviews on this product, so I'm going to chime in. I wear this on top of the Shiseido mascara base (maybe that makes a difference?) and I love how my lashes end up looking - holds the curl, with length and volume. Plus it doesn't irritate my eyes as my YSL Faux Cils did. I have the typical stickly straight, short Asian lashes and this mascara does the trick of making them longer, fuller and holds the curl for me. My lashes don't look spidery or clumpy and really separates them well. The only reason I take off a lippie is the annoying packaging. Otherwise, this is one of my favorite mascaras along with MUFE Smokey Lash.
Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Heavenly Angel Mist

Surprisingly, this is one fragrance that I keep coming back to. The EDP is way too strong and sharp on me so I decided to give the body mist a try, and I'm so glad that I did! I got this on sale for $15 (reg. $22 for 8.4oz - still a great deal). This is a great fragrance for those that don't want to smell like they're wearing any perfume and that just want to smell clean, without all the loud citrus notes. It's just clean, soft, feminine and makes it seem like you naturally smell good. But the staying power can be better, so I'm taking off one lippie for that. Otherwise, this is a fool-proof fragrance for any occasion and I can't imagine anyone being offended by this. I just pray they don't discontinue this in the body mist form, since this is all I buy from them.
WOW....I think I've found my signature scent!! Or at least as close as I can get to one. :) I'm addicted to this scent. As others have described....it's sweet (without it being the mass produced bubblegum/cookie type scents), yet sexy (my male coworker couldn't get enough of this!) and very unique. I've never smelled anything like this before, very very different from the mass perfumes that have been released in the past few years. I love how they give you the refillable option. Would repurchase this again in a heartbeat. It's definitely very strong...so on a workday, one squirt is enough to give you sillage throughout the day. Amazing stuff!!! :) Edited 7/16/10: Just wanted to add that every time I wear this fragrance when going out, both men and women would compliment me every time! I had a DJ at a lounge as well as one of my gfs comment on how I smelled soooo good and asked for the name of my perfume. lol Definitely a keeper!!
Mascara -Make Up For Ever - Smoky Lash Extra Black Mascara
MissChocoholic 2/13/2010 12:56:00 AM
I think I've found a substitute for my beloved YSL Faux Cils. It was just getting too expensive, especially since they raised their prices to $30 a tube (which will only last me a month, if I'm lucky!). I decided to turn to MUFE Smoky Lash after all the rave reviews on the board and am so glad that I did!! :) This mascara gives me more length, holds a curl much better than YSL FC and gives me the same amount of volume. Additionally, it doesn't bother my eyes like FC did sometimes. I usually layer this over Shiseido mascara base, which gives me these amazing results. What more could I ask for?

I got this e/s from a dear friend for my birthday. As the previous reviewer has mentioned, I love using this e/s on days when I want to look more awake. It's a nice, shimmery but subtle pink when applied as a wash on my lids. This is the perfect e/s when you want to look clean, awake and polished. The texture is also to die for. Would definitely purchase. :)
There have been some questions on the board lately regarding the difference between YSL Singulier and Faux Cils. I wanted to address my first-hand experience and the comparison between the two. First off, I have stickly straight, short, sparse lashes and Faux Cils has been my go-to mascara for some time. From my experience, Singulier would look amazing on someone who already has luscious lashes with lots of volume. On me, this only did the job of lengthening my lashes without so much volume. With Faux Cils, it does an amazing job at volumizing as well as give me some length - however, not as much length as Singulier. So it's all a matter of preference and the type of lashes you have. Although it claims to be a lengthening + volumizing mascara, I have to disagree. It was more of a lengthening + defining mascara. I think most will disagree with me, but on me...it just doesn't do it for me when I want some dramatic lashes for evening. Also, if you do end up using Singulier, I highly suggest not using a lash primer underneath. I tried using this over Shiseido mascara base and it just made my lashes really crunchy and looking like taranchula legs. But If you already own and love your YSL Faux Cils and you don't have the volume to your lashes to begin with, I'd say save your $1.50 and stick with Faux Cils.
Fragrances -Elizabeth Arden - Mariah Carey - Luscious Pink

I'm surprised to see all the poor reviews on this fragrance. I admit I never would've considered this scent if it weren't for my friend who got it for me for my birthday. :) I love how Luscious Pink is a light, clean floral that you can wear to work or where you're going to be in close proximity to people who don't like perfume as much as you do. I did take off one lippie because the fragrance simply doesn't last. I can smell it very faintly on myself, but I doubt anyone else around me can after about 30 minutes. Would still re-purchase though.
One of the fragrances I reach for most often. I wish they had a dab-on bottle of this, since it's fairly strong. But used sparingly, the pure parfum is a gem - smoother and more well-rounded than the EDT in my opinion. I found that the EDT is a bit sharp on my skin. Would definitely re-purchase.
Fragrances -Unlisted Brand - Parlux - Jessica Simpson Fancy

I'm sorry to disappoint all these rave reviews, but I wasn't too impressed with this scent. I bought this fragrance due to the recs of several MUAers saying that it's similar to Pink Sugar but without the burnt sugar note that I get sometimes. But to me, they are completely different fragrances. I get a very dominant note of peach with Fancy and nothing much else. Whereas I get a more subtle, sweet sugary note from Pink Sugar (on a good day, when I don't smell the burnt sugar note). Needless to say, I much prefer Pink Sugar to this. I found this to be a bit too overbearing and I didn't get any vanilla notes at all on my skin.
I'll be the minority for this product. I just tried this in the shower a few minutes ago and got out with a lot of itchiness and redness. I guess it can't be all-natural since I don't usually break out like this. And it's taking me way too long to wash off the greasy residue that it left behind. I hate this product!! I'm still trying to calm down the redness. This was the biggest waste of money, will never re-purchase!!
I absolutely love this product!! I love how this gives you natural, cherry-bitten lips and even better with gloss on top. It'll give you a sheer red, pouty look when applied sparingly. The key is to dab it on!! I took one lippie off because on the cheeks (IMO) it can be a bit too much. So for me, it's solely just a long-lasting lipbalm - but I do love the cute packaging and how it comes with a mirror. But for $25 a pop, I expected a bit more.
I don't use this e/s as a highlighter on the browbone or cheeks as most reviewers seem to do. For me, this works best as just a wash of color on the eyelids. I then curl my lashes, put some mascara on...and it looks like I got a full night's sleep. It looks so natural - not too much with just the right amount of sparkle. I'm an NW25, so this shade is light enough in comparison to my skintone, to make me look more awake and bright-eyed. Will definitely keep in my makeup arsenal. :)
On initial application, I don't see any red in this at all...at least not on me. On my lips, it looks like a sheer brown...nothing much else. As the day goes on however, I do get a really nice tint of brownish red left behind. Overall, this color gives a very professional, clean look when used with a brow highlighter, black e/l and mascara. This will definitely be my go-to lipstick for day and night. Highly recommend. I removed one lippie due to lack of longevity...as with all Lustre formulas, it seems.
Lipstick -MAC - Mystic Satin Lipstick [DISCONTINUED]
MissChocoholic 1/24/2009 9:34:00 AM
I love this lippie - it's an amazing burgundy, especially when paired with MAC Desire lipglass. You'll get this luxurious evening look, that would be perfect with a wash of very light highlighter e/s with black liner. I also love the texture - not too dry for me and it stays on for a long time. I only have to re-apply once with this lippie, whereas with a lustre formula...I'd have to re-apply 2-3 times a day. Will definitely re-purchase. :)
I love this color and texture - it's very long lasting and very professional looking. At the same time, it's great for an evening look. It has just the right amount of red-brown and very wearable IMO. For reference, I have moderately fair Asian skintone - an NW25. This color also looks amazing with black-rimmed glasses...very sophisticated looking and great for interviews. :)
