Concealers -Rimmel - Wake Me Up Concealer

I bought this concealer yesterday not knowing what to expect. I'm glad the result was a win. I love this concealer. I'm wearing it right now under my powder foundation. Usually I have issues with concealers creasing under the eyes but not this time! It covers well my dark acne spots without being cakey. Just does what a concealer should. And I'm really glad too that I found my perfect skin match in 230 very fair/light. I can easily wear this with no foundation needed when I want a more 'au naturel' look. Will definitely buy again!

Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Homemade Tendskin

Years before, I never really wore dresses or short skirts because I was embarrassed that my legs had these red dots after shaving them. I didn't know what to do, so my only conclusion was to wear jeans all the time. Before I knew about this recipe I heard that exfoliation was necessary before shaving so that you get rid of this issue as well as the ingrown hairs. So in the shower before shaving I dissolved in the palm of my hand a few uncoated aspirins, the result worked well on my legs and underarms. However around my private area which I like to keep nice and shaven, (just because it looks nicer and cleaner, and a friend of mine agrees with me too, ha); it was kind of messy and I still developed a few bumps there, not as much as before, but I wanted better results. I'm so glad I found this recipe, my legs, bikini area and pits are smooth and bump free. The mixture smells like cheap liquor, but it's so worth doing!

Makeup Brushes -E.L.F. - Foundation brush
rated 1 of 5
MichiLiebe 7/12/2012 5:04:00 PM

This was $2.50 @ Big Lots. I bought it because elf is pretty good, cruelty free and dirt cheap! Anyway, I normally do my foundation routine with my fingers if it's liquid, if it's cream then I use a damp sponge, if it's powder, a kabuki brush. But lately as my skin has improved I've only used concealer and powder, that's it. I didn't have many issues concealing with my fingers, but thought a brush might come in handy. I was excited to try it out, once I swept the brush to blend a bundle of the brush's bristles just sprayed all over my face! No joke, it kept shedding on me and didn't even blend. Well, I was very disappointed, because looking at the brush, you might think it's good quality, but not this one. I will return it and buy myself a bundle of cosmetic sponges...

Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Coconut Milk - Hair Soak
rated 5 of 5

Okay, I had tried coconut milk some time before and I didn't see much results from the couple of times I tried it, not to mention the mess and experiencing fallout like one of the reviewers here. Was very disappointed with that remedy that I heard worked wonders. But a couple of weeks ago I decided to buy a can of coconut cream at a local asian store just to see the difference between the milk. Next day I tried it out, combed my hair so that there wouldn't be any tangles or fly aways, opened the can and scooped out the cream and just massaged big spoonfuls of it in my hair. I didn't make that much of a mess like I did with the milk because the cream is thick. Anyway, I waited 2 plus hours before taking a shower and washing my hair. I knew I had to because the cream was drying up and looking like excessive dandruff. Hopped in the shower, rinsed out the cream and shampooed, after that I waited for my hair to dry. My hair felt sooooo smooth and silky, not to mention the coconut aroma, that was really nice. Tried it again a couple of days ago experienced same good results. My hair is definitely shinier than before, darker and more easier to manage, since I'm used to having frizzier hair, that problem has gone away. So, what I'm saying is, if you felt like coconut milk didn't really work out for you, try coconut CREAM! IT WORKS!! :)

Moisturizers -Neutrogena - Neutrogena Combination skin moisturizer
rated 4 of 5
MichiLiebe 5/31/2012 9:39:00 PM

it's okay I guess, though I don't wear this moisturizer 2 times a day like it says on the bottle. Before I go to bed I put on jojoba oil and break a vitamin e capsule on my face. But at day I put this on before my makeup, just one pump and wait a minute or two before it's absorbed completely. The feeling is cool and lightweight. I never had adverse reactions to this moisturizer like some of you have, sorry to hear that :( Anyway like I said it's okay for me, don't really care for the price though. I may look around for another facial moisturizer that has more natural properties than this one... I'm turning into a natural freak these days...lol!

Liquid -L'Oreal - Visible Lift Serum Absolute Advanced Age-Reversing Makeup
rated 5 of 5
MichiLiebe 5/31/2012 9:16:00 PM

I've used this foundation a few times, each time I used it it felt lightweight on my sy mom bought it in a classic ivory shade and I'm more of an ivory bkin, didn't feel heavy at all, and I love that feeling! The application of it goes on very smoothly, stays matte, the smell of it is nice, reminds me sunscreen, (love that light smell), and the coverage is good! Only kind of drawback I can think of is that meige, but that's okay, at least I know I won't look orange with it if I may apply more than necessary! P.S, since my acne is getting much clearer these days, I won't be using my Revlon Colorstay foundation as much as before and will be replacing with this one. And my complaints with that foundation would be the weird sweet smell it has unlike this one and the feeling of being very heavy on my face.

Mascara -Physicians Formula - Organic Wear Jumbo Lash Mascara
rated 3 of 5
MichiLiebe 5/31/2012 9:06:00 PM

I had to switch to this mascara after Maybelline The Falsies one because I'm running out. Anyway, the container in which it comes with is cute, love the green color, but that's not the point here, first time using it left me feeling disappointed. The wand is too fat which always leaves me with mistakes on my lid; (I wouldn't wear this mascara without eyeliner because the mistakes above my eyelashes are too visible!), the application of this product on my eyelashes I find is very difficult, as I mentioned before the wand is too fat which is impractical. Another con due to the wand would be that it just doesn't lift up my lashes as the falsies does, don't like that too much. What I kind of like about this mascara is that it doesn't clump up my eyelashes like the previous mascara, and that it claims to be organic with no harsh chemicals. But I wouldn't buy this again. Physicians Formula needs to change the wand!!

Blush -Physicians Formula - Cashmere Wear Ultra-Smoothing Blush (all colors)
rated 4 of 5
MichiLiebe 5/8/2012 10:44:00 PM

ok, I love PF's products, except their packaging, (way too bulky). Tried this beautiful blush twice, but I don't like how it doesn't easily transfer on the blush brush; (I use the ecotools blush brush). Also, there's not much space in the little square to move around the brush with. I got it in natural and there's just a little hue of pink color, which I love. But like I said, it's a bit hard to apply, though if you do get a bit carried away with it you won't end up looking like a clown!

Primer/ Corrector -L'Oreal - Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base
rated 4 of 5
MichiLiebe 5/5/2012 10:10:00 PM

Oh, wow, I didn't know there were so many mixed views on this product. I have never tried makeup primers before, so this has been my first one for a few months now and there's still more than half product left in the jar. I just love how nice my skin feels when I first glide this with my fingers on my face. One of the drawbacks is that I don't like that it's in a jar because you have to scoop it out with your bare fingers or in my case my long fingernails which could be a bacteria hazard. (Be careful if you're acne prone) I scoop out the primer with a q-tip. For me, it works with all foundations I have, but I'm going to use it only once in while, because as it's a primer that covers up pores and lines and is silicone based the more you use it, the more issues your skin might develop over time..

Highlighters -Maybelline - Mineral Power Illuminating Powder
rated 3 of 5
MichiLiebe 5/4/2012 12:41:00 AM

I tried it today for the first time, and after a few hours of wearing it it looks like fairy dust all over my cheeks. The brush is terrible, even though they say it's made from natural hairs. It's just too rough, I used my ecotools kabuki one and just lightly brushed under my eyes, forehead, bridge of my nose, cheekbones and chin. It looked nice during the day, but after a long while you'll look very shiny, but the effect can be reduced by blotting half a kleenex on your face.

Primer/ Corrector -New York Color - Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer
rated 2 of 5
MichiLiebe 4/18/2012 4:24:00 PM

Well, I'm a newbie primer user, I saw a coupon for $1 off this and it came out at $2.74. It feels soft, like a moisturizer, but it does shine a lot. There's only one shade: 684 and it has mineral oil inside, which is a big no-no for skin. I used to use baby oil to remove my eye makeup and that was breaking me out, so I'm not using this anymore, even if it was only 2-3 times before. I'm giving it to my mom, because she has no skin issues, lol!
