It is a great moisturizing product in the summer if you have dry skin like me. In the winter, I need to layer a face cream on top. It is a very solid moisturizing product. I always keep one bottle at hand.

Moisturizers -HABA - VC-Lotion

I am in a love-hate relationship with VC lotion. It's a very good lotion - it contains vitamin C derivative so it brightens skin; it is moisturizing, especially when used together with squalane; my skin absorbs this lotion completely. There's no sticky feeling. But you need to use it within a month or two, at most three; otherwise, the lotion starts to degenerate, and becomes smelly yellow water... I used to buy extra bottles when it was on sale, but all of them went bad when I opened them 3 months later... What a waste of money... I had to threw them away.

Polishes -Lippmann Collection - My Romance

Although the price is way too high and the packaging is not so girly, the color of this specific product is too cute to not buy again! I have been looking for a natural yet cute pink nail polish for years and ended up having a huge stash of them. But Lippmann’s "My Romance" is the only one I kept going back to. It mimics our nails’ natural pinkish color with a little exaggeration. It makes your fingers look longer even if you have short nails like I do. It’s easy to brush on and dries evenly. It’s a very good quality nail polish. I would definitely buy more when mine runs out. I am crossing my fingers that they will never discontinue this color!

Cleansers -Shiseido - Benefiance Creamy Cleansing Foam

Oh my. It's by far my favorite face cleanser. I am a skincare junkie, so if you hear me rave about some product, it must be good! This cleanser is very gentle; yet, it cleanse well. I have dry skin in the winter. This cleanser removes my makeup residue but does not strip off moisture. I love it!! I just bought two more tubes during sephora's FF sale.

Shampoo -Kiehls - Rice & Wheat Volumizing Shampoo

I absolutely adore this shampoo!! It smells heavenly, cleanse great, and volumizing well. I wash my hair at night. The next day, it looks shiny, healthy, and it has volume!! I love love love this shampoo!! It doesn't foam too much. I guess it's because it doesn't have too much chemical foaming agent. But it doesn cleanse well. I have fine, long hair, so I need to use a little more (about a little more than a quarter size) for my whole head. At this rate, it'll run out very soon, so I don't use it everyday. I wish kiehl's carry a bigger liter size. I would definitely buy it.

Shampoo -Kiehls - Amino Acid Shampoo

I wash my hair everyday, so I am always looking for mild shampoo that can be used everyday. I am glad that I found this one. It smells great (very soothing) and cleans nicely. It doesn't foam a lot. I think it's because it doesn't contain too much chemical foaming agent. I alternate it with Aveda shampure during the regular days. On the days I need extra volume, I use kiehl's rice and wheat volumizing shampoo or ojoin. All in all, it is a very gentle everyday shampoo.

Lip Treatments -Kiehls - Lip Balm #1

I bought it after reading so many good reviews about this balm. I used it for a couple of weeks, and it moisturized just ok, just like any drugstore lip balm in a greasier version. I used it in the late summer, and one day after getting off the humid, hot NYC subway, I was surprised to find my bag being all greased up. It turned out my kiehl's #1 lip balm melted!!!!!! I couldn't believe it. It's in the tube and it literally melted in my bag and the 'oil' came out of the tube and stained everything in my bag including my bag!! On top of that, the lip balm smelled very very bad-- just like cooking oil (went bad). I thought it's my fault, so I went back to the store and bought another one. It happened again. I thought to myself, is it just me? So I bought it again... Yes, it happened again. About 30 dollars later, I decided that this balm is not for me. At least, it's not for a student who needs to take public transportation all the time and running between classes under the sun.

Treatments (Eye) -Kiehls - Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado

After reading so many good reviews about this eye cream, I finally purchased it at Kiehl's. This cream is very thick but not moisturing enough. There is a filmy feeling around my eyes after putting it on, and the cream sits on top of my skin for less than one hour, and then it's gone. My undereye area goes back to dryness. It is not a good eye product for dry skin in the winter. Perhaps I will try it again in the summer, but for now, I won't use it.

Top/Base Coats -Paul & Joe - Base Coat

It is the only nail polish base I use!
I like to play with nail colors, so I change nail colors all the time. A good nail polish base really helps me keep my nails in good condition. I like to use dark nail colors, and this nail polish base keeps my nails shiiny and strong. On top of that, it smells heavenly! I have never found any nail polish smell so good, and all Paul & Joe nail polishes smell like roses. I fee so pretty just smelling them!! The package is devine. Every bottle is like an art piece. It's a girl's dream to have a drawer full of P&J!! Love it!!

Cleansers -Fancl - Mild Cleansing Oil

It's my favorite cleansing oil. I've tried many brands over the years before I finally settle down with this little green guy. It's light, gentle and effective. It removes my face and eye makeup in one simple step without any irritation. It is perfect in everyway - if ony it can be a litte cheaper. It is probably the best cleansing oil on the market.

Moisturizers -DHC - Olive Virgin Oil

After reading so many good review about this product, I finally purchased it last month. I have used it for more than a month now, and I have to say I am very disappointed. It makes my face very greasy-looking but does not retain moisture on my face as promised. My face feels tight and uncomfortable withi 20 minutes after application. My complexion becomes dark and dull. Initially, I used it day and night, and then I decided to use it only at night. I am trying to finish this bottle as soon as possible and I don't think I am going to purchase it again. Very disappointing.

Masks -DHC - Mineral Mask

This is one of the best detox mask I've used. It's efficient and dry quickly. It doesn't take a long time before I can wash it and feel clean about my skin. The only downside is its smell. It doesn't have a pleasant smell for sure. I think it's from the substance contained in the mask and since it doesn't have any added fragrance, it doesn't smell good. Well, I can deal with that. I would buy it when it's on sale at DHC.

Lipstick -Christian Dior - Addict Ultra Nude in Skin Beige 220

This is by far my most satisfying lipstick purchase. The packaging is adorable--pinkish-transparent case with DIOR on it. The color is gorgeous-- skin-toned beige with a brush of light pink, perfect for all skin colors. It moisturizes moderately, so I still need to put on a little lip balm before putting it on; otherwise my lips get chapped in about one hour (oh, well, maybe it's because it's very cold and dry right now). The only drawback, if I have to find faults, is its lasting power. When I just put it on, it's beautiful and just the kind of color I want, but within one hour without eating or drinking, the color fades, and gradually it's gone. I need to re-apply constantly to keep the beautiful color show. Given its weak lasting power, I would still purchase it again. I am happy that Dior didn't make it limited edition.

Cleansers -Clinique - Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm

I finally found a makeup remover that I can travel with! I am a DHC's cleaning oil user, but cleaning oil is very difficult to travel with. One time it spills all over in my check-in luggage, even though I carefully packed it. I guess it's from the extremely high pressure in the airplane cabin. Anyway, this balm is awesome. It is solid, but when you message it onto your face, it melts into a creamy texture. I love it! On top of everything, it removes everything on my face! I wear quite a lot makeup, and it does it great job without irritating my sensitive skin. It's a really nice product. I would recommend to my friends, definitely.
