I bought it after reading the reviews here on MUA and have been using it for two months now. The texture is creamy and has a natural scent. It sinks into my skin fairly quickly and can keep my skin moisturized over night. I put it on after using ANR in order to seal it in and so far the combination gives me pretty good results. My skin is more even toned and smooth. Pimples are able to heal faster. The product is packaged in a glass jar with a plastic little spoon to go with. I would probably buy it again after finishing off this one.
Lipstick -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Pink Truffle

I decide to give it a try after reading so many good reviews here and I have to say I am glad I did. The quality of this stays on par with other lip butters I have. What truly stands out is it's color. It is a great MLBB color and I can see myself wearing it everyday.
Lipstick -Revlon - ColorBurst Lip Butter in Tutti Frutti
Melavia 3/13/2013 11:19:00 AM
I have been hearing great reviews about these lip butters. I was fortunate to find them on sale at one of our local drug mart. It costs me about 5 bucks each. The lip butter itself appears as a bright orange in the tube. However, when I put it on, the color is rather sheer and it is quite buildable. I have overall dark features. The lip butter turns into a nice coral color when I put it on. It complement my features and is quite flattering. The formula is very creamy. It will stay for a few hours and you definitely need to reapply it after eating or drinking. The package looks nice with the transparent cap. But I could understand if someone finds that cheap looking instead.
Misc Beauty Tools -Sephora - Precision Pore Cleansing Pad
Melavia 1/11/2013 1:11:00 PM
I bought this after reading the reviews here. I wanted something that helps me clean better but not really in the mood for a Clarisonic. I am very pleased with the result. Upon first use, I found it cleans way better than using my figures only. It also does a great job getting the dirt out of the pores around my nose where I cannot really get there with my hands. I have been using it for a few months now and still loving it. It is also very convenient to carry around. I just put it inside a ziplock bag. The silicone material makes it easy to clean and it dries fast. It seems to be quite durable with regular use.
Treatments (Eye) -Kiehls - Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

This is a moisturizer and performs fairly well for this purpose. Other than that, it does not help with dark circles or fine lines. I do notice that the puffiness has decreased every morning when I wake up. It keeps my eyes well hydrated through out the day as the winter here can be quite harsh and dry. I also put one layer on top of ANR eye serum every night to seal it in. Generally speaking it is quite good. The texture is creamy and does not get into my eyes at all. The down side is the packaging since it is a jar. Also, for a simple moisturizer, I find the price to be a bit high. I will be looking for a product that also deals with dark circles once I finish this one off.
I first got a small sample of this from a kit and used it for about a month. I definitely see improvements in the condition of my skin. It is smoother and scars fade quite quickly. I then purchased the full size bottle and I have to say it does not disappoint. I now wake up with a glow and have noticed that the hormonal break outs heal much faster than before. The small lines used to form on my forehead are almost all gone by now. My face is also fully hydrated against the harsh winter here. This is definitely a well-worth product although the price is a bit steep. The dropper design is very nice and I believe a bottle could last me quite a while.
Moisturizers -Korres - Yogurt Cream (Yoghurt Cream)
Melavia 1/8/2013 11:27:00 AM
I bought the Yogurt Regimen kit at a store a few month ago. It came with this cream as well as the mask. I use it as a night moisturizer on top of my ANR serum to seal it in. Also, when I was on my holiday up in the north, I use it as my daily moisturizer. So far, I have pretty good results. I feel my face is hydrated the whole night without making it oilier. It did feel a bit runny the first few time I use it but I get use to the texture after some time. The smell is not strong but pleasant. I only need to apply a thin layer and it would last me a long time. At the beginning, I found out that if I put too much on, my face would not absorb it so the cream turned into little bits and fell off my face.
Bought this to relief redness from a contact solution reaction. I switched to another type of contact solution and it was not moist enough. My eyes become dry; red and itchy in the afternoon. The relief is very fast but only lasts a few hours. I have read that it is not for daily use so I only apply it when my eyes are uncomfortable. I have not tried it on my pimples but i do have monthly breakouts and it would be great if i could reduce the redness before applying my concealer. The bottle is not large but lasts quite long. I might not repurchase the specific "visine" but probably will keep a bottle in stock
Lotions/ Creams -Neutrogena - Norwegian Formula Hand Cream

I bought one tube of the unscented type long time ago. The formula is very thick and it is in a semi-transparent white color. I find it to be a bit hard to spread out evenly and my hands feel a bit sticky. I think it would be a good overnight treatment but it is not very suitable for regular uses during the day time. Currently I have a small sample tube of the scented type in my makeup bag. It is a very good urgent relief during the day and can actually lasts a few washes. I think it would be a wonderful product for people with really dry and cracked hands. For me though, I would opt out for a lighter product unless i want rich overnight treatment.
I had some great experiences with Sephora by OPI so the first time I found Nicole by OPI at my local drugstore, I wanted to try it out. However, the retail price for this D/S line is only 1-2 dollar less than Sephora's and Sephora ones have a much bigger bottle too. Finally, I bought Top of My World from the JB collection for around $6 when it is on cleanrance. It is a translucent color with blue/green/purple glitters inside. It is a great polish for layering. I am currently wearing it on top of Sally Hansen's Pat on the Black. The effect is gorgerous. I have nothing against the bottle shape but not very found of the brush. It comes with the wide new brush, supposely makes the application easier. But I think it has the potential to make everything messier. The brush is too wide and thick, picks up way too much polish. It has not caused too much of a problem for me because the color i bought is actually translucent. I cannot imagine how much practice I would need if I purchased an opaque color instead. I read many people complain about its staying ability. I have not had problem with that yet. I am wearing a top coat and Sally Hansen Complete Salon has a very impressive staying power. TOMW is not a polish that i would wear alone so I probably will not have the chance to see how well it stands on its own.
Treatments -L'Oreal - Everpure Moisture Deep Restorative Masque
Melavia 1/26/2012 2:10:00 PM
Bought it on sale at my local drug store after reading many positive reviews here on MUA. I have the shampoo and conditioner set from this line, also the leave-in treatment. The leave-in treatment has not done much. This one however, is a very different story. It is a thick cream stored in a platic tub. The smell is the same rosemary mint like any other products from this line. I am not a fan of the tub but I enjoy the smell. I think it is very refreshing. A little goes a long way for this mask. I work my fingers through my hair with this product and leave in for at least three minutes as instructed. Right after I rinse it off the first application, it made my hair very soft. The ends are better moistured and I rarely have any frizze or flyaway hairs. My hair is soft and silky. Since my hair is pretty damaged from regular heat styling and hair dye, I purchased many similar products. I have to say I see the most dramatic results in this one just after one use. It continues to perform well but I think i need to be careful is not to use too much. If I put too much on, it is very hard to rinse it all off which in turn makes my hair greasy.
Lotions/ Creams -Clarins - Hand and Nail Treatment Cream
Melavia 1/25/2012 1:23:00 PM
I got this in sample size with other purchases. The color is off white and has a distinctive herbal smell. It is not unpleasant, just different. One thing I absolutely love about this product is that it absorbs almost immediately. There are no sticky hands and it is still moisturize enough. The tube I got is like a travel size yet still have quite some product in it. I noticed the retail price can be kind of expensive. I would not repurchase it in the near future because i have quite a few tubes of hand creams at the moment. This is one of the better ones in term of performance but I will wait until I tried everything else before decide to repurchase.
I have this in cherry and strawberry. They both smell quite nice. The stick can be easily twisted out and back. The cherry one is a very reddish color with very subtle shimmers where as the strawberry one has this pinkies red shade. On my pigmented lips, the strawberry one seems too sheer and the cherry one just gives me that extra shade and shine. Both are very nurishing. They are not sticking and leaving ugle color residuels around the edges of my lips. The stick is a bit thick so percise application can be a bit hard. It takes time to get use to it. Each one has 4.8g of content which can last quite a while. The price is less than $3 here at my local drug store. i can also pair it up with my lip stain or lip gloss to create different looks.
Lip Gloss -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lip Gloss (general)
Melavia 1/18/2012 12:24:00 PM
I bought this in coral reef because Revlon was on sale at my local drug stores. I read raves about this line here on MUA so I just could not let the chance pass when I saw it. The package is really sleek and sturdy. It does not look like d/s brand product at all. The size is easy to carry around and the wand picks up just the right amount of product every time. I hardly notice any smell to it so it does not bother me at all. I am not really a lip gloss fan because I think they are mostly heavy and sticky. This one is much better than the others I have used such as the juicy tubes. It goes on creamy and smoothly. The particular color gives nice gloss but no shimmer. It does not dry out my lips and lasts already for a lip gloss. I still occationally have my hair stick on my lips though. The color looks more coral/orange like inside the tube but turns into a really nice pink on my lips. It complements my skin tone nicely without being too dramatic. If I get myself into the habit of wearing lip glosses, I would like to try more colors from this line.
I bought this in Victorian when it was on sale at my local drug store. I like the idea of this product where they put lip stain and balm into one. Because lip stains usually dry lips out, the balm is suppose to help that problem. The staying power is there for sure. I do not need to reapply during the day from 9-5 at work where I eat and drink. The color is a lovely pinky mauve so it really touches up on my natural lips. The stain dries out really fast and does not transfer to the surfaces where my lips touch. The problem lies in the design of the product and somewhat in the formula. The balm cannot be twisted back so I am really careful when using it. The marker type of applicator can be tricky to use. I cannot apply it evenly and it is hard to tell how much product does the applicator deposit. The marker head also feels a bit dry out after a few uses. I hope it does not stop working. The stain can easily settle into the lip lines if you do not have perfectly smooth and exfoliated lips. It also dries my lips during the day so I am forced to apply the balm every few hours. I tried to put one layer of lip balm first then the stain then the balm again. This seems to give me a better result in terms of dryness. This is my first lip stain and I would like to try some other ones. I just think the product has much left to be desired. Unless I am really on the go, I probably would not repurchase this in the near future.
