i have the shades candy bar (bright coral) and my favorite milkshake (everyday pink). each tuube of gloss has 4 ml of product in it. i adoree the glosses! icant describe the scent of the glosses but i really like it. the texture of the gloss is smooth it does not go on streaky which some lipglosses do. it is thick as in you have a thick liptreatment on.its like a cream thats a little sticky! the color is opaque enough that you will see the color but not as opaque as a lipstick. i will buy all the shades if i could! theyre under three dollars in canada. the staying power is great. they stay on for a couple of hours! definitely recommend them!
Mascara -Essence - I Love Extreme - Volume Mascara
Makeupobsession22 7/26/2012 11:43:00 AM
I thought this mascara was absolutely amazing at first. it gave great volume and length, totally dramatic which is what i always loook for in a mascara.but ever since i started using it, i felt as if my lashes were falling out more. i was so disappointed that this mascara made my lashes fall out.i stopped using it to check if it was actually the mascara that was making my lashes sparse, when i stopped using it my lashes went back to normal. i dont know if it was just me, but i will never buy this mascara again.
the original great lash is tons different from this one! this one gave me great volume and length and its a bit clumpy but i think the cone shape wand is the factor to clumping. the tube stopper doesnt wipe of enough product off of the tip of the wand which is way smaller than the base of the conical shaped wand. i looove the packaging! it gives me volume and length but i tend to find flakes and smudges throughout the day especially since its summer. my lashes do feel hard with it on but i dont mind because i do take it off well at night! overall there are tons of mascaras out there for me to try but if i had the chance i probably would buy this again in the future!
i like this mascara for defining every lash. it does not clump them together after one thick coat of this mascara. the wand is slightly curved but i dont think it holds the curls any better than any mascara! i like it for quite a natural look but other than that i dont think i would repurchase it. it doesnt give a spidery look to my lashes but it doesnt give a ton of volume or length. overall i think it is more of a defining and enhancing mascara! but i do recommend it if you want to try it, its just not amazing but its still good!
Mascara -New York Color - Sky Rise Lengthening Mascara
Makeupobsession22 7/26/2012 11:26:00 AM
i got this mascara a couple of days ago on a whim because it doesnt hurt to have a couple of opened mascaras at the same time. this mascara is extremely natural, its lengthening and it could get a little clumpy when you put on a couple more coats of it. it doesnt give my lashes the spidery look, gives them a little bit of volume but i would say after two coats of it, it gives quite a bit of length! i wouldnt repurchase it because its not outstanding but i do recommend it if you want to try it! it barely flakes or smudges. and its usually on sale at walmart for 5 dollars with city curls mascara, great if you just want a natural look but nothing dramatic!
Lip Treatments -The Body Shop - Born Lippy Lip Balm
Makeupobsession22 6/30/2012 10:11:00 AM
I got a raspberry lip balm last year when it was on sale. i was going through my makeup the other day and i found it sitting there in a drawer and i started using it because it wanted to get some use out of it before it expired! i guess i forgot how terrible this lipbalm was. i piled on a thick layer before i went to bed and i loved the way it smelled and the gloss and tint it gave off. i woke up with chapped lips! i didnt believe it was this lip balm doing all these horrible things to my lips so i put some more on 20 minutes ago and it just totally disappeared and my lips are dry again. i will not repurchase this product ever again. it regularly costs 7-8 dollars, it is definitely a waste of money :/
Lip Gloss -The Body Shop - Born Lippy in Raspberry
Makeupobsession22 2/11/2012 10:59:00 PM
THIS PRODUCT ISNT AMAZING BUT ITS A CLOSE DUPE TO MAC'S TENDERTONES! i just picked up a tendertone yesterday and i already had this born lippy balm for ages. so i compared them and i think i found a dupe! mac ones are better but theyre close enough for me! they have almost the same consistency in the pot, on the lips, i like the tendertones better. the body shop balms feel thinner compared to the mac balms. these retail for around 7.50 and the mac ones retail for 18 dollars canadian . the mac ones have SPF in them and these dont but these come in different scents. the tendertones provide more moisturazation but i htink theyre close enough for the idea of a moisturizing gloss in a pot! (:
this soap is absolutelyy gorgeous! the honey comb on top of the soap is really cute for decoration. some people can find it annoying but i end up using the top for an exfoliant. the soap itself is really creamy and moisturizing. the smell stays on your skin after the shower for a couple of hours. (if you put your nose up to your skin to sniff it only). for a slice of soap, it is pretty expensive, considering you can get a whoole bottle of body wash at walmart or your drugstore for less than five dollars. buut i find if i get a slice of soap at aorund $35, it can last me quite a while. to make the soap last longer, cut it up into smaller chunks then use it. i think the soap is worth the money so i definitely recommend it! i would keep repurchasing over and over again (:
rock star soap is absolutely amazingg! the price of rock star is pretty expensive, but other than that i would definitely repurchase. it lathers up amazingly and the scent lingers on your skin a little too! it smells like really sweet candy. this soap is really girly and i think i could use this year round just because its not drying on the skin and the scent is perfect for all seasons. this is one of my favourite scents from LUSH and i really recommend this soap! i would never get sick of the scent of rock star soap. i would recommend it for gifts too!
i really like the godmother soap. it lathers up really easily and the sccent lingers on your skin for a while. when you first smell it straight from a bar of godmother, its really sweet and strong. but when its in the shower and its lathered up wiht water, the scent is just right for my taste! the only downside to this soap is, because the scent is so strong, a lot of my soaps that i store next to the godmother soap end up smelling a little like the godmother. I would probably repurchase this again but i would have to find a new storage system!
Moisturizers -Cetaphil - Daily Facial Moisturizer SPF15
Makeupobsession22 9/25/2011 6:17:00 PM
i was so disappointed with this product! The first time i used it i got a burning sensation around my forehead and hairline. after a month i saw it sitting on my vanity, so i decided to give it another try, it worked! i thought i finally found the perfect moisturizer for my skin. at first i used three quarters of a pea sized amount on my skin and by midday it left my skin kind of greasy! and i have a SUPER oily t-zone. so i lowered the amount i used. i literally use the TINIEST amount EVER, and i even do the patting motion so its evenly and thinly distributed. STILL i get a greasy t-zone, if i swiped my fingers over my forehead my fingers would be coated in facial oil. im still on the look out for the best moisturizer! on the bright side. the packaging is wonderful! i love the twist and lock thing so you can travel with it without it leaking all over your makeup bag. about the price, i got it for around 14 dollars canadian at my local walmart. its pretty expensive for a product like this. bottom line. is it horrible? No. is it good? No. is it worth the money? No. so i would say invest in a moisturizer that actually benefits your skin. i would get a more expensive moisturizer that actually works! because in the end if you try out three less expensive moisturizers that dont work, youre just wasting the same amount of money! try something else. for reference. i have normal skin on my cheeks and an oily t-zone. (combination skin). i would NOT repurchase this EVER
First off. this is a wonderful product! it's a multipurpose product, its moisturizing and its easy to get a hold of! i use this for my elbows, knees, lips, and eyelashes. ( you should keep what you use for ur lashes seperate from the rest of your body. i put mine in a little container and im almost out!) you can even use it for cuticles! its super moisturizing. i really recommend this product for winter because it saves your lips and all the chapped areas. i have super dry lips and skin (except for my face idk why) and this works WONDERS. i just can not say anymore good things about this product! (: YES it is just like vaseline. but i find if you put a little bit of this it is not at all greasy but vaseline would be! the packaging isnt the best, my tin is all demented and dented. but i can still use it! i will DEFINITELY be repurchasing, in fact i need to get some more now (:
i LOVE everything about this lipstick but the price. thankfully i got it from a GWP and i got two sets so i have a nice baack up. when i do finish this lipstick i really plan on finding a dupe or similar colour or just moving on all together haha (: but i love the texture and consistency its not drying at all. and its very smooth this colour in particular is a medium toned pink, with purple or cool toned reflexes! i love that but i would really like it without the reflex too. it gives a sheen on your lips but if you dontlike that dabbing the lipstick and blotting it will give it a more matte finish. the packaging i cant tell you but from pictures it looks gorgeous! overall if it wasnt because of the price ut would be perfect!
I absolutely am in love with this revlon MSF. It is a dupe to the other MAC MSF's. I own 2 MAC msfs and the texture of this isnt as soft. i got this for 15 dollars and i dont use it to contour because it is way too shimmery and glowy. but i dust it over the highest points of my face, neck, and collar bone to give me that glow. i have a tan and it accentuates it. i also do the 3E motion to give me a really nice healthy kind of look (: i will be repurcahsing if i can EVER finish this! it is a little more on the expensive side for drugstore but i think its totally worth it!
Bronzers -New York Color - Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in Sunny 720
Makeupobsession22 7/22/2011 11:47:00 AM
I have this bronzer in sunny, but it's called matte bronzer! I think I got this a year ago when my Wal mart only had the matte bronzer, now they stocked up on the smooth skin bronzer. They're the same thing I think. But my bronzer is not smooth at all. The roughness of the powder bothers me more than the packaging! I was really disappointed but reading the reviews i think I got a bad one. When I want to swatch it with my finger, the surface of the powder just gets scaly and rough. The color pay off is really buildable. I can give myself a subtle glow or a very contoured chiseled look. But I'm going out and buying another one of these bronzers! I'm probably going to toss this one out and retype a review when I buy another one (:
