Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Lamas Beauty Chinese Herb Stimulating Shampoo
MamtaAUB 3/29/2013 3:41:00 PM
I have spent years and money searching for my holy grail hair care line. I have tried Wen, Kerastase, Phyto, Alterna, Fekkai, Philip b., John Masters, DermOrganic - all had some positives with some major drawbacks - lack of performance, stripped color, left my hair feeling dirty, left my hair dry or left it a tangly mess! I discovered Peter Lamas thru the media article on Jessica Simpson's favorite shampoo. This line is amazing! When I turned 35 my hair started shedding like crazy ...and was always super tangled no matter what shampoo I used. I could see my hair line thinning out - and was sad that I may have to live with this. Enter Chinese herbs - This line cleans my hair without stripping or chemicals and leaves it feeling thicker and reduces hair shed. I've tried natural/vegan lines before - they just didn't perform - but this is all together something different! I have the conditioner also which I like - nice and lightweight. The spray and cream in this line are also great - something about one of them is making my hair feel heavy so I'm still experimenting but definitely worth exploring. If your hair issues sound simliar to mine - try this line!! I have my husband and mom using this line also with great results. I can't wait to try more products..

Shampoo -DermOrganic - Sulfate-Free Conditioning Shampoo
MamtaAUB 1/6/2013 6:14:00 PM
I should've listened to the previous reviewer! This shampoo left my fine straight ish hair tangled and greasy looking! I was really hoping it would work as I'm now on a co wash kick for 2013! It made my fine hair shed a little less than sulfate shampoo but shed it did. Glad I got the 7 dollar bottle to try! I will use this to now shave my legs!! Or give it to my hubby!

Shampoo -Alterna - Caviar Anti-Aging Moisture Shampoo
MamtaAUB 5/29/2012 10:42:00 PM
I'm so surprised by the low ratings here! This is the first sulfate free shampoo I've actually been happy with! It leaves my hair cleansed yet moisturized. Most sulfate free shampoos leave my hair gross feeling or full of residue because I use some silicon products in my hair..but this shampoo foams up enough to get rid of product build up and leaves hair soft and full of body. I have fine, colored hair and really enjoy this shampoo. My holy grail has been Philip B. Russian Imperial but now I alternate with this so that my hair gets a break from sulfates. With this I don't need conditioner (I don't normally need conditioner regardless..but esp with this shampoo) - I use a leave in/detangler and blow dry. I have used it 3-4 times before writing this review since most first tries are amazing ..and results fade soon after. Love it.

Blush -NARS - Liberte
MamtaAUB 5/26/2012 3:46:00 PM
This blush is perfect for warm skin tones! It has depth and adds warmth to my skin without the look of hey I'm wearing blush! It's easy to blend like all nars blushes and no glitter. It renders lighter than what you see in the pan so don't be intimidated. I gave this four stars as it may only work in the summer but will see how it looks in the fall and winter to confirm that it is universal through seasons. Love this purchase!

Styling Products -Oribe - Après Beach Wave and Shine Spray

This is not a bad product; however, it just isnt for me. I love the dry texturizing spray so I assumed this would be another winner. It does give good results when used with a curling iron - however, if you already have the dry texturizing spray and you have fine/straightish hair, you will not need this to achieve that look. I can see this product being a HG for girls with wavy/curly hair though....for me, it just would take too much effort to make it worth the $35. I'll stick with the texturizing spray!

Blush -NARS - Gina
MamtaAUB 5/2/2011 5:19:00 PM
I LOVE this blush!! I have tried various shades of NARS blushes at Sephora and have never been that happy. I'm olive skin..and am not a fan of their blushes w/ glitter (who wants to go to the office with sparkles on their face?) ..others were too loud...and this is perfect for my skin tone. It shows on my skin tone w/o screaming I am wearing blush...and blends beautifully. Gilda is nice..but Gina is more subtle and offers the perfect glow. This and NARS laguna bronzer..and you're set!

Shampoo -John Frieda - Anytime Volume Refresher

Ok..so if you love KMS Hair Makeover Spray quality dry shampoo...this will be your best friend. It retails for $4.99 at Bed bath and beyond (i got it for $3.99 with a coupon)......while KMS is amazing, it's a little expensive ($15-$18 for 5 oz)..not bad when compared to Sephora brands. However, I go through dry shampoo quickly as I avoid washing my hair more than once or twice a week......and this is a great option! it has the same ingredients as KMS minus the extracts/froo froo stuff. I love that this product doesn't give hair a white/gray residue........and actually sometimes overuse will make your hair look TOO clean ....ha! I love the cooling tingle it gives to the scalp.. this is my new favorite...I have used Oscar Blandis and other dry shampoos that are even cheaper..but my main issue is the ingredients in these dry shampoos are toxic ...and I have concern that long term use will have a negative effect on me...This product doesn't have any toxic ingredients..so another bonus!! I hope they never discontinue!

Blush -NARS - Douceur
MamtaAUB 4/13/2011 7:41:00 PM
LOVE THIS!! This color is officially a part of their full collection...I was initially nervous to fall in love w/ this if I couldn't repurchase. I'm olive skinned and this gives me a perfect shade of sublte flush. Most NARS blushes are either too pigmented or too glittery for me..but this is NATURAL and I just love it. Again, this will not give you a "i'm wearing blush" obvious look but a subtle natural glow flush. home run, NARS! --- Edit: this doesn't appear on my olive/tan skin..better suited for paler complexions!

Blush -Tarte - Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Blush in Exposed Tarte Blush
MamtaAUB 2/25/2011 6:55:00 PM
LOVE! I have olive skin, dark hair...and this shade is perfect for me. I dont care for blushes that are uber bright and un-natural looking. This shade adds some color to my cheeks without saying "look at my blush!" .....this is a close match to NARS limited edition Doceur from winter 2010...but lasts much much longer...and is very pigmented..use a light hand ladies!

Conditioner -Shu Uemura - Moisture Velvet
MamtaAUB 2/9/2011 6:32:00 PM
This is for the treatment. I wanted to love it so. I've read great reviews elsewhere. But, this product just weighed my hair down and left it feeling coated/waxy..too much silicone I suppose. I have fine hair and was not for me.

Styling Products -Shu Uemura - Satin Design
MamtaAUB 2/9/2011 6:29:00 PM
Oh Shu Uemura. I've wanted to love you. I wanted to love Absolue Essence - huge fail. Tried to fall in love with Moisture Velvet treatment but it left my hair weighed down and coated. And now this. Satin Design also was a letdown...it's just kind of a blah product. I'm not sure what it does as my hair felt soft..yet it looked so dull after this product. I've returned all the Shu (art of hair) products..and will stick to their makeup line only. My hair loves Kerastase and I will stick with them. sad.

Styling Products -Kerastase - Elixir Ultime
MamtaAUB 2/9/2011 6:25:00 PM
To be honest, I probably don't have the right texture of hair for this product. It left my hair with a greasy/oily feel. I have fine hair but a lot of it..and this product weighed it down. Oleo Relax suits my hair much better..as it is runnier and not a combination of 3 oils. this went back to kerastase.

Shampoo -Oscar Blandi - Pronto Dry Shampoo
MamtaAUB 1/31/2011 4:57:00 PM
Love, love, LOVE this. I have tried almost every type of dry shampoo out there..sprays/powders...and this just fits the bill for everything a dry shampoo should be. I have fine/thin hair..and this product instantly perks up my hair with body and volume on day 2-6 post wash (yes I only wash my hair once a week..max twice). I can go for a run and shower..and use this in my hair and it restores my hair style pre-run. It's like magic!! I have tried other powders (fekkai, alterna)..and let me tell you..if you want volume/style and clean hair..buy this! the 2.5 oz will last you forever. if you're in a pinch..just use plain corn starch for a cheaper alternative!
