Eye Shadow -Rimmel - Scandal Eyes- Bulletproof Beige
rated 4 of 5

This is an awesome es pencil. I love using this as a liner on my waterline and it lasts and lasts. The color is a medium shimmery beige and it brightens up my inner corners beautifully. I bought this for under $4 at target and I would definitely repurchase. I have not used this as a shadow yet so I can't comment on how it holds up on my lids, but without primer on my waterline, this works great

Foundations -Revlon - Nearly Naked Foundation
rated 4 of 5
MiniAndBoss 4/24/2013 1:21:00 PM

This is a great foundation to mix with other foundations. I have the color in Shell and its a tad bit too light for my NC 25 skin but Nude, the next shade up, is too orange. Shell has the tight undertone for me and I mix it with loreal true match in w3 to achieve the perfect color and coverage. Those 2 foundations mix very well together and I'm able to get a natural but medium coverage. True match can enhance the dry patches on my face while nearly naked I feel is too sheer for my liking. I gave this foundation 4 stars for being versatile. The packaging sucks without a pump.

Top/Base Coats -Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat
rated 5 of 5
MiniAndBoss 3/24/2013 9:29:00 PM

Favorite top coat, hands down! Makes all my manis dry super fast, and keeps them shiny and chip free for at least 5 days. I use this with the seche base coat, and I don't experience any shrinkage or color change. Personally, I don't care that it's not a 3-free product. I've also used the poshe and sally hansen top coats, but I ran right back to this one. When SV gets thick, just add some seche restorer to it, and it will work as good as new!

Polishes -Sinful - Nail Polish (all colors)
rated 5 of 5
MiniAndBoss 3/23/2013 6:50:00 PM

Love this brand of nail polish! Sinful Colors (SC) can be found at Walgreens, Rite Aid, and Target here in the US. I own about 10-15 different colors. And a few of my favorites are mint apple (mint/jade green with shimmer), island coral (creme light coral pink), soul mate (dusty neutral pink), endless blue (dark royal blue creme), timbleberry (bright coral creme), and gorgeous (metallic teal). At $1.99 a bottle, this polish blows some OPI's and Essie's out of the water! I have yet to run across a SC that wasn't true to color or streaky, unlike some of the more expensive brands. With most colors, I only need 2 coats to achieve that opaque and shiny finish. The brush is nothing to write home about, it's the standard nail polish brush, not the wide tip ones. The bottle is your standard np bottle, nothing fancy. I can get 4-5 days wear out of these with my trusty Seche top coat. SC is one of my favorite nail polish brands due to the extremely affordable price and the reliability of the formula for all the colors. SC is definitely a great brand to try out more daring and fun colors, because you're only risking losing $2, versus $8 or $10.

Fragrances -Chloe - Chloe (EDP new)
rated 5 of 5
MiniAndBoss 2/24/2013 6:44:00 PM

This is my new signature scent, when I smell it, it just reminds me of.. well, me! I actually love it so much more when it's directly applied to my skin rather than sprayed on my clothing. I find that when the perfume mixes with my skin chemistry, the cleaner notes (? sorry, not very good at describing perfumes or smells) come out much more than the powdery or sweet notes. When sprayed on my clothes, the dry down smells like powder, but when sprayed on my skin, the dry down smells so much better! The lasting power is pretty amazing for the EDP too. During the day I would think that the smell has faded but later on I'd get a whiff of it or someone would tell me that I smell nice. This is definitely not a perfume for everyone, as it is very floral. Although it's a floral perfume, I find the smell is more complex and sophisticated. It is quite pricey -- $90 for 1.7oz of the EDP from Sephora. I also wouldn't trust purchasing from discount sites as I've heard that people have gotten fakes before. I love this perfume though, especially during the warmer months!

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalast in "Private Viewing" #204A
rated 5 of 5
MiniAndBoss 10/6/2012 11:44:00 PM

Absolutely gorgeous and lovely nail polish. After two coats, it's a shiny peachy nude that looks so polished and put together. I love wearing it on its own or layering Sally Hansen strobe light over the accent fingers. The formula is very good -- opaque after two coats, and doesn't chip for 5 days with a top coat. My skin is nc 30 for reference.

Lip Gloss -MAC - Tinted Lipglass
rated 4 of 5
MiniAndBoss 7/10/2012 11:57:00 AM

Love these glosses! So many colors to choose from, and it really lasts on your lips. I don't really mind the sticky factor especially if that's what makes it last on my lips. I love the high shine finish as well as the affordable price for the quality. My favorite lipglass is Nymphette. It's a gorgeous medium pink with gold shimmers. It looks amazing when my skin is tanned, and I always have one in my purse with me. Love lipglasses! Will repurchase.

Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips lip balm
rated 3 of 5
MiniAndBoss 7/1/2012 8:09:00 PM

I have 4 of these in Quenched, Pink Punch, Peppermint, and Peach Kiss. Let's get on with the reviews: Quenched: colorless, smells like lemon candy, the most moisturizing of the bunch IMO, but not as moisturizing as carmex, can taste the sunscreen Pink Punch: bright medium pink with no shimmers, smells amazing like fruit punch, not very moisturizing, pretty pigmented, doesnt last very long Peppermint: colorless, smells like medicine like peppermint, my least favorite, slightly burning on the lips, not very moisturizing, can taste the sunscreen Peach Kiss: light nude peach with shimmers, smells like artificial peach, not very moisturizing, works as a good nude lipstick on me and I have pigmented lips, the shimmers aren't obnoxious Overall, I wouldn't buy again. This is supposed to be a lip balm but I find all four to be not moisturizing. The balm just kind of sits on my lips and I never feel that the balm gets absorbed. Also, the ones with color applies with a slip, and it doesn't last long on my lips. I can also taste the sunscreen in them.

Eye Shadow -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Trio - Walking on Eggshells

Great palette for that sunkissed, bronzy, effortless summer look. All the colors are pigmented and smooth. So easy to use and looks great on my nc30 skin. The pinky color on the lid and the golden Brown color in the crease really brighten up my brown eyes. Will repurchase, especially for $3!

Concealers -Almay - line smoothing concealer
rated 3 of 5
MiniAndBoss 6/21/2012 12:45:00 AM

This concealer is just ok. I use the color light and I am NC 25. It's not very opaque but it is very smooth and moisturizing. On most days I don't have very dark circles, so this concealer works fine. But on those days where I haven't slept well and have dark circles, this would not cover them at all. I gave it a 3 because this concealer never settled in lines or caked up no matter how dry my skin was or how much i put on. I really liked that. I just wish it was more pigmented. I wouldn't repurchase, just because there are better concealers out there for the price ($10)

Tinted Moisturizer -Sonia Kashuk - Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 (tube)
rated 4 of 5
MiniAndBoss 6/2/2012 1:32:00 PM

This is a great tinted moisturizer, especially for being a drugstore product with a very affordable price tag. I have combo skin, oily in the t zone and normal everywhere else. I am a nc27-30 in Mac, and I chose the shade Linen. Beige was too dark for me, and linen is slightly, very slightly too pale, but I use my MSFN to set the TM, and the color match is great. I always moisturizer under any makeup I wear, and I found that the TM didn't add any oiliness on top of my moisturizer. The TM evened out my skin tone and reduced some of the redness in my cheeks. It feels light on my face and it gave me a natural finish. The finish is definitely sheer to light, so you do need to conceal the trouble spots. With this on, my face looks like my skin, but better. I've been wearing this for a week so far and I'm totally loving it. No breakouts, no grease ball, and totally a staple for the hot summer months when you don't want to wear heavy face makeup.

Eye Shadow -Maybelline - Expert Wear Eye Shadow Single: Linen
rated 4 of 5
MiniAndBoss 6/1/2012 11:03:00 AM

This e/s is now a matte shadow and no longer has any shimmers in it. It's good for a subtle highlight, and it looks much more office appropriate than a shimmer highlight. It's not very pigmented, but it's not chalky either. It's a light bone/ cream color, like that of vanilla ice cream. It's hard to find matte highlights in the drugstore brands, and I got it for $3.50 at target

Polishes -Wet 'n' Wild - Megalast Tropicalia
rated 5 of 5
MiniAndBoss 5/20/2012 2:05:00 PM

I absolutely love this polish! The color is a beautiful bright coral pink that's perfect for summer. The formula is great also. It dries fast, opaque after 2 coats, doesn't streak, and doesn't chip easily. At 2 bucks a bottle, go try it out! I can totally see myself wearing this all summer.

Sunscreen -Unlisted Brand - Australian Gold
rated 5 of 5
MiniAndBoss 4/6/2012 6:54:00 PM

I am reviewing the Australian Gold spray gel sunscreen with SPF 15 with the instant bronzer. I absolutely love this product for tanning outdoors. It really does absorb fast and leaves my skin moisturized, soft, clean, and not sticky at all. I've used the banana boat tanning oil before this, and the AG one is soooo clean and hassle-free compared to banana boat! It's super simple to use, just squirt a few sprays on your body and rub it in with your hands, and there's no oily mess to clean up after. I do notice a *very* slight bronzing effect from it. It smells amazing too. At first, when you first spray it out, it smells exactly like bubble gum, but after you rub it in, it smells like coconut. I tanned outside for about an hour and a half, and I didn't burn at all. My tan came out even and darker than if I'd just laid out with sunscreen only. I would definitely repurchase this. Found it at my local target for $8.99.

Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips lip balm in Pink Punch
rated 3 of 5
MiniAndBoss 3/8/2012 10:00:00 PM

For something that's advertised as a lip balm, this particular product is quite pigmented! Its a bright, almost highlighter pink in the tube, but on my already rosey pigmented lips, it comes out to be a magenta pink. I love how it looks on, but the problem I have with it is that it wears off horribly. Since the formula is like a balm, it doesn't last on my lips, and it wears off patchy and uneven, and leaves a hot pink ring around my mouth. The balm smells amaaaaizing though, and is quite moisturizing. I will not repurchase in this particular shade, I will get a more natural looking color next time.
