Tinted Moisturizer -Laura Mercier - Tinted Moisturizer SPF 20
MayaFrasier 3/22/2013 1:16:00 AM
I really don't like foundations because they feel like I'm wearing a mask of paint on my face. This works really well for sheer coverage and evening out my skin tone. Paired with concealer, it does wonders. I wear it over top Too Faced Primed and Poreless primer and my skin looks flawless. My shade is Bisque, which surprised me because it seemed light for my tan, Mediterranean skin tone. If you are going to get this, I don't recommend getting it online because finding your shade can really be tricky.

Blush -Wet 'n' Wild - Color Icon Blush 831E Pearlescent Pink
MayaFrasier 3/22/2013 1:07:00 AM
So gorgeous. My only complaint is the unfortunate packaging. But at four dollars, my argument is just not valid. Not going to give a long rave on this product because it's pretty basic. Gorgeous natural healthy pink color. Fine milled sparkles. Easy application. Natural glow. And done. The only thing I would suggest is using a very light hand with these because they are very pigmented.

Palettes -Urban Decay - Feminine Palette
MayaFrasier 3/22/2013 1:03:00 AM
First of all I'm going to rave about the packaging. One of the many reasons I love high end products is because the packaging is so cute and lovable. This particular palette's zip case is a feminine Gothic design that I just can't get over. You can pop the makeup out and use the pouch for other things, and then pop the makeup back in when you want thanks to the magnets in this case. So on to the product. I have tried every shade (Bordello, Skimp, AC/DC, Gunmetal, Hijack and Lost) except for the gloss, which seems to be a pretty basic plumping nude (Wallflower). I just have to say this has given me a whole new outlook on Urban Decay. I have tried out other UD products, but just by swatching these, I found these shadows much more satisfying than other glimmer shadows I've tried before. These shadows are pastel shades and crease shades turned up several watts. They have a very smooth and bright glimmer with metallic undertones (they do have fallout if you're too aggressive or not careful). These are sooo pigmented I don't even know where to begin. I personally like the brown in this palette better than the black because I'm not that great with dark smoky eyes. To be honest though, my favorite shade in this palette is Hijack. It is the only blue to have ever worked on my very dark brown eyes. It lasts a decent amount of time without primer but definitely lasts a lot longer with primer. There is truly no words to describe a few of the shades in here. I feel most palettes haven't even reached this color level. Never seen anything like it in my two years as a makeup junkie.

Styling Products -Neutrogena - Triple Moisture Silk Touch Leave-In Cream for Med/Coarse Thick Hair
MayaFrasier 12/30/2012 12:28:00 AM
I have had this product for several years. I pulled this out of my linen closet two weeks ago and gave this another try. May I please start out by saying bleh? I have dry and slightly damaged dark, dark brown hair and this made it look greasy. The leave-in at first made my hair softer (even though it looked greasy). Then I noticed a plastic-like consistency to my hair and realized this was not good for it, at all. Now I realize what one girl may despise, another gal may worship, so don't take my word for it, my sister loves this stuff. But this did not work for me. I might give it one or two more goes but this is probably going to still seem like an average drugstore leave-in. So my rating is average, 3. Sorry to bring the rating down. :P May I recommend Biosilk or Morrocanoil? They are high end, but you get what you pay for.

Moisturizers -Vaseline - Petroleum Jelly
MayaFrasier 12/28/2012 5:57:00 AM
Okay I know this may sound crazy, but you should just throw all your expensive anti-aging products in the garbage, like right now. If you can stand the gooey feeling for an hour or so, a few dabs of this on your face really helps contain your youthfull appearance. My mums friends (50-55) have used Vaseline in place of expensive anti-aging serums and it has worked out 10x better for them than the people who actually use anti-aging products. You can buy all the fancy shmancy lotions in the world but nothing moisturizes quite like Vaseline. I use their line of lotions and it really helps my dry skin. Petroleum Jelly never fails.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Line Stiletto liquid eyeliner
MayaFrasier 12/28/2012 4:28:00 AM
This is such an amazing product. The felt tip is long and makes it easy to apply. It's also easily correctable if my clumsy hands make a mistake. To top it off, the formula lasts for a reasonable amount of time and is very pigmented. I love the sleek container, makes it so easy to store. Definately my new choice for liquid liner.

Treatments -Biosilk - Silk Therapy
MayaFrasier 12/28/2012 1:32:00 AM
I like this product a lot. It works very well and doesn't weigh down my hair. Most hair products I tend to avoid because they leave my hair all chunky and gross but this works exceptionally well. A bit pricey but not unexpected. You get what you pay for. It doesn't do much for styling but it gives it a healthy shine after using heat tools. A little dime sized amount is enough, if it's more than that it can get a little oily looking. I personally like it and would buy it again.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
MayaFrasier 12/28/2012 12:57:00 AM
I personally didn't like this product very much. It wasn't a smart buy, like at all. It clumped consistently, flaked and it made my lashes wider instead of taller. It looked like I had tar on my lashes. It also doesn't layer well. It acted like velcro and got little pieces of sweater strings stuck to it along with my eyeshadow powder. Another problem was that it doesn't dry well, and even when it does the tiniest bit of moisture makes it run like Niagra Falls. The container was a bit chunky for my taste although I didn't mind that much. I'm going to stick to L'Oreal. Would NOT buy again.

Lip Treatments -Maybelline - Baby Lips lip balm
MayaFrasier 12/28/2012 12:28:00 AM
I liked this product very much. I got this in 'quenched' and it works okay. The balm doesn't last longer than about an hour but it works as a great base for lipsticks. Really smoothes out the colors. It works a bit better than normal chapsticks. I thought the container was cute and it really slicks on well. Would buy again.

Lip Treatments -Burt's Bees - Beeswax Lip Balm
MayaFrasier 12/28/2012 12:13:00 AM
Well this looks like your average chapstick, at first. The packagings not anything new, its a bit pricier than normal drugstore products. I got the mango variant of this and it worked pretty well. It kept my lips hydrated for several hours. I like that its organic and it's waxy texture, it really keeps the moisture locked in for a couple hours. Works exceptionally well except it got stuck whenever I tried to twist it up. Container could be improved both functionally and aesthetically. Would buy again.

Shampoo -Pantene - Pantene Restoratives Anti-Breakage Shampoo
MayaFrasier 12/27/2012 11:55:00 PM
This product seemed like a good idea at the beginning. It advertised that it would aid in anti-breakage. I have thick, dry and slightly damaged hair. While I was washing my hair it appeared that it was working, it lathered nicely, felt smooth and smelled great. Except once I got out my hair felt like plastic. It wasn't dry, but the texture felt all wrong. My hair snapped easily while combing and was impossible to style. No volume and quite a bit of frizz. Not great. I'm going to stick to Redken and Morrocanoil.
