I'm quite fond of Decleor's masks, and I keep at least three in constant rotation. This is my most recent addition to the collection. I have the oddest skin- combination oily/dry, sensitive, sometimes acne prone... When my skin is behaving, as it is now, this mask moisturizes my face just enough - perking up skin that may otherwise look tired and a bit sallow. I don't have any problems with oiliness afterward (Hurrah!) I did have a glow, which thankfully was not the product of irritation, as can happen with so many brands. I will continue to use this as my "perk-me up" mask.
This is the only mascara that I've gotten compliments on (well, on my lashes) while wearing it. It thickens my lashes dramatically, and even makes them look like false lashes- but not over the top Vegas-y lashes or clumpy. I *do* make sure to wipe the brush a bit every time I use it and wiggle the brush from the base to the tips during application. One coat makes me look like I have naturally lush lashes. I add a primer underneath when I really want length as well as volume.
I too, was looking for a blush that was warm enough for my NC30 skintone, and not ... "spring and summer sheer". This is going to be my HG for autumn - the color warms me up immediately - without adding bronzer. It does pick up a lot of color very quickly, so use some caution when loading up your brush.
Lip Gloss -Bobbi Brown - Chocolate-Fr Pink lip duo

This is my first Bobbi Brown product in years - I am NOT disappointed. This color duo was a stretch for me (NC30, auburn hair), but I decided to give it a try. For those who tried this palette with the collection pic in mind, you won't get that gorgeous brown without liner (I used MAC Half-Red and it was perfect). The Chocolate lip shimmer does go on sheer, but it's a beautiful red-brown. The pink side is very light, but used over the Chocolate, it creates a much needed highlight. I am incredibly glad that I hunted down a second duo - I will be using the heck out of this!
MMM! Hot Chocolate! It may seem strange that I'd crave hot chocolate in the middle of a sweltering Louisiana summer, but I guess I'll blame the hormones :) This perfume quelches the cravings! I never ever thought that I'd like anything foody, but I do love this. I was even inspired to layer it over a bit of Palmer's cocoa botter and my Perfect Veil... mmmmm. Definately a cuddly-nighttime fragrance for right now, but when it finally gets colder, I will definately wear it with my sweaters.
Smoothes over the eye area nicely; I've been using it at night and on puffy mornings since I noticed tiny lines near my eyes (I just turned 23!!!)- and they seem to be going away. Will definately repurchase. Update: Took off one lippie. Doesn't work nearly as well as some others.
My mother bought this bottle on a whim soon after it launched. It wasn't floral enough for her though (her HGs are Bill Blass and Joy). I grabbed it, tried it, and then let it sit on my dresser for almost a year. I recently picked it up again, and my goodness! It's so unique! Slightly spicy, definately figgy, all around intriguing. My BF sniffed me yesterday and said that it smelled like green tea. Either way, I plan to put this into regular rotation.
Fragrances -Creative Scentualization - Perfect Veil

I'm on my second bottle of the oil now (my DBF bought me bottles of P.Veil and P.Chypre for my bday- smart boy) - - It's a perfect layering scent with almost everything. Sometimes the lemon in it can be overpowering, but generally it's beautiful.
Eye Shadow -MAC - Mineralize eye shadow - Aristrocat

Ooooh! Fell in love with this today at the counter. It's a taupey plum neutral on my NC30 skin. It can easily be a day to day color. It should also be easy to glam it up- just apply it with a damp brush and pair it with the Permaplum liner.... goody! As soon as I walked near my mother with it on, she sent me back to buy it for her! Will definately repurchase.
Another of my favorites for no smudges. Though easy to remove with water and a little remover, I find that little peices can get 'lost' and then get in my eyes. But, overall, great for humid days, or teary-eyed days. Def. not a drama mascara though.
Mascara -Revlon - Colorstay lash tint [DISCONTINUED]
Mishka1013 8/8/2004 10:55:00 PM
I use this on the days when I don't want a lot of mascara, but it's truly the only one that doesn't smudge on me. I usually curl my lashes and wipe the wand off so that it doesn't clump up.
Got this in Bamboom. Works well on my NC30 skin. I've been using it alone for a natural look on mu 'bum' days. It's great for layering with my other browns and coppers. Staying power is amazing!
My mother bought this for me last spring, and at the time, we both loved it. Spicy, floral- beautiful.. but after a while, we both tired of it. Recently, I picked it up and tried it again- and I like it! The temperatures down here have been over 100, but the fragrance hasn't been overpowering at all. Right now, I'm lovin' it :)
I apply this with a brush, rather than the sponge that was included- and I find that I prefer the coverage much better. I have it in NC30 and it's my perfect match. I have combination skin, and I've never had any problems with it.
I'm an NC30, and this color is beautiful onme. I use it on the apples of my cheeks as a blush (On some days, I don't need much color- I get flushed easily)- and it perks me up just enough. Would definately repurchase.
