Hair Removal -eos - Shave Cream Ultra Moisturizing Pomegranate Raspberry
MarleyPugh 4/5/2010 10:19:00 PM
First - If you bought this expecting it to lather, read the package! It does not lather up, it's a creamy lotion! Second- This stuff smells DIVINE. I'm a sucker for anything pomegranate, and this is fabulous. Third- perfect, smooth shave, with no mess. Fourth- leaves my legs very soft, no razor burn or shave bumps! LOVE IT!!

Brows -Clinique - Instant lift for brows
MarleyPugh 2/14/2010 9:47:00 PM
I love this pencil! I'm a dark brunette, and use the color Soft Brown. Dark Brown was almost black. The consistency of the pencil is waxy enough to keep brow hairs in place, and it lasts all day. It's definitely not a harsh or obvious brow color. It just looks like you have full, nicely shaped brows! The highlighter is nice too, but as I'm very fair, it's a little darker than I usually use under my brows. I will use it on the inner corners of my eyes instead. I just wish this was cheaper than $15, as there isn't that much product- I just got it, so I don't know how long it will last, but I will buy it again.

Mascara -Clinique - Lash Power Curling
MarleyPugh 2/6/2010 1:41:00 AM
I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this yet! I started using this mascara when Clinique released it, and I've loved it ever since. It gives me great definition and length. Not as much volume, but as I like a lot more length than anything, that's okay with me. The curved brush helps my lashes hold a curl better, and the "tubing" formula comes off easily when I wash my face at night. Love it- only department store mascara I'll buy!

Polishes -Essie - Tomboy No More
MarleyPugh 10/4/2009 12:28:00 AM
This is probably my HG fall red- it's a deep wine red with warm undertones. It applies smoothly, and with a topcoat, my manicure lasted a week with no chips. I love the deep shade with my pale skin- very fall appropriate- not too bright, not too brown, just a great deep red. Love it!

Samples -Ulta - Glam & Go! 52 Piece Blockbuster
MarleyPugh 8/21/2009 6:40:00 PM
Ok, this comes in a cool pink satin case. The products are set in thin plastic on each layer. I love ULTA eyeshadow, so I tried them out in the set, and most of them had the great ULTA texture and pigmentation. The blushes were ok, and I didn't even try the glosses set in pans, because I don't like lip products you have to use your finger or a brush with. I took the plastic out of each tray, and popped all the eyeshadows out- they're held in with barely a dab of glue, so I just used a butter knife. I made a CD case palette (do a board search- they're easy to make) and I fit all the shadows in that. Now I have a great collection of ULTA shadows, and a pink satin two-story case that I'm keeping my pigments in! Definitely a good buy!

Polishes -OPI - Over The Taupe
MarleyPugh 6/19/2009 5:56:00 PM
LOVE this taupe! I like it much more than YDKJ- it's warmer and more flattering to a yellow-undertoned person. It's also just a touch lighter. I'm NC15, and this suits my skintone way better than most of the taupe polishes I've tried. Love it!

Polishes -Zoya - Flowie
MarleyPugh 6/17/2009 4:46:00 PM
I am on the hunt for the perfect "coffee with lots of cream" nude shade. This looked great on the website, so I threw it on my order when I did my polish swap with Zoya. Flowie is a warm neutral light brown, that tends to turn a bit orange on my yellow undertoned skin (NC15). Two coats for opacity, and a nice even application with a great formula. Used CND quick dry top coat, and after a day of typing and opening packages, I see a teensy bit of tipwear on my index fingers, but nothing abnormal or surprising. The shade isn't my favorite...I have a feeling it will be going to my mom. The search continues....

Lipstick -MAC - Lustering
MarleyPugh 10/2/2007 11:47:00 PM
I will definitely buy again if I ever use it up! A gorgeous sheer watermelon color that brightens up my face. I'm very pale, and this is just enough color- not scary, but rosy and luminous. I love the lustre formulas of MAC lipstick- not drying to me at all (like the amplified creams and frosts are on me). I would rec this to almost anyone~

Liquid -Clinique - Supermoisture Makeup
MarleyPugh 9/27/2007 2:07:00 AM
A very nice new foundation! I'm thankful that FINALLY Clinique has some shades light enough for me (NC15). I can wear the two lightest shades in this foundation without looking masklike. It's creamy and goes on smooth. Although I have combo skin, I think this is comfortable to wear- doesn't make me feel greasy at all. The one thing I'm not fond of is the smell- it's not strong, but it is there- reminds me a little of greasepaint. All in all, will definitely keep using this.

Lipstick -Revlon - Shiny Sheers - Peachy Sheen
MarleyPugh 2/2/2007 5:28:00 PM
IN LOVE!! Wow, this color is gorgeous. It's a perfect shimmery peachy color that adds a pop of color to your face without being overdone. It's going to be an amazing summer lipstick. It's light and nonsticky, with no scent at all. There is some very small silver shimmer in this, which i can feel when I rub my lips together, but it's not giant gritty glitter at all. Must buy!

Lip Gloss -MAC - Heartfelt Pink
MarleyPugh 12/11/2006 11:00:00 AM
First lipglass I may buy a backup of, if I can still find it. The perfect light pink lipgloss- not too much frost, just a perfect, happy light pink. I can wear this year round (NW20, Brown hair, Green eyes) with a variety of looks. I've never gone through a lipglass so quickly- if you are looking for a nice neutral pale pink, this is a great color for you!

Lip Gloss -Christian Dior - DiorKiss- Grape Freeze
MarleyPugh 11/28/2006 4:34:00 PM
A beautiful sheer lavender with iridescent glitter! Complements cool eye looks well, without overpowering. The glitter is not gritty, and the texture of the gloss is quite thick. However, it's not terribly sticky! The scent is mild grape Kool-aid, with no taste. It's long-lasting for a gloss, and though $19 is high for a lipgloss, the unique shade and nice staying power make it worth it. I'm a cool PPP with brown hair, green eyes for reference.

Blush -Laura Geller - Blush n Brighten Pink Grapefruit
MarleyPugh 9/18/2006 9:05:00 PM
What a lovely product! This is similar to MAC's Mineralized Skinfinishes, without any chunky glitter, and more pigmented. It is a light nude pink with beige swirls. It goes on with a shimmer, but not glitter. When I apply it (as a PPP), it's a nice pigmented pink glow. The compact is fairly sturdy, but this product seems to be fragile. I wouldn't carry this around in my purse for fear of breakage. I can't wait to try the other colors!

Lipstick -MAC - Zandra
MarleyPugh 9/11/2006 6:51:00 PM
Very cute color- I do wish MAC had released this in the spring, rather than the fall, as I don't see myself wearing this too often in the months to come. It's a light bubblegum pink with no shimmer- the closest regular line color to it would be Scanty, but it is more of a true pink than Scanty, and more flattering on my NW20 complexion. The packaging is adorable- cute little metallic squiggles. Definitely glad I got this! edit: I think Scanty actually looks better. This lipstick began to look too plasticky and fake, I ended up swapping it away.

Lip Gloss -Prescriptives - Rain Gloss- Fig Splash
MarleyPugh 8/29/2006 5:54:00 PM
This is my new favorite gloss. First, the color. A just-bitten berry color, with no shimmer. It's a great fall color- not quite burgundy, not quite red- somewhere in the middle. I'm a PPP with dark hair and eyes, and this is a great contrast with my skintone. The smell and texture are fantastic- the smell is like cherries, but not too sweet- just fresh and delicious. The texture is light and slippery, truly like water on my mouth, but the staying power is good for a gloss. My only complaint would be the tube- it's opaque metal, so I can't see how much I have left. But I will definitely wear this all winter and repurchase when I run out.
