Brows -E.L.F. - Eyebrow Kit

I have this kit in ash. The gel and powder go together beautifully and don't make my brows look 'fake' (which many products do as I have blonde hair). I think the powder is a very good dupe for MAC's Omega eyeshadow, which I also use in my brows. Although MAC's Omega is more pigmented, I think overall this kit is far better as the gel-powder combination means it stays on all day and the slightly less pigmented powder gives a less 'drawn on' look. And, (obviously) the main benefit - this kit is only £3.75 compared to £12 for just MAC's Omega. However, the brush is rather crap so I wouldn't bother using it. But other than that... HG!!!!

Lipstick -Yves Saint Laurent - Rouge Volupte #30 Faubourg Peach

Pros: - Beautiful packaging - It looks nice if you put it on the lips then rub it in to look like a stain on your lips and that's about it.. Cons: - When I put it on my lips looked like an 90 year old woman's!! Yes, I rarely scrub my lips but I never get dry lips and I never have this problem with other lipsticks. It literally gives me lines all over my lips which I don't even think exist :S and it makes my lips look ridiculously dry - I have NW20-ish skin and blonde hair and I just look so trashy when I put this lipstick on it makes me look like a chav to be frank - and who wants to pay £23 for a lipstick that makes them look like a chav? - Very expensive Overall, I was extremely disappointed by this lipstick I had heard great things about it and I was reluctant to pay over £20 for a lipstick but gave in only to find that it is the worst lipstick I have ever used.

Concealers -MAC - Studio Sculpt [DISCONTINUED]

This concealer is AMAZING for covering up any spots or marks etc. However, it gives me the WORST acne. I suffered from acne quite badly when I was about 14/15, I stopped wearing make up and went through the Retin-A treatment (which they don't give you in the UK unless you have bad acne as it is very very stong). As a result I no longer suffer from acne at all. However, I used this concealer again a few months ago for only TWO days and straight away I had huge spots just like before. I've tried it again since and it did the same thing. It causes such bad acne that it takes quite a while for the spots to go. I am very disappointed as I think this is probably what gave me acne all those years ago :(. Anyway, it's a shame as it does offer such great coverage but so not worth it for the pain, scarring and spots you will get! STAY AWAY IF YOU HAVE ACNE PRONE SKIN!!!

Lips -Revlon - ColorBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait
rated 4 of 5

Probably my favourite lipstick. Pros: - An extremely wearable colour - LOVELY texture (the best I've tried by far) - Last quite a while Cons: - Packaging is a bit cheap - Lipstick stick itself makes quite a mess if you have it more than about 5mm out of the tube when putting the lip butter on as it is so creamy - It can look a bit too glittery if you apply too much Overall I would definitely recommend. They are £7.99 which is a bit pricey for a high street lipstick but it is WELL worth the money! Although, I bought mine when it was £2 off and I believe superdrug are still running this promo so rush down there now! :)

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Toasted

Such a lovely darkish pinky/purpely/brown. Perfect for those of you with blonde hair! It's lovely when you are going for a natural grown up girly look as it never looks like you are wearing too much. I got this with the naked palette so it worked out at about £3 which is GREAT considering to buy it on its own it is about £14 I believe...? Anyway, I love this so much I would repurchase it on its own.

My only HG eye shadow. It would be great for you if you are blonde with blue eyes. It is SO versatile - it goes with almost any eye shadow. I would definitely recommend it.

Bronzers -NARS - Laguna

Great bronzer, it really does look natural! It is subtle and a pretty shade that doesn't look orange. However, it is quite expensive. Surprisingly, natural collections bronzer (the golden one) is a good dupe for this and is only £1.99.

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base

I thought this product was quite a let down. I bought it after seeing rave reviews but I find that it actually makes my foundation look worse. I don't know if maybe I am applying too much, but my make-up looks extremely streaky afterwards and doesn't really sink in, just sits on top of my primer.

Crème -Laura Mercier - Silk Creme Foundation
rated 4 of 5

This is the best foundation I've tried yet. It gives really full coverage and covers everything, yet looks as if you aren't wearing anything on your skin. Only downfall for me is that it is not that dewy and that it is not widely available in shops. I am an NW20 and I bought this is cream ivory; it was a bit too dark and a bit too yellow at first (I bought it online when there was a discount going so I couldn't colour match myself) but after I had properly worked it into my skin I found that the yellow tones actually evened out the NW redder tones of my skin, which made my skin much more neutral. It also lasts ages, I bought it over two months ago and my tube still feels pretty full! Overall a great product but a bit pricey at £33. Update: I find that I only have to buy one tube of this a year (and thats wearing it everyday!) Also, I've now tried cream ivory, rose ivory and medium ivory. Although medium ivory matches my skin when I have a tan, rose ivory is the perfect colour for the majority of the year (I'm a NW20).
