I received Carmen via Zoyas Twitter promotion. This red is definitely a great color for all types of skin tones. The color went on smooth and I think it dries faster than the majority of other nail polishes. I have naturally long nails and really like that Zoya is free of a lot of chemicals like toluene, camphor etc.
Stila's Onyx is truly a rich and deep black. I think it's one of the blackest eyeliner I have ever used. It goes on smoothly, but it does wear off quicker than I thought it would, but I would definitely repurchase again.
I am always on the quest to find the best black eyeliner that will stay and is truly a black color. This is one of my favorites, besides Stila! For those who are newbies to eyeliner, this is one could easily be the only one you need, as it goes on smoothly and you don't even need to pull or tighten your skin or the upper line. Loves it!
Lotions/ Creams -Bliss Labs - High Intensity Hand Cream

I like this hand cream because a little goes a long way. At first the smell was not that pleasing to me, but it grew on me. I got the 2.5 fl. oz, which I use while at work. I think to make it really work I massage it well into the skin.
Eye Makeup Remover -Almay - Moisturizing Eye Makeup Remover Pads
MakeupFashionista 10/30/2008 7:20:00 PM
Ok, so I first heard about this from a couple of friends and decided to try it once I saw that it was ranked #1 by Allure magazine. I think the pads are nice size and 80 pads is nice also. It is a bit oily, but it doesn't cause me any problems, but my only gripe with it is that it doesn't take off my mascara or liquid eyeliner that easy, I kind of have to rub it more than I would like (and no I don't use waterproof). But other than that, it is a decent product
This stuff smells so good!!! I have combination skin and too harsh scrubs tend to actually dry out and irritate my skin, so this was actually great. I don't think it's the best or holy grail of all exfoliates, but it does the job for us who only need a bit of scrub. I think it left my skin feeling really soft and silky afterward. I do use Clinique's Exfoliating Scrub for those times when I do need a deeper scrub. But overall I like the strawberry scrub.
I have also been scared to use a toner or astringent because my face my be combination, but even the slightest amount of alcohol in a product will dry my face out really bad. So I was kind of surprised when I tried this cleansing lotion, which the website claims is a toner, worked and didn't feel harsh. I don't use it everyday, but more on a every two day basis as this is what works for my skin type. It's is not strong at all for me, the smell I actually like, and I can see on the cotton pad I use that it is getting all the dirt my facial cleanser wasn't able to get. It helps a bit with some minor pimples, but this specific lotion isn't intended to actually help too much with problematic skin.
I came across this cleanser from youtube users and some bloggers, so I decided that I would give it a try after checking out Mario Badescu website. I have to say as someone who doesn't like to try a new product in fear that my face will breakout, I have to say that this cleanser is really gentle and refreshing. I haven't broken out and I have been using for about 3 weeks. For me, I feel like the cleanser makes my skin feel cleaner, especially when used with the Cucumber toner they suggested for me.
I first came to know of SolarOil from a nail technician at a salon I was going to. I have been addicted to this stuff since and that was first in 2000. It's not a thick oil and the almond scent is so subtle which is a good thing. I think the best way to get any cuticle oil to work is to make sure that when you wash your hands you put on hand lotion afterwards, which would mean that your cuticle oil will be an addition for getting great cuticles and soft hands.
Top/Base Coats -Sally Hansen - Hard As Nails- Natural Tint
MakeupFashionista 6/10/2008 2:26:00 AM
I love this stuff. I have naturally long nails, but once the weather starts to cool down and get down right cold, my nails start to get really brittle, especially since I was going to a school where it was so cold and snowy. This stuff helps to make sure that your nails don't chip, plus it makes your nails look really nice with a hint of color. Oh, yeah, and after your nails dry you have extremely manicure worthy shiny nails!!
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in Brick Wall
MakeupFashionista 6/10/2008 2:19:00 AM
I am a fan of Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear. I love the nail polish Black Out, so I decided to try another in a red shade. I bought Brick Wall and I actually like it. Inside the bottle it looks a bit dark, but when you but at least two coats on it is a bit lighter. I like it a lot. It's not that expensive so I would try it.
Polishes -Sally Hansen - Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in Black Out
MakeupFashionista 6/10/2008 2:14:00 AM
I love this black polish. It goes on smooth and even. The shine you get is so nice, so much so that you don't even need a top coat of clear polish. I tried Wet n Wild's black nail polish when Black Out was sold out and hated it, I immediately went back to my Hard as Nails.
How can any company get black nail polish wrong? Obviously, Wet 'n' Wild can and did. My roommate wanted to try a cheap black nail polish and I wanted one, just not Wet n Wild, but I caved in when I saw it was only 99 cents, can't beat that price. Well, she did her nails first and her nails looked like she rubbed them in some lint and touched all over them. That's how bad the polish goes on the nails. I thought maybe she just wasn't putting it on right, maybe she was talking on the phone and doing her nails with a shaky hand. I did my nails and was so upset. The brush sucks and the color went on so uneven and the worst part, the polish is so clumpy!!!! But I guess that is what one gets for a 99 cent nail polish. I highly recommend getting Sally Hansen's Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear in Black Out Creme (24), which was the polish I was originally going to buy, but they were sold out
I got L, a by L.A.M.B. this past Christmas from my mom. I so gave her obvious hints about it hahaha. I swear, this is one of three perfumes that I get the most compliments on. I love it so much that I am frugal on how much I use. Seriously, I could go buy another one, but I love it so much that I only want to use it on special occasions or when I want to feel extra sexy!! The guys love this one!! So ladies, go out and buy it and see for yourself. Love it a lot!!
Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Mango Body Butter
MakeupFashionista 6/10/2008 1:28:00 AM
I love the Mango Body Butter. I used to wear it all the time, but got tired of buying so many jars that now I just use it about twice a week, so it feels like I'm treating myself to something special, which I am. It has the best feel going on and the smell is so refreshing, especially since I like mangoes. Another plus is that the Body Shop doesn't test on animals so you feel even more guilt free my using it. After putting it on my skin feels so soft. Also it has helped with the occasional dry patches that I get on my upper arms.
