My favourite concealer!. I use nw15 which matches my skin tone perfectly and is just perfect for covering dark circles. This really does cover spots and scars very well and I find it lasts all day underneath my BM matte foundation, it doesn't cake on me and I have very oily skin at the moment. You do only need to use a small amount and as a huge plus I found that applying a little all over my eyelid and up to the brow made a great eyeshadow primer and gave a clean base to apply too.
This is my all time favourite foundation tried so many liquids and powders drugstore and high end and I always end up repurchasing this one. My skin is very oily again after going through a very dry patch after using skin care that was too strong, I found this too drying during that time, but now my skin is back to normal I pretty much apply this every day, I first of all use my creamy mac studio concealer to conceal any flaws and then buff 2 layers of this into my skin (my primer is the amazing rimmel 002!), then I finish with BM ready mineral veil and I have a flawless complexion!. I do find that the matte shades run a bit darker so I use fair instead of fairly medium which I use in the original. I do find myself having to blot shine by lunchtime with my ready veil but I am very oily so expect to. It doesn't sink into my pores but I think having a good primer is a huge help!. Definitely recommended for the Oilier skin type but when I was very dry this just made it feel even drier even with alot of moisturiser.
An excellent cleanser!. After being treated for chemical burns on my face I had to change my whole routine after disastrous results from murad anti acne. Was really scared to use any type of cleanser on my face but my doctor recommended to try the avene dry sensitive range. The cleanser has a very runny consistency almost like water really but a small amount covers face and neck and after gently massaging I actually slightly dampen cotton wool pads and remove it that way as dry pads really dragged my skin and made it sore. This removes any dirt and grease and makeup now I can wear it again!. I use the gentle toner afterwards and there is no traces left behind. My skin is now extremely sensitive and this causes no irritation and leaves it soft and comfortable highly highly recommended!.
Moisturizers -Burt's Bees - sensitive daily moisturizing cream
Miltonh81 12/29/2012 5:28:00 AM
After my skin recovered from chemical burns due to a murad kit I had to change my skincare routine completely from having extremely oily spotty skin to now having very dry sensitive skin!. The avene range got my skin back into a calmer and not as dry state and I still use the cleanser toner and recovery cream at night but I just wanted a slightly lighter moisturiser for daytime, I found this on amazon with great reviews and have been using every day for a month now. I love that it comes in a sturdy sanitary pump action container and one pump dispenses just the right amount for me. It sinks in instantly even though my skin is very dry it still does feel very comfortable all day and my primer and bare minerals sit perfectly all day on top. Will definitely keep buying this great packaging and just the right amount of moisture and no strong fragrances to upset my skin!.
I usually have very oily congested spotty skin and never in a million years would I have thought I'd be writing a 5 star review for this!!. The reason being I used a 30 day murad acne kit and 3 days later ended up in hospital with what they say we're chemical burns and my eyes were badly swollen. After my treatment my skin became extremely dry and still I do not get any oil or shine(though I'd give anything to have that skin back!). I was recommended the Avene range for sensitive dry skin and the whole range has really helped with no irritations at all. This mask Is my favourite I use it twice a week but for me there is no need to rinse because my skin drinks it in in seconds that's how dry it is!. It makes my face feel so much more comfortable and I don't wake up with tight flaking skin, it has been a few weeks now and although very dry the texture has improved massively which has given me a bit of confidence back. I am not going to write a horrible review for the murad because I was a very rare case of what can happen and I no it works wonders for most all I can say is please patch test I didn't really have any sensitivities to anything until using murad. And this was all I was using.
I've finally found a mascara that I will purchase again after my belved two-timer m ascara by the balm became impossible to find. I like that it has a drier texture hated the wet rimmel lash accelerator mascara!. It has just the right sized brush and two coats gives my stubby black lashes length and curl that really does last all day and no flaking off. At £7.99 this is half the price of my two timer mascara and maybe even a little bit better! Highly recommended.
Shampoo -Aveda - Black Malva Shampoo and Conditioner
Miltonh81 11/14/2012 1:26:00 AM
I love these products have been using the same bottle of shampoo since January (I have the litre size) and I use the conditioner once a week and that is just coming to the end I still have at least a quarter of shampoo left. I have naturally black hair with a few greys so I just dye it black every 6 weeks. This keeps those horrible reddish tones away and cleanses my hair without stripping any natural oils and you really only need a 10 pence piece amount the smell isn't amazing but it works all that matters to me also I made sure I bought a pump because having small hands makes it impossible to squeeze a huge bottle! The conditioner is fantastic yes again doesn't smell the best and you must use gloves to prevent staining your hands it really does revive my colour and conditions my hair deeply I leave it on for 20 mins once a week and use a tigi peace and the planet conditioner the rest of the week. I haven't felt like my hair has gotten used to using the same shampoo for 11 months and I find this very economical for £19.00 (£15.00 for conditioner). If you want to keep your hair in great condition and the blackest black give these a try.
Polishes -Unlisted Brand - Nails Inc - Baker Street

I have had a mostly hate relationship with nails inc lacquers but have now come to realise that I only ever bought multi sets from qvcuk and they must have been of poorer quality for some reason they would just chip and literally peel off within a day so I just gave up and moved on to OPI which I love. Must admit I had this colour in a set and when on it was such a beautiful royal blue really striking and was gutted when it peeled off after washing up!. So when I saw this sold alone on amazon I thought I'd give it one last chance to see if it was because of qvc quality and I was correct! I've had this on for 5 days now no chips or peeling and have had lots of compliments!. I have always loved nails inc caviar base and top coat even if the lacquers were poor at the time and it really works on any lacquer brand you buy. So I guess it's buyer beware when you purchase multi sets I'd rather pay more and get the quality and give this brand credit it deserves!.
This is favourite of all my opi lacquers I love my blues the most and this is the most stunning blue ever! It goes on perfectly with 2 coats, you will need a really good base coat I haven't found one yet that stops it staining, though I just buff the staining away quite easily. It wears well with a good top coat I recommend nails inc Kensington caviar base and top coat, if you love your blues and can handle the staining you really must get this!.
This is what gave me nails I'd never dreamt of having. I had bitten my nails for over 20 years and to be honest I didn't care what state they were in until my now husband proposed nearly 2 years ago. Then I panicked lol I decided to tune into an Opi show on qvcuk (never watched or ever been interested before) and this was billed as a nail life saver! So of course I ordered it along with the Avoplex oil for my ragged cuticles. I followed the instructions and battled through the urge to bite them and came out the other end a few weeks later with strong smooth healthy looking nails with no urge to bite at all, and massaging in cuticle oil day and night had rid the ragged bits I actually became really proud of them and started investing in opi lacquers which I love! They are lovely nd long now and I haven clip and file them down now. If you can get one please get the Leighton Denny crystal nail file it keeps the edges smooth and water tight I wouldn't use anything else. And please get nail envy mine were in a bad way wish I had a pic of them before. Highly highly recommended.
Skincare - Face -Liz Earle - Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
Miltonh81 10/23/2012 5:37:00 AM
I used to love this cleanser when I was a teenager 15 years ago! It removed all my heavy eye makeup and kept my oil and spots under control my mum used to treat me to it every month but when I left home I couldn't afford to keep it going so went to high street brands. I recently saw this on qvc and it bought back so many good memories ( sounds like my Elizabeth Arden review lol) and yes this went downhill to! They've taken the almond milk out and added the evil pore clogging cocoa butter into It!!. The application of it felt more difficult to massage in and there was not much slippage to it like there used to be. The muslin cloth removal was nice as it was but it didn't remove my mascara like it used to it was very poor!. I could forgive that but after using 2 pump bottles I have a face full of spots and my skin is the greasiest it's ever been!. It's back to normal after reverting back to my usual products. Liz should not say this is suitable for everyone when she should no what cocoa butter can do to already congested skin. Was really disappointed.
Liquid -Rimmel - Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation
Miltonh81 10/23/2012 5:25:00 AM
I've finally found a drugstore foundation that I will use again!. I love my bare minerals but it is expensive to replace. I had given up on finding one after so any attempts and ending up orange and spotty!. They've all looked good when first on but oxidised and gone patchy an hour later. Well my mum bought me this to try said it was in a chemist for£5.99 and she had got me ivory the lightest and having a medium skin sounds way to light!. But this is my perfect shade even though I'm an nc30 in mac and medium in BM. It blended evenly and covered my open pores easily on my cheeks and nose and I loved the flawless face it gave me but I knew I had to wait and see, an hour later gingerly went to check it and no orange or patchiness!!!!, and it stayed that way all day with just a dusting of Laura geller matte maker at lunch. This is a wonderful find at last I never would have expected ivory to be my shade. Also try the rimmel primer in 02 clear this is the best I have used it covers pores and holds my make up all day, I never though it would be rimmel that created a great base for my skin type but I'm so happy and saving a fortune!!!.
Crème -Elizabeth Arden - Flawless Finish Sponge-On Creme Make-up
Miltonh81 10/23/2012 5:14:00 AM
I was gutted with this foundation, I'm 30 and first bought this on a flight when I was 15 with the typically teenagers spotty oily skin and this was amazing covered what needed to be covered and stayed put it was a pure luxury because I never bought it again until now!. It only cost £10.00 from a discount web store and I couldn't wait to try it again, yes my skin is still as oily but only the odd spot now and again!. As I was applying it I noticed that it just wasn't covering anything my open pores never smoothed over like it used to do and it felt really light but greasy. And to make matters worse the Shade which matched perfectly when first on oxidised on me it just looked awful. On the one plus side I still love that original packaging its in and then let it go and gave it to my mum who loves it!.
Eyes -Laura Geller - Eye Rimz Baked Wet/Dry Accents
Miltonh81 10/23/2012 5:03:00 AM
My eyeshadows and liners of choice!. I have a copper, a plum and a split silver and amethyst one and love them all, they are very pigmented so you can choose your depth of colour the more the better for me!. I think the plum is my favourite I wet the purpley parts and it becomes a beautiful liner that stays put all day. I love the versatility of these and have just ordered blue voodoo can't wait for that to arrive. Highly recommended for anyone who loves colour and definition.
Pressed Powders -Laura Geller - Matte Maker Invisible Oil Blotting Powder w/Brush
Miltonh81 10/23/2012 4:57:00 AM
I absolutely love this this actually doesn't upset my skin like balance and brighten which surprises me but so glad it doesn't. I use this over liquid and bare minerals and it really does blot the shine away for a few hours which is great for me because my skin is very oily. Love the fan brush it came with it helps to get into the really shiny bits around my nose. The only problem with this is that my powder broke up very quickly and it was only in my Make up case, so I use my ready mineral veil to take out with me that's another amazing shine blotter!.for touch ups at home this is the best powder out there.
