This is the first heat protectant I have used so I can't compare it to anything but I really like it. A light spritzing before using the flat iron or curling iron and my hair looks and feels more smooth and shiny. No gunky buildup, no greasiness, no complaints. I would repurchase.
I am an inactive Mark rep and got this liner in Cocoa over a year ago from my upline. I put it away and forgot about it til just last month. When I rediscovered it, I shook it well, opened it and applied a thin line to my hand. Watery, sheer mess! Recapped and reshook and reapplied... same thing! Almost no color, super wet and what did appear started to spiderweb into the fine, fine lines on the back of my hand. The thin line was a wet smear within seconds. I assume I got a bad batch or it was already old when I received it, because no one else seems to have this experience, but I won't be repurchasing.
Shampoo -Organix - Renewing Moroccan Argan Oil shampoo
MissBrittanyM 4/9/2013 9:18:00 PM
Stay far away. Seriously, this is the WORST shampoo I have ever used. Even worse than the ones that gave me cystic acne on my scalp, because those didn't turn my hair to straw upon first application. I picked up the minis of the shampoo and conditioner at Ulta on a whim, not having read any reviews. As soon as I started to lather, I noticed a drying feeling that did NOT get better with the use of conditioner. My hair felt absolutely fried before I even stepped out of the shower. I applied PMSSS and let it air dry and it was knotted and parched. It took a week and applications of coconut oil, generic K-Pak, and oil serums to restore my hair's moisture and get it smooth again. I would never in a millions years repurchase.
Candles -Unlisted Brand - WoodWick by Old Virginia Candles
MissBrittanyM 4/9/2013 9:01:00 PM
My first and last experience with WoodWick was a special edition Autumn Glow purchased at Hallmark last fall. It was a beautiful gold leaf vase and 6oz of wax for $13, or $8 if you were already making a minimum purchase. The scent was very nice, moderately strong, and the crackling effect was pretty but within minutes of lighting and until the candle was completely gone and trashed, me, my husband and son all had the WORST cough and sinus trouble. It hit me near the end of the candle that it was likely the culprit, making us all hack and wheeze for a week. And as soon as it was gone, so were our symptoms. Sure, it could have been a coincidence, but considering the price of this brand and the wide availability of others that we find no issues with, I will not be repurchasing.
I picked this up after a rave review from a fellow YTer with the same skin tone. My all time favorite blush is Merle Norman's Dusty Rose, but it's a bit out of my price range currently. Comparatively, NYX DR is brighter/less "dusty" but still pretty, and about 1/3 of the price. It is not sheer in the least, nor is it completely matte, but it is a great natural, everyday shade for me (NW15ish). I would repurchase.
I love this scent. LOVE IT. I never smell commercial cleaner, only fresh beautiful grapefruit. I got a small bottle at Sephora with my points and have been using it about once a week for a few months. The scent is very strong at first, then fades and disappears completely within about 4 hours. So sad, because it smells amazing. The inability to last will keep me from repurchasing.
Lotions/ Creams -Trader Joe's - A Midsummer Night's Cream-Unscented
MissBrittanyM 4/9/2013 8:26:00 PM
I picked this up for $3.99, thinking it might be a good, cheap alternative to the Dress Green lotion I am obsessed with but not able to afford at the moment. I use it primarily on my son who has eczema on occasion, and sometimes on my hands. I love the value and the pump but I find that it is a bit thin for a cream, the moisturization doesn't last very long, and it has a sightly floral/herbal base scent rather than a truly "unscented" aroma. For $4, I will use it, but it was not an adequate replacement for the other product.
Lip Treatments -Fresh - Sugar Rose Lip Treatment SPF 15
MissBrittanyM 4/9/2013 8:15:00 PM
I really, really enjoy the feel of these balms, and this shade in particular. They are so luxurious, but the cost is prohibitive for me.
I have never tried the legit K-Pak but I found this and am in love. The only other deep conditioner I have tried is Aussie's 3 Minute Miracle, which, let's be honest, isn't too deeply conditioning. This product smells a bit like coconut and vanilla and is super thick. It makes my waist-length, dyed hair SO incredibly soft and it actually feel fortified. I use it about once a week and love it. I would absolutely repurchase.
Lip Treatments -eos - Lip Balm sphere -medicated tangerine
MissBrittanyM 3/28/2013 3:54:00 PM
I must have poor reading skills and bad luck because when I decided to try EOS balm, I only saw "tangerine" on the package, not "medicated". I prefer to not use medicated lip products. I do like the feel and the price, I just really need to try another scent, ANY other scent, since somehow I picked up the only medicated one.
Treatments -Avon - Advance Techniques 360 Nourishment Moroccan Argan Oil
MissBrittanyM 2/13/2013 8:53:00 PM
SO impressed and in love with this product! I rarely write reviews for hair products but this stuff is IMPRESSIVE! I have very thick, hip-length hair that is processed and this makes my hair look and feel healthy and fortified. I use 3 pumps on the bottom half of my hair immediately after showering and let it air dry, following later or the next day with heat tools. My hair absolutely looks and feels more smooth and nourished and I definitely plan to repurchase. Current price is $12 but there are tons of deals to be had- I got free MAO shampoo and conditioner when I purchased this bottle.
The easiest way to review this is to break it down like this- 3 stars because this particular color is great and pretty opaque, the price is fantastic and it's available in most areas, and there are tons of other color options. I couldn't give it more (and I returned it) because 1) it is thin and creeps/migrates past the perimeter of my lips even with lipliner and careful application and 2) after a few days of wear, it made my lips peel like crazy. There are actually tiny pink itchy bumps I think are blisters on my lips still. This is the ONLY new product I have used on or near my mouth. Sad I reacted like this, because it seemed to be a pretty promising product.
The first comment I want to make is on shade selection, simply because when I was looking for information, there was none... if you wear regular CS or CS whipped in BUFF 150, your best color match in this foundation will be VANILLA 120. They will look slightly different in the bottle but are incredibly close to being the same shade. This is obviously a much lighter formulation and I would call the coverage light to medium, dependant upon application method. My preferred method of application is a damp beauty blender knockoff as I feel it is too heavy with my fingers. If CS offers level 8-10 coverage, NN offers a 4-7. The finish is satin or natural, and wear is a solid 8 hours on my combination skin with no primer and no powder. I have applied Rimmel and MUFE powders over this and didn't care for either. I'm very impressed with the foundation and would definitely we purchase, especially considering it can be had for less than 10 dollars.

Ditto all prior comments on acquisition, feel and scent. It's an amazing product with an astounding price tag. I say that I would but again but only if on sale. Sad to have finished it already.
This is an EXACT duplicate of Avon's LiquiGlide eyeliner ( or that is a dupe of this). The big difference is the price, since you can buy half a dozen from Avon for the price of 1 from Tarte. Anyhow, this is essentially a gel eyeliner in pencil form... very soft and very wet. It does take a bit of learning to use but the color pay off is incredible. Very little product in the tube so go for Avon's.
